Ariana Grande @ArianaGrande 10 Jul
I will be announcing the name of my album and it's preorder date on Monday [today]. #soon
Really interested in her album, hopefully it'll be similar to The Way. New single coming on 22nd July going by her tweets.
Her styling is basically what the Saturdays should look like. What a fab photo. Not mad on The Way but her voice is insane so I'm looking forward to seeing where she goes from here...
I wasn't keen on The Way either, until I heard the INSANE Jody Den Broeder remix of it. She could be huge if she goes down the dance-electro route as apposed to her current Mariah-lite R&B.
She is truly incredible. Sad to hear she's probably ditched "Daydreamin'"
Apparently the album is called 'Yours Truly' and will now be released on September 3rd!
Ariana has tweeted that 'Yours Truly' will be available to pre-order next week as well as more previews of songs from the album.
Eh, I'm not overly keen at all.
That cover is atrocious.
I thought child pornography was illegal?
I HATE albums that have the same size font and font for both the album title AND artists name. It really does make it look tacky and unprofessional. She looks good though. How old is she ooi?
20.
Not wrong then.
It's very Britney 1999.
LOL
She's been looking waay too skinny on photos lately
The cover is alright, but it's kinda boring
That's not the cover... this is:

What's she doing tweeting https://twitter.com/ArianaGrande/status/362667939280850945 then This new thing still isn't AMAZING but it looks more mature and the font is much better at least.
Why do people obsess over Album covers so much anyway ? I only really care about the music !

I really am loving the sound of this whole album! (Judging by the three songs we've heard)
SO GOOD! I'm becoming so fascinated with her.
i'm pissed that "Daydreamin'" isn't even a bonus track.
Wait. Its on a version of the album. Can she plz confirm the tracklist slready?
CAN YOU NOT READ A COUPLE OF POSTS BACK
Loving "Right There" and this sound that she's continuing to go for. Better than "Baby I".
She really likes the MIKA song.
Love Right There <3
Hurry up Friday! I need this in my life!!
Some nice songs on this album

"Tattooed Heart", "Honeymoon Avenue" and "Daydreamin'" are obvious standouts.
Lovin' It must use the same sample as It's All Gravy by Romeo/Christina Milian! Brilliant little debut album on first listen! Packed with hooks and melody throughout and she has a fantastic voice.
Finally got round to listening to this and it's great! Feels stupidly fresh despite it's obvious, mid 90's Mariah Carey-influences. SO GOOD. That voice is insane. I'm quite baffled as to why Mika didn't give 'Popular Song' a proper push in the UK. It could have been a surprise big hit for him over here (I think everytime I checked iTunes it was a staple in the top 200 - but I haven't checked for two weeks or so, so I have no idea where it is now/how far it's fallen since) had it been sent to UK radios & promoted. I think reducing it to 59p would be a smart move for him.
But yeah, my early favourites are (ignoring the singles): 'Hooneymoon Avenue', 'Right There', 'Tattooed Heart' & 'Better Left Unsaid' but the whole album is fresh and just what we need atm! Hope it's a success for her, I think it can definitely reach the top 5 here in the UK tbh.
It's strange, the original version of Popular Song on Mika's album had some other uncredited singer on it but it seems to have taken on a mini life of its own since the Ariana version came out. He should definitely give it a UK push.
It features Priscilla Renea who wrote 'Gentleman' for The Saturdays. I really hope this album can do well as she has her own sound and isn't another generic trend chasing Selena, so deserves credibility and success.
I predict - #14
I want it to be - #3
Oh my god, Piano is amaze
This will deffo be top 5 in the US. Top 40 here. She's managed two top 75 singles here with NO buzz or promo.
This album is so good I love it ! and it's 5 on UK itunes which is quite a shock for me
Its not available in HMV?!!!
Downloads and "import only" according to the release schedule!
Apparently Number 1 in 30 countries on iTunes Slaying !

I did not get this for christmas.
One of the albums of the year for me! Surprisingly!
I've just been re-listening to this album this week and it is so good. While I really enjoyed it when it was initially released, I never played it too much probably due to the busy release schedule around that time, but now I'm listening to it again it really is fantastic. Stand out tracks for me beside the singles are 'Tattooed Heart', 'Piano' and 'Daydreamin'. I do hope that Ariana's new album does have some tracks similar to the sound of this album as well as her newer "pop" sound.

Problem, Piano and The Way are my top 3 from her
Also, I read the other day than she absolutely hates Put Your Hearts Up, she wanted to "forget it happened before it even happened" and it was "hell" and "the worst moment of her life"
The worst moment of her life was having to release a sub-par single as part of her career as a popstar? My heart bleeds for the poor girl.
She was talking about filming the video, which was indeed atrocious.
She lloked like an oompaloompa
She has said she hates the song too though
Oh really? I read it as the video, my bad
Either way it's a bit stupid, the video isn't the best but there's nothing wrong with the song!
She hates PYHU. During her live show at London last year she said "I'm doing one more song for you, it's a favourite" (starts humming PYHU) and is then like "No wait a song people actually like" in a really sarcy tone. I got really excited at the idea of her performing it. I really like it.
My mutual friend Colleen told me that "Daydreamin'" (the original album) was completely different and Ariana hated half the album.
It was a pretty big deal to her though!
“I still have nightmares about it, and I made them hide it on my Vevo page.”
For those of you who haven't checked this out, please do!!
Just off vocals this is still her best album in my opinion.
I absolutely love it. I wish it had the success My Everything and Dangerous Woman has as I think as a whole album it’s far superior (well it’s definitely superior to My Everything) Such a mature album for someone of her age too (at the time she released it).
So many songs on here would be gigantic if released now especially Tattooed Heart.
This turned 6 today! I was so pleased to see Ariana acknowledging it
still my fav
6 years and still underrated!
loveeeee this album
So wish this wasn’t her debut bc I think it would be so much better appreciated now she’s more known.
Easily her weakest album for me. Nice but nowhere near the quality of her subsequent releases.
This is my least favourite Ariana album as well but I'd probably give it an 8/10 so nothing to be sniffed at my 'Yours Truly' top 5:
01. Piano
02. Popular Song
03. The Way
04. Baby I
05. Honeymoon Avenue
Oh yes, by "still underrated", I actually meant "Everything that followed was better, but still amazing!".
So many of the songs on here still fit nicely in many of my playlists.
On another note, CAN TIME SLOW DOWN ALREADY!! 6 years, how?
love this album
Such a mature album for a debut album and for someone so young at time of release.
Oh wow I never knew that!
If you asked me to put money on who I thought wrote it, I'd never have said it was one of them.
Oh wow this is random, maybe would've expected something like this for the 10th anniversary next year ;o although it does say "the first" so not just an isolated thing:
9 years I associate this era with taking my GCSEs as I was listening to 'The Way' a lot during that time, it really does fly.
It's also my least favourite album of hers - a cute debut and definitely more 'her' than the 'Put Your Hearts Up' sound, but much better was to come.
'Piano', 'Baby I' and 'Honeymoon Avenue' are probably my top 3 nowadays!
Wow! 9 years... i don't know if it's because the highs of 'Honeymoon Avenue' and 'Daydreamin' are so high but i honestly still believe this is her best album.
i remember when it came out in 2013 and i was trying to get all my friends on board with 'The Way' and they HATED it. I had 4 tickets to a tiny Leicester Square show and had to go by myself as noone wanted to come... how things changed the following year but i'll never forget that fond memory.
one memory i have is being with Colleen Balinger (Miranda Sings) in Freedom Bar - she was doing a London residency and asked me to join her at Freedom after the show and we danced and gushed about 'Your Truly' as she was a huge fan.
10 year celebrations incoming:
Maybe an anniversary addition with unreleased tracks would be more than I could ask for. Seems to be a bit of music industry cliché at the moment.
Something's coming!
I can't wait for (what looks like) the live performances
I still prefer this as a whole album to My Everything (and maybe even positions too).
She sounds so comfortable and it feels really natural too. With My Everything that really felt heavily like a label influenced album getting the best writers and producers to write and create an album made for radio / playlists where as this feels like a lovely introduction to one of the best vocalists in the game.
I feel intrigued at wondering how this may have performed outside the US had this been the follow up and My Everything been the debut.
Tattooed Heart was the single that never was from this album!
I think I’ll delve into this on my commute to work tomorrow it’s been a while since I listened it as a whole but it really is quite mature for a debut artist and a young artist too! Hopefully the anniversary and the live performances can help the album have a resurgence it’s quite underrated in the UK compared to the rest of her catalogue - although at the time I was surprised that she managed to get a top ten album with this at the time of its release.
Omggggg!!
Cover art has been revealed
Is that a still from ‘The Way’ video…? how very Glory OG cover
That is comfortably her worst artwork ever
They can't be serious with that album cover! I don't even mind it being a still from the video, the fact it's such an unflattering photo and so blurred!
I'm so excited for this! But that artwork... GIRL!?!
Ari it’s not too late to change the cover like with the original album
Still her best album idc
Will give the whole digital deluxe album a listen later but a strong start with these performances, she sounds beautiful!
all i can say about that album cover is that it's very 2013 😅
Listening to this in the background as the office is dead today and ‘The Way’ is hitting such a nostalgic spot ❤️
Just noticed another unfortunate quality about the artwork on Spotify, it has been cropped with a random white line at the top of it (here’s hoping for a pretty vinyl pressing to somewhat salvage the aesthetics lol)
I just listened to this in the background at work and found it quite amazing how similar she sounds on the live recordings and studio recordings.
'Baby I' performance now up
That's my favourite of the 3 performance videos so far
Really hoping this can have a nice impact on the albums chart this week (especially here in the UK where it’s chart performance was so modest compared to all her other eras).
If only there was a physical release. Hopefully she does do a physical of the expanded edition with the live tracks (and or a vinyl). Get those extra sales!
The vinyl is available to pre-order and has the OG artwork! Doesn't ship until 17th November though so I don't really expect it to chart until then.
'Right There' and 'Tattooed Heart' performances are now up:
Those 'Tattoeed Heart' vocals
Final day of the content schedule:
Album has re-entered the UK Top 100 at #99!
Should climb again once the physicals ship hoping the vinyl can potentially make it return to the top 40?
It’s now spent 5 weeks inside the top 100 and it’s not been as high as this the One Love Manchester event.
Today now marks exactly 10 years since Ariana's debut album Yours Truly was released!
Happy Birthday to an important moment in her career I think it took me a little while to get around to the album in full but I definitely remember hearing (and liking!) 'The Way', 'Baby I' and 'Popular Song' when they came out. Once I did listen in full my favourite album tracks were 'Honeymoon Avenue', 'Tattooed Heart' and 'Piano'!
Ooh this is a nice surprise to come from this project:
My 10th anniversary picture disc turned up today! Completely forgotten that I’d ordered it a few months back so that was a nice surprise
This is showing at #87 in the UK midweeks!
Wonder if there’s still more to be dispatched from the 10 year anniversary edition picture discs.
I’ve listened to this album a few times in full this year for this anniversary:)
