It would make sense if there was something bad associated with the song for Kylie to ignore it.
Over her many tours, the anti tour and tv shows many of her songs have got a look in even if for just 10 seconds in a medley but this has got nothing. Kids on the other hand is overused. |

I love some kind of bliss aswell and think it gets a hard time, not as good as breathe but miles ahead of it did it again.

Some Kind Of Bliss for many is remembered as the first Kylie song to miss out on achieving a Top 20 position.
As a result, i think some may have a slight resentment towards it. I do really like the song, not her best single by a long mile but very far from her worst too. |

Kylie and her team probably should have stuck to their guns and gone with either 'Too Far' or 'Limbo' as lead single to Impossible Princess, like originally planned, but I can see the logic of going with 'Some Kind of Bliss'. They probably saw it as a 'safer' option as it's one of the more commercial and accessible tracks on the album. I don't know how much better 'Too Far' or 'Limbo' would have performed as they're pretty radical changes from what we've heard from Kylie before and that could have worked in either favour - maybe they'd have surprised like 'Confide in Me' did or maybe they'd have performed even worse. Either way, they would have represented the album better and would probably be judged better with hindsight because of that.
If they wanted something accessible, 'Did It Again' would have been a great choice if it still had that video. |

I think Limbo may have been the best song to lead the album as it had an edgy dance sound to it and the performances would have been energetic.
Many felt Kylie looked uncomfortable performing Some Kind Of Bliss and the sound didn't match Kylie. I did not feel that myself but the point was understandable. Looking back the singles that may have in someway helped the album do better could be: Limbo Too Far Breathe Dreams/Did It Again Did it Again remains my least liked of the singles but it had the commercial sound and the video was great. |

Kylie was making a name for herself in clubs during the 90s and 'Limbo' would have tapped into that really well.

I agree about limbo, prob not a huge hit but had the most potential. That's not to take away from some kind of bliss as I've always been a big fan of it. I dont need anyone I love and I think that was due to be the 4th single as far as I know.

I Dont Need Anyone was sent to radio but i am unsure if it was outlined as an official potential 4th single that got cancelled.

I would like to see Better Than Today with a vote but with it only a single vote poll i couldn't vote for it.
That said, it is a song i understand why it was left off as its another single Kylie has completely moved away from in her performances. |
