Given shes confirmed shes in the studio by about a dozen social media posts and this interview, I think it's quite clear shes working on something. Whether that be an album or just a single, I thought I'd start a thread cheer.gif

What sound does everyone want her to go for and what sort of styling/image?

Zachary and Tatiana are Mollie King fans, so I don't think so.

But it should be, nothing is confirmed yet.

She is SO media-trained as well, like to the very bones! laugh.gif I can't.

- "Are you in the studio on your own or are people joigning you?" (which was basically a subtle "Is it solo material or The Saturdays music?")
- "Oh, with people joigning me, yes. I always have that company, don't I? So yeah with company, THANK YOU (k bye now I gotta go before you ask questions I shouldn't be answering)

I kinda felt like she never wanted the public/people to know she was recording music as a solo artist because she has no recording contract yet. She probably wants to save her face in case she never gets one...which is actually a possibility.

She did post lots of photos/instagram posts about her time in the studio throughout the last year, but they were always really vague and with the group situation being so uncertain, it did feel like it could just be something for The Saturdays instead of a solo album. I mean the fact that she got the Carl Ryden tweet deleted (the one that clearly stated #soloproject with a picture of Mollie recording a song, and then reposted without the hashtag) is an obvious example of how she wanted to post about being in the studio, yes, but with as little specifics as possible, just in case. I truly don't think she meant for the fact that she's recording solo music to actually get "out there" before she got a record deal.

I don't know, there's just something about the way that she doesn't want to let anything slip, like you say Zach, when it comes to a solo career. When the ""break"" had been clearly established, Una got really direct and honest about recording solo music. I mean, even that interview with Rochelle where she coolly and uninhibitedly admit the other girls are doing solo singles. Mollie, on the other hand, has been particularly vague and hesitant.

Thing is : she's really good at avoiding questions. What she does is she basically give half an answer so it doesn't feel like she's given you absolutely nothing, but then turn the question away "I always love a company, don't I?!" and change the topic. She does that a lot, in fact. Very naturally.

Seriously, that answer just annoys me. It's basically nothing. It's media-training at its finest.

I'll be sad if we don't get a solo album on a par with Rachel Stevens' "Come & Get It" from either Mollie or Frankie. They are the ones I can see sticking truest to the pop side of The Sats' output if they did go solo.

I agree Hurricane, she is probably trying to save face. The only other thing I can think of is she does have a record deal and she's been instructed not to say anything. Whatever the case it's annoying laugh.gif I need to hear that Carl Ryden track...

I don't get it.. Out of all the girls, Mollie seems to have gotten a solo deal.. Becky Hill is a big name and has has featured on big dance tracks with Rudimental and a number 1 with Geko last year..
As well as that recording in studios atm in Sweden must be being financed by someone? Perhaps Polydor have given her a solo deal?
