Just finished. I'm a sucker for these tell all documentaries. So good. Such an emotional rollercoaster and it's great to see just how much work she puts into everything. Like, you knew she was a perfectionist and an "all in" girl, but it's amazing to actually see it. Her playing 'Joanne' for her Grandma was so beautiful. </3

She really is one of a kind. People say she "shades" Madonna, but I genuinely don't think it's shade at all. Yeah she says stuff about it, but it's just her interpretation of it. It's nice to hear someone so famous speak so openly about the feud and you actually believe them.

She's very special. We need to take good care of her.

I've just seen her play Joanne for her grandma and dad and I'm weeping. That was too honest a moment to share :'(

As others have said, the moment where she played Joanne was incredible but everything about the song and Joanne herself was heartbreaking at the same time sad.gif Her grandma must have been so proud <3

This was such a good watch sob.gif Touching moments throughout, but plenty of laughs and a true representation of what she's like behind the scenes (determined, fearless but also fragile and sensitive). I'm so glad we got this, it's really made the whole Joanne era even more meaningful wub.gif

This was fantastic, and really just solidifies my love for her. I always find it so interesting when people who seemingly have it all are so unhappy.

The album really was a gift to her father, right? It does sound better than ever listening to it since.

Completely all of this.

As she mentions, the fans knew something was up with her pretty much from the end of the BTW era and especially during the ARTPOP era. It's quite a relief to be able to put a name to her illness and for her to openly share the ghosts that have haunted her.

On the album, it certainly is making a lot more sense after watching this, i'm finding myself returning to it a fair bit more now again!

So glad that there are people who have watched the doc, Pulse is so quiet! biggrin.gif

I love this so much, have watched it 3 times already! My favourite part is probably the Bad Romance performance but I also love how she talks her performances as WE, "We are going to get the Super Bowl" and how she defends her dancers saying they're tired. True queen <3

GAGA'S STREAMING SPIKES AFTER FIVE FOOT TWO
Lady Gaga is enjoying a streaming spike in the wake of the documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two bowing on Netflix.

The film, taking viewers behind the scenes of a year in her life leading up to her Super Bowl LI performance, recently premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. The Netflix launch, however, has boosted no fewer than 10 tracks.

Spotify reported a 53% increase in Interscope's "Joanne" songstress's streams as of the Monday after Five Foot Two's premiere (9/25). "Joanne" in particular boasted a 365% streaming increase since the Monday prior to the doc's release (9/18). "Hey Girl" had a 259% bump and "Sinner's Prayer" was up 238%. All 10 of the songs reported had at least a 100% increase.

Rewatched this and found it potentially even better second time round. What a feat.

FINALLY watched this today and was just so stunned by how personal and touching it is. I feel like Gaga is one of the few artists daring enough to open up her entire personal life in a documentary but it has made me appreciate her so much.

I physically started sobbing after she finished playing "Joanne" to her Grandma and it seems that moment touched so many people here on Buzzjack too. It was endearing to see her funny side as well in moments like the Walmart scene :') Overall, this is a very special documentary and I'm glad she shared it with us heart.gif

I personally found it a little too raw. I think because I am fairly private and I can't think of anything worse than having my troubles/difficult times broadcast on TV I found it a bit cringe to watch at times. The bit where she was playing Joanne for her grandmother I had to actually leave the room, I cannot understand why anyone would want to put their grandmother in that position in front of cameras. sick2.gif

I did find interaction with recording and her dancers interesting to watch though. I am a huge Gaga fan, love her music and think she is so unbelievably talented, but this was too personal for me I wouldn't want to watch it again.

I felt the same about the grandma scene as well, but that was the only one. I think it's because for once it made other people uncomfortable, not just herself, but it was also interesting to watch.
