NOT KATY DROPPING A HOUSE BOP AND GIVING NICKI LIKE 3 VERSES
YASSSSSSS, you know what, honestly speaking, I am missing Katy who would consistently deliver an anthemic chorus but I am LOVING how different she is playing this era and I am here for an experimental album where I don't know what I'm gonna get. Katy doesn't deliver club bops on the regular but now she feels like dabbling her hand in it and I AM SO HERE FOR THAT. Swish swish bitch, another one in the basket x |

Swish Swish is so much better than Bon Appétit omg! Total mess that they've given it the same Spotify support as BA tho, but not complaining and I didn't expect a song with DUKE DUMONT of all people
Awesome <3 |

Loving 'Swish Swish' on first listen. Can't get enough of the chorus (if it is the chorus?)
Nicki's great in it too. Her first verse sounds exactly like her 'Run Up' one though, ha. |

f***ing hell, it's like a mix of a generic dance song and Swalla!! Finding it hard to stan this era
Slay at Nicki's verse tho!! |

I thought the cherry pie lyrics in BA were cheesy enough too but 'swish swish bish'?!? She sounds like a meme

I'm out.
See y'all next era ... if she continues post-meltdown. This is going to be Spirit Indestructible levels of falling from grace. |

WOW at 'Swish Swish'. Interesting to hear Katy go full-on house banger.

This era is really exciting and interesting. I stopped stanning for her a bit over Prism and the Rise made me so upset with how bad it was but these three songs have been fresh, different and exciting.
I'm glad she's not on auto pilot because her formula would have started to get tired. |

in case it's not been realised yet, it heavily samples Fatboy Slim – Star 69.

Not huge on the hook with the title but otherwise I'm liking this one, MILES better than Bon Appetit which has not grown at all when hearing it on the radio. Loving Nicki and also the pre-chorus/hook bit. |

Duke Dumont and 2014 sounding seems like she may finally have something I can get properly on board with this era. Sucks I can't hear it until I get home this evening.

It's def the weakest of the 3 songs so far for me (but then again, I've never been a fan of the house sound completely anyway) but I do really like it!
Agreed with Rob on every point pretty much, tbh! |

This is f***ing brilliant.
I don't care if this era flops. This is the most exciting Katy's music has ever been for me, including in the 'Teenage Dream' era. I really appreciate when someone as big as her really pushes herself like these new songs are doing. There is a lovely carefree "f*** it" type attitude to just releasing what she wants, and this seems particularly free in that way. I'm jammin. |

So 'Swish Swish' is actually produced by Duke Dumont? It doesn't sound like him to me, I'm getting 'Girls Like' vibes from the beat.
As for the song, I can feel myself really getting into this. Said beat is ridiculously catchy and makes me want to start bopping along. |
