From the interview it sounds like Calvin's trying to get away from his chart friendly sound then and is done with features (for now at least).
Hypnagogic sounds very 90s rave, can't see it going down as one of my absolute Calvin faves if I'm being honest, but it sounds great nonetheless. Probably needs a few more listens to grow. |

I recognise the refrain of Hypnagogic in Altern 8 - Activ 8 (Come With Me) from 1991 that It contains samples of this song from 1982 (jump to min 2:32)

I am absolutely here for that sort of sound from him to continue tbh. I have a massive soft spot for the rave music from the early 90s so I love it when current tracks are produced to sound in a similar vein.
