Voting has now closed, thanks to the 31 who did vote - so let's take a look at the five songs that are going direct to the final, and the five that will be given a second chance in the wildcard round. In order from 10th to first, here are your qualifiers.

10th - Leann Rimes – Life Goes On (2002) (60 points)

American country-pop star Leann Rimes had quite a big career in the UK especially given that country influenced music doesn't tend to be successful here most of the time. In 2002 this became her ninth UK top 40 hit, and she wasn't done yet - she would later get her elusive fourth top ten hit in 2004 with 'Last Thing On My Mind', a duet with Ronan Keating which peaked at #5.

9th - Wildchild – Renegade Master (1995) (65 points)

DJ Roger McKenzie ('Wildchild') from Southampton got this song to #11 just weeks before he died from an undiagnosed heart condition at the age of just 24. Fatboy Slim remixed the song 3 years later taking it to #3, and the song remains a dance classic to this day and is frequently sampled in new dance songs.

8th - Olly Murs – Kiss Me (2015) (86 points)

In 2015 this became the 15th UK top 40 hit for former X Factor contestant (and presenter) Olly Murs, entering at #16 and eventually peaking at #11 following a TV performance. He's had two more hits since but is still yet to make another top 10 single.

7th - Bryan Adams – Run To You (1985) (88 points)

For Canadian singer Bryan Adams' breakthrough hit he was unfortunate enough to peak at #11 for four consecutive weeks, but he had of course scored numerous top 10 hits since including the infamous '(Everything I Do) I Do It For You' which spent 16 weeks at #1 (which was actually his first top 10).

6th - Miley Cyrus – The Climb (2009) (89 points)

Recorded for 'Hannah Montana - The Movie', 'The Climb', ahem, climbed to #11 to become the second #11 hit for American singer Miley Cyrus, and soon after she'd follow it up with a third without ever going top ten... until her grand reinvention in 2013 that is. Perhaps we'll see some of her other hits in the wildcard round or even the final. Unluckily for her new single 'Malibu' so far looks like becoming her fourth unless it eventually makes its way into the top ten.

5th - Jennifer Lopez (feat. Pitbull) – Dance Again (2012) (105 points)

How would one follow a massively successful collaboration with Pitbull? By releasing another hundred or so songs with him of course. This was the second time the pair featured on the same song but it couldn't quite give them another #1, instead going ten places lower and only spending two weeks in the top 40. This actually became J-Lo's third #11 hit following 'I'm Glad' and 'Do It Well', but can they follow this one into the grand final?

4th - The Clash - London Calling (1980) (117 points)

The Clash were one of the biggest punk rock bands, originating from you guessed it, London, and getting chart hits in the 70s and 80s as well as the re-release of 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go' reaching #1 in 1991. Whilst that was their only top ten hit this one came close and is still very much remembered as a classic which may well explain how this has done so well in comparison to other 80s hits in the group.

3rd - Green Day – Holiday (2005) (120 points)

American rock band Green Day started having hits in 1994 but it was ten years later when they released their biggest album - 'American Idiot', which features some of the greatest rock songs to ever exist (in my opinion). Following two huge top five hits (the title track went to #3 and 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' went to #5) this one was unlucky enough to just miss the top ten - becoming their second #11 hit. I'll allow myself to give a positively biased commentary here, this song's amazing. Hopefully their other one ('Good Riddance') also follows this straight into the final.

2nd - G.R.L – Ugly Heart (2014) (137 points)

American girlband appropriately titled G.R.L got their first top ten hit featuring on a Pitbull track (remember when he was still relevant?), and their breakthrough solo single hoped to follow suit but just missed out (cue Sam damning streaming for this, although its streaming did eventually pick up enough to give them a few extra weeks in the top 40). The song did eventually manage to make #1 however, when Little Mix covered it. basil.gif

1st - Gwen Stefani – Cool (2005) (151 points)

I really expected G.R.L to top this easily but surprisingly it is Gwen Stefani who is #1. Stefani left No Doubt to start a successful solo career in 2004, debuting with tune of life 'What You Waiting For' and following it up with two more top 10 hits. The next single 'Cool' may have just missed out on giving her another one, but it did well for what was the fourth single from a big selling album.

Onto the rest of the results now, and I'm really glad Danzel did as well as he did as I wasn't sure how remembered 'Pump It Up' was, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to make the wildcard final.

01 151 2005 Gwen Stefani – Cool
02 137 2014 G.R.L – Ugly Heart
03 120 2005 Green Day – Holiday
04 117 1980 The Clash – London Calling
