So we have a favourite's poll in the other forum, more controversially, which is your least favourite? (Cue drama )

Mine is Geri, which is a shame as at one point she was my favourite Spice Girl and I actually love alot of her solo stuff. I just find her irritating now though, she doesn't know when to stop and some of her comments are so cringe... for example when she said at the Brits about Kula Shaker "Where are you now" it was so embarrassing, then in Jonathan Ross interview she just didn't know when to shut up and let others speak. I also used to think she was really wise and deep wheres now I find when she starts rambling I think 'Oh god Geri please shut up'

Geri.
For me, she is all image and no substance. Her contributions to the group were media attention mainly and writing, and that is fine I guess but as a pop star, naaaa. Her vocals are bad - even after she got better - and her dancing has always been terrible. On an artistic level, she was great in the 90s. Since then, she hasnt developed a thing. Her writing is the same as it was then which shows no lack of development. Her music of recent times is also completely stuck in her old sound. To this day, I think it was interesting that she was going into disco territory for her 3rd album, but the result was piss poor nonetheless (from what we heard anyway). So yeah, Geri. Followed closely by Victoria, but at least her solo album was interesting musically. |

Victoria
Out Of Your Mind is the only Victoria song I purchased. |

I voted for Victoria as I never really understood her musical direction as a solo artist (apart from 'Let Your Head Go', which came too late in the day).
Geri was the personality of the band in its heyday. And she's written some amazing pop songs (and I reckon a large part of the Spice Girls material). She was a genius of her time. But time moves on. |

While I'm not a geri fan I think the 5 of them all brought something to the table to have made what the spice girls became. With the spice girls I felt everyone knew who was who as they all had a clear identity. I'm not dissing the Saturdays as i dont mind them but in contrast to the spice girls i barely knew who was who in the Saturdays bar una as she was from my own country.

Victoria as of right now but it's always between her and Mel B.
I personally love the solo music output just as much as group and for the most part Geri, Emma and Mel C have provided me with lots of enjoyable tracks. I also consider Schizophonic, Northern Star and Free Me the three best records from the solo careers and that also boosts those 3 above the others. Victoria I really haven't been interested in one little bit for at least ten years now. I barely even look on her as a Spice Girl anymore and I think the Beckhams are overexposed themselves big time in so many ways. |

I'm stunned that Mel B is (currently) on zero.
Less stunned that Emma is on zero. |

I think Mel B is a big part of the band though. They wouldn't be the Spice Girls without her look and attitude. They'd be Girls Aloud.
I can't imagine them ever performing without Scary. |

I'll pick Geri for being a Tory.

I'll never understand why Geri is a tory. She claims to come from poverty. Surely she should support those who work for their success, just like she did.
But then, she is as mad as a box of frogs. So why look for the logic? |

I'll never understand why Geri is a tory. She claims to come from poverty. Surely she should support those who work for their success, just like she did. But then, she is as mad as a box of frogs. So why look for the logic? Money spoils and exploits people. Look at Sir Allan Sugar, one of the most hidious men in the UK. He was from a working class background and made his fortune at the expense of many poor people, and constantly undermines those less privileged than him. Geri being a Tory is the biggest stain on people's perceptions of her, to be honest. Every time she voices support for Tory governments, there's vast outrage and people say how dissapointed in her they are. This was a woman who vouched for inclusivity and for feminism, but perhaps only when it suited her, which is totally a Tory move lol Being a Tory is quite damaging for your public persona. Just look at the iconic Kate Bush who was accused of being a Tory and came out recently to say that she would never vote for the party. She barely ever makes public statements or interviews but she came out of her shell to say that specifically lol Good on her!! |

It probably would be Geri now, which for me is crazy as back in 96/97 she was by far my favourite. But I find in more recent years since the reunion back in 07 up until now I just find her so protentious and serious none of that fun Geri that drove the band back in the early days. She seems rather bland now and like a cheap imitation of Victoria.

Let's be real though if Geri was still acting like the person she was back then now as a 40 something married mother of two she'd be considered a car crash like Kerry Katona or Katie Price. Geri has certainly mellowed but in interviews and on All Together Now her fun quirky side still comes out.
