Anybody been watching this? I just saw the first episode and it's hilarious! Rachel Bloom is a lawyer who is still obsessed with her summer camp boyfriend 10 years on, she moves from New York to California to be near him. I was apprehensive to watch as much I lvoe Rachel's songs because it's a musical comedy and I didn't see how that would work but it weaves together so well, the songs are hilariously spot on and her character is so funny.
I've started watching this on Netflix. It's very funny. I do think from the first two episodes I've watched they don't quite know how to deal with the running time. There feels like filler.
Second Season started Friday and it was really good It will be interesting to see what happens now Rebecca and Josh are an item.
Also the song highlight from the ep:
*.*
Love this show.
Hilarious, and so much smarter than what you'd expect on the CW.
I watched episode 2 now and GOD I SHIP Rebecca and Greg so much
Omg I am 100% stanning Heather this season *.*
I'm so glad Valencia is back and I absolutely love where they went with that this week. it's really hard to see where the season will go but everything so far has been a delight. the triceratops ballet this week was brilliant.
one of the best shows on TV for sure
"I always knew I kinda liked you... You're basic, but in an enjoyable way"
Omg Heather and Valencia scenes are all I needed *.*
So I watched the first episode of season 3 and Yes at the theme of the series being take down Josh Chan, Cannot stand his character. Elsewhere continuing to love Nathaniel such a cute guy both in looks and in character. Valencia and Heather are still queens like Rebecca. Paula meh not so much in the first episode.
Also this song is actually quite good not left being in my head since I watched it.
"But what about gay men?" "oh no gay men are fine"
Gay men are all really
Great, every single one
They're never mean, just sassy, they're all completely
Adorable and fun
So let's focus for now on straight men
Let's just generalize about men
lmao that song was an actual bop!!!!!
i thought that was quite a good opener, the four girls are so iconic
I ship Rebecca and Nathaniel so bad. Its nice to see some of the other co-workers being used.
Best song of ep 2:
For all her madness and unlucky in love tendencies Rebecca gets all the good D lmao
LET ME CHOKE ON YOUR COCKSUREDNESS
Also does anyone feel the pain when a song is wasted on anyone bar Rebecca lmao
Heather is a true queen
I think this week's ep might be one of my favourite eps of the whole three series so far!
Ok that was a HEAVY episode but so important why isn't this the biggest show on tv tbh
That was such a heavy episode but I am glad they did it to highlight certain mental issues
Valencia's song this week was amazing
also yes at the Mental Health storyline
I never knew how much I needed a song about healthy sperm till I watched this week's episode.
So this episode was one of the highlights of the entire series
White Josh is life
I watched episode 1 last night and it was fun. Am I the only one thinking that 20-minute (30 tops) episodes would work better?
This show is f***ing incredible. I found season 1 a bit slow but the later two were so good. Paula is everything. I do really like Rebecca at times but as a character she can be annoying to watch, especially how she treats her friends.
This has been renewed for season 4, which will be the last Sad to see it end, although I still haven't finished season 3
I'm just thankful it will be having another season!! Sad to see it be the last but four seasons is still pretty good.
Rachel Bloom herself confirming that they pitched this as a 4 season story when they pitched the show initially. It’s refreshing to see a network buying into that and allowing it to play out fully without the pressure to keep going or to cull it short.
I imagine that the popularity of this on Netflix internationally helps the CW immensely with that choice
