Maroon 5 climb five places to claim their third consecutive no.1 on the chart following, This Summer (No.1 2015) and Don't Wanna Know (No.1 2016) the latter just falls out the chart this week after 19 weeks.

The remainder of the chart though sees a whopping eight new entries! The highest of which goes to Sia with House on Fire, which narrowly misses out on becoming her 4th no.1 on the chart. Kaiser Chiefs follow on swifly behind with their second and so far highest charting single following Stay Together which peaked at no.4 a few weeks back.

Elsewhere The 1975 claim their 12th chart entry, with all of their previous entries reach the top five with four having gone all the way. Following on behind are Kings of Leon with their 5th chart entry and first since Beautiful War in December 2013 which peaked at No.5. Their biggest charting song remains Comeback Story which logged four weeks at no.1 in October 2013.

The Weeknd makes a return to the chart with the funky I Feel It Coming. It becomes his 4th chart entry following his collaboration with Ariana Grande on Love Me Harder (No.3 - 2014), I Can't Feel My Face & The Hills (No.s 7 & No.4 in 2015). Daft Punk also make their first appearance on the chart since 2013 this week. Following the entries of Touch (No.7) and their chart topping smash with Pharrell Williams, Get Lucky, which went on to become the second highest chart point earning song of 2013.

Finally Katy Perry makes her first ever appearance on the chart, along with Skip Marley, with the politically charged, Chained to the Rhythm.
