Only The Young do have the top spot!

Congratulations to Mikey, Charlie, Parisa and Betsy-Blue, commonly known as Only The Young, who have gone straight to number one with I Do.

I Do becomes the second song by a contestant of last year's series of The X Factor to be number one, following Ben Haenow's winner's single Something I Need.

Sigma and Ella Henderson remain at number two, while What Kind Of Man falls two places to #3. However, with them headlining Glastonbury this weekend, they could very well regain the number one next week.

Black Magic steps down one place to #4, while Shine is a non-mover at #5.

King goes back up 3 places to #6, while Ed Sheeran soars from #75 straight into the top 10 at #7. It's 68 place climb is the second biggest on record, trailing only Boom Clap, which catapulted itself from #94 to #7, a 87 place climb. This is not the first time Photograph has climbed a hefty numbr one of places, as it jumped 48 places to #41 in its second week, a position which until now was its peak. Body Talk falls 4 places to #8, Together falls 3 places to #9, and Mirror Man remains at #10, marking it's 30th week in the top 10. It is by quite some distance the biggest number of weeks in the top 10, as the song with the next biggest number of top 10 weeks, Superheroes, spent 25 weeks in the top 10.

Other entries

Giorgio Moroder and Foxes enter at #23 with Wildstar, a track on the former's new album Déjà vu, which has spawned two other top 40 hits. Other is the title track, which peaked at #14 and this week is at #56, while the other, Tom's Diner, got to #35 in its single top 100 week.

Oscar-winning film composer James Horner sadly died in a plane crash on Monday. He composed the scores for Braveheart, Avatar and Titanic, among other films. He also wrote Céline Dion's international hit My Heart Will Go On and convinced James Cameron to use it in the film. That song re-enters at #68, while a composition from the Titanic score, Rose, enters at #30. It appears twice in the film, first at the "I'm flying!" scene and Jack and Rose's first kiss, and at the end of the film just before the credits. Thank you James Horner for making memorable films even more memorable with your fantastic scores, and may you rest in peace. Your legacy will go on.

Coming to a more cheerful subject, Sia re-enters the top 100 at #54 with Chandelier. George Michael also re-enters at #68 with Careless Whisper.

The Weeknd enters at #62 with Can't Feel My Face, while Years & Years are new at #80 with Foundation.

We have two songs which originally spent just one week in the top 100, but who re-enter this week. The first is Bad Blood by Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar which re-enters at #84, beating its original peak of #88. The second is The Giver (Reprise) by Duke Dumont, which re-enters at #99.

High Climbers and New Peaks

Kygo and Parson James enter the top 20 at #17 while Stole The Show, while Not Letting Go breaks into the top 40 at #17.

Various Storms and Saints climbs three places to #15. This is quite a contrast to other songs by Florence + The Machine, such as Delilah (19-37), How Big How Blue How Beautiful (25-40) and St. Jude (37-57).

Jumping from the lower area of the top 75 into the top 40 is becoming a frequent move, as Talking Body jumps from #69 to #36. It isn't the only song to do so this week, as Photograph jumps from #75 to #7 as previously mentionned.

Rixton all wanted their third single to not be a #86 flop, and they have gotten what they wanted: We All Want The Same Thing climbs to a new peak of #67. Somewhere Only We Know, meanwhile, climbs 28 places to #69.

While no one climbs a number of places anywhere close to the 68 by Photograph (Talking Body being the next highest climber with 33 places), one song succeeds in making another 50+ place move - only in the opposite direction. That song is Psycho, which crashes down 53 places from #20 to #73. While this needs verification, the biggest fall in the chart's history is of 54 places, a fall Muse barely avoids bettering.
