Welcome to the first Least Favourite game of the UK TV and Soaps forum where we will be looking to find your favourite companion of the new era of Doctor Who! I've tried to include all the main companions who have starred in a substantial amount of episodes rather than including all those who are classified as companions. This means a real battle will be unfolding from the start rather than waiting a few rounds for one time companions like Adam and Lady Christina to leave. Deadline: Monday evening |

In a perfect world, Rose, Rory and Clara would be the top 3.

This is already impossible and it's round 1! Rory for me though.

But Martha's like the blandest companion ever (though featured in a top quality series)
I will think lowly of you all if Rose does not slay this, I feel I'll be voting Donna and River Song for AGES won't I? :'( |

Martha is the most underrated companion of the new series
Although they really could've done without her lusting after the Doctor. That's my one criticism |

My one criticism of Martha is her entire existence.
It's a shame though because I do enjoy Freema outside of Doctor Who. |

Martha was a FOUL WENCH. I don't care if you think your brain is as big as Doctor's and you like everyone to know it and you are a strong independent woman it doesn't excuse you being a RANCID c**t.

'The Sontaran Stratagem' and 'The Poison Sky' were ruined by Martha slightly. No, RTD, we do not want to see more of this person. Remove.

They are all great, but Martha just hasn't been as entertaining or funny as the others
Can see why "Ricky" has been getting so many votes but he was a good character, I enjoyed the episodes where he went travelling with the Doc and Rose, especially the Cybermen episodes |

Mickey for me. I didn't mind him to begin with!
Rose or Donna to win this for me! |

I would have to go for Mickey as much as I love both him and Noel. They did the 'inferior' boyfriend thing better with Rory really and he was the 'tin dog' for the majority of his time.

This is very hard for me since I like all of them. I...guess I like Mickey the least? Sure, let's go with him. Sorry Mickey.

Rory gets my vote, wasn't a fan. I don't like boyfriends on the show as it takes away from what the show's meant to be about, so I'd be happy with him and Mickey going first.

I don't mind boyfriends and family on the show actually, in fact I like them, it helps make the companions a bit more grounded and relateable for the audience! I really like Rory and Mickey, and the former in particular really came into his own I think, but yeah they're my two least faves on what is an excellent list imo.

I agree, obviously they're not often highly ranked on people's favourite companions as they don't get as much as the focus but they can help to develop a character and it's always nice to have a different perspective by having a male companion. Rory definitely did come into his own once he became a full-time companion and I'm glad that he was one. I don't think Danny really worked though last year but I guess that's probably because he represented a normal boyfriend too much with his sort of resentment of the Doctor.
