ED SHEERAN -- ONLY THE 4th ACT TO SPEND A YEAR ON TOP OF EITHER UK CHART

Last Week, Ed Sheeran spent his 52nd Week on top of the UK Singles Chart. He is only the 3rd
Act to achieve it. He was the 4th Act, to reach a Year on top of, either the UK Singles Chart, or
the UK Album Chart. Two of the 4 Acts, have managed it on top of both Charts.

The same 4 Acts, are also, the UK's 'Most Weeks On Chart' Artists. ABBA had been in 3rd place,
since late 1979, until Ed Sheeran over-took them a few Weeks ago.

A).. The Beatles -- 69 No.1 Singles Weeks + 146 No.1 Albums Weeks = 245 No.1 Weeks

B).. Elvis Presley -- 80 No.1 Singles Weeks + 66 No.1 Albums Weeks = 146 No.1 Weeks

C).. Ed Sheeran -- 53 No.1 Singles Weeks + 41 No.1 Albums Weeks = 94 No.1 Weeks

D).. ABBA -- 31 No.1 Singles Weeks + 57 No.1 Albums Weeks = 88 No.1 Weeks

THE SHADOWS -- 4 'CONTENTIOUS' OCCASIONS WHEN IT WAS ACHIEVED

The Shadows also achieved the Feat - if we add their Cliff Richard & The Shadows
No.1's to their Shadows No.1's. I've checked, and The Shadows were credited on
the Columbia Label, with all of their Cliff Richard & The Shadows Hits. However,
The Official UK Charts Company only credits 1 of their Cliff Richard & The Shadows
No.1's to The Shadows - 'Travellin' Light', (1959). (They were called The Drifters,
when they had their first No.1, with Cliff Richard. That was 'Living Doll', in 1959).
