I really don't know what to expect from these results tbh - probably helping that I haven't really paid as much attention as I usually do - so should be an interesting one! Cheering for my faves which I hope should mostly do pretty well due to actually standing out among what is sadly a bit of a sea of blandness.

Hello, Persephonia delivering some rather last minute votage again, apologies for that ~

Commiserations go to D'yermak'er (ooops, first time in a while for that I think but ), Ultraviolenceland (their 2nd best entry to date), Altyr Muunilinst (actually thought I might vote for them again but ALAS still not quite) and Singerpurear.

In these votes I essentially mostly reward the songs that stood out, because there were a good number of songs this month that did so in a very good way. And that's Séyetana above all else. Quite a masterstroke of an entry there. Other two medal positions going to two rather different but almost equally brilliant ~Iberian~ tracks, including what I think I'd now call my favourite entry to date from Desbuanda. And Oslol have got me again grabbing 12 points this time with 'Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence', reminding me a little of Mike Oldfield ~ and a very lovely tribute to David Bowie.

Also a full FOUR countries getting first time points from us - What and Zaminton getting a few points with their first finalists, plus St. Burbia getting there on second attempt and Dobago on their fourth. Yay.

And of course we have declared war on the English language and put 3 foreign language tracks and an instrumental as our top 4. Unintentional, but appropriate. Sorry Daehun

If someone had said Zonderling would be a contender from the off I'd have been saying the same things about that in the odds all contest, giving me exactly the same feelings as Delta Heavy in that I don't understand the MASS love for it. Pretty nice, sure, but not high point worthy at all.

I couldn't help but notice that a lot of the countries that would like Against the Current hadn't been revealed yet Is now when the slayage starts? (stunned it was doing so badly for so long though).

Allie X would be a very meh winner and this Aeroche song really isn't their best would much rather N DNTN gets up there, or Jadakissnia/Persephonia just for the complete surprise (really did not see that coming especially the latter damn at this being one of their rare entries I wasn't fully behind). Or What can get back there, loved seeing them winning briefly.
