an anthem for the multitude of young people who've got a court summons for failing to pay their council tax on time

absolutely dreadful, sounding like an out-of-tune pixar number spliced with the novelty value of 'rockstar'. it will be huge over summer no doubt.

This is:
  1. Literally the song that a sitcom character becomes obsessed with in those episode subplots, and which, as a result, inflicts great mental suffering upon the character's loved ones
  2. The sonic equivalent of those scenes in cartoons where the character is unable to wake up from a series of nightmares and some kind of specter keeps on haunting them throughout, mocking their terror (in this case it's that goddamn piano figure)
  3. The soundtrack to a comical montage of my most embarrassing moments

This will be absolutely huge. I downloaded it a few days ago out of interest and it's just come on shuffle and my initial reaction was 'what on EARTH is this?'.

Very different to everything out there atm but still sounds really commercial, a clear monster smash.

(I sort of love it too, apols)

Really? I can't see it personally.

It does have that "F**k You" kind of vibe to it but I can't see it springing the interest of casual buyers...

This sounds like it could be one of the biggest hits of the year if it's actually given a chance. Catchy, radio friendly and just begging to go viral.

This is going to be one of those horrible viral "novelty" hits ain't it? Ugh

So a novelty song then... just like All About the Bass really. Reliant on gimmicks and pleasing people initially before annoying them for months afterwards!

This sounds like a big surprise smash hit. And Scott Mills just played it on Radio 1, imagine if radio get behind this, it could be huge!

The difference between this and All About That Bass is that I find this charming and novelty aside, it's a great tune.

Unironically, unashamedly in love with this guy. Lad.

I like it and hopefully the result of it smashing across the world will be Nicki Minaj releasing "Trini Dem Girls".

It reminds me more of Afroman than Meghan Trainor, and it's MILES better than the latter anyway, kinda starting to like it a lot.

If by 'hopefully' you mean hopefully NOT then yes, I agree.

AWFUL song. I like to think Trini Dem Girls to the Pinkprint is like what No Angel is to BEYONCÉ, a stain.

I like it, and not just because of its lyrical humour, but it's also quite catchy (and tbh I wasn't expecting everyone to like it kink.gif)
Hope it gets the top 5 as it's picking up views at a fairly quick rate biggrin.gif
