Q3 update: https://www.sporcle.com/games/Thermometer1/...-2020-q3-update

Q2 update: https://www.sporcle.com/games/Thermometer1/...its-of-2020-q12

++ OP ++

https://www.sporcle.com/games/Thermometer1/...hits-of-2020-q1

you have 20 minutes to name as many UK top 40 hits as you can (out of the 113 that have charted this year) just from the lead performers' names.

got them all with 14:16 to spare, but then again I compiled it. tongue.gif

Got them all with 10:45 left, but it could've been about 5 minutes shorter if it weren't for No Denying by J Hus and Me & You Together Song by The 1975 - the latter of which I'd genuinely forgotten, idk how I ended up remembering it!

90/113 - gave up after I reached these as I knew I wouldn't get the rest based off just artist names.

Ei8ht Mile is a tough one, surprised if many get this! Also forgot a couple like Selena's Rare and Stormzy's Still Disappointed

So many forgettable hits within the first 3 months!

I got them all with 11:52 to go. I'm sure I will have forgot quite a few by the end of the year though.

Me & You Together Song & Baby Pluto were the ones that really took some thinking. Somehow both No Denying & No Cellular Site weren't coming to me for a while even though I was singing along to them and had previously charted them both myself.

Got them all, the only one that took me a while to remember the title of was MIST's 'Savage' - I do still remember that song but annoyingly the title isn't in the hook, I was thinking I might just not get that one but it did suddenly come back to me after a few minutes!

Come back to me at the end of the year and I imagine I will have forgotten some of the more fleeting UK rap hits like everyone else already has though... tongue.gif Although 'Savage' likely won't be one of them as it looks like Megan Thee Stallion's song of the same name is also likely to become a top 40 hit and that one will be a little more memorable haha

(Ed Sheeran briefly tripped me up as well for the same reason as on the 2019 end of year quiz, he has had so many hits that it's kind of tough to remember the chronology of them lol I embarrassingly missed 'South Of The Border' last time and I may have done so again this time if not for remembering that I'd missed it before laugh.gif)

Got 112/113 with 12 minutes to go then couldn't for the life of me work out what the other one was (it was Fredo - Netflix & Chill and that doesn't even ring a bell with me so can't say I'm that annoyed tongue.gif)

I didn’t do well at all I got 64 in total and 3/4 I got within the first two minutes.

I struggled remembering album tracks what got top 40 and a few people who had multiple tracks there I do I’d only remember one. I also got some wrong where I was going for artists recent tracks when it was a 2019 track what made top 40 this year (like Tomes and I for example)

At least that passed 20 mins of time though smile.gif

92/113

The only big hit that I forgot existed was This Is Real. I should've also remembered Ode To Joy and Pee Pee just from seeing the artist names since they were "memorable" songs for better or worse. The rest were all fleeting "hits" that failed to leave an impression.

I got 84.

Biggest misses were the 2 Sheeran songs Beautiful People & South of the Border

Also I genuinely have no recollection of the Bieber song Forever, that has passed me by completely! Was it even played on the Chart?

Pretty sure it was, but it was just a fleeting album track entry and a very generic title (not to mention a mind-numbingly boring song) so don't blame you for forgetting it ~

Time we had a Q2 update

https://www.sporcle.com/games/Thermometer1/...its-of-2020-q12

165/169 for me.

(that Nafe Smallz track really has to be the most forgettable top 40 hit in recent memory)

159/169

Embarrassingly forgot the name of the BLACKPINK song which debuted this week, as well as not knowing some of the J Hus tracks

I got 166/169.

The 3 I couldn't remember were

Demi Lovato - I Love Me
Justin Bieber - Forever - I remembered it featured Post Malone but couldn't get the title.
Lil Uzi Vert - Baby Pluto

The Gerry Cinnamon & Don Toliver songs took me an age to remember.
