Christian Horner: Red Bull team principal under investigation following allegations Red Bull Formula 1 team boss Christian Horner is under investigation after a complaint of inappropriate behaviour was made against him. Red Bull said it took the allegations "extremely seriously" and has started an investigation. Horner, 50, oversaw Red Bull's record-breaking 2023 season in which the team won 21 of 22 races as Max Verstappen secured his third world title. Horner says he "completely denies" the allegations. Though Red Bull have not confirmed the nature of the complaint, BBC Sport understands the claims relate to an allegation of inappropriate behaviour of a controlling nature. "After being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation," Red Bull said in a statement. "This process, which is already under way, is being carried out by an external specialist barrister. The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practically possible. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time." Asked about the allegations by Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Horner said: "I completely deny these claims." Horner has been Red Bull team principal since they first started on the F1 grid in 2005 and has gone on to win seven drivers' championships and six constructors' championships with the team. Having received an OBE in 2013, Briton Horner was appointed a CBE in the New Year's Honours list last year after Red Bull won all but one of the grands prix in the 2023 season. He raced competitively as a youngster but retired aged 25 and set his sights on managing an F1 team. Horner married Spice Girl Geri Halliwell in Bedfordshire in 2015. Looks like he has been sexting and sending unwanted pics to a female employee. So this looks bad for him but also on Geri, which is a shame.
This maybe the reason Mel has cut ties for now with Geri on social media, as although this isn't domestic violence it might be he has abused his power at Red Bull Racing to do this. Which wouldn't look good to a champion of female abuse charities. I will say obviously we have no idea what has happened but the transformation of Geri as person/personality since meeting him is shocking to me and I always feel uncomfortable with it, like it is to please him. |

I'd be very careful with speculation on this, specially when there is serious allegations involved. Lets wait for confirmations.
We do not know how this is affecting Geri, which I would hope is the main person we are worried about in this SPice-related forum. Speculating about this and how it might or not impact her relationship with the others, is wrong and would do no favours to her, or the victim of this story (the person levelling the allegations towards Christian). I would say however, that I've never been a fan of him. He is not well liked at all in the Sports world, and is known as a bit of a prick. |

Geri is a giant MELT, with an external locus of identity. She moulds herself into whoever she needs to be based on what she thinks people WANT to see; in this case, she decides to be landed geņtry and the REAL posh spice, don't you know?, and so changes her entire perosnality and being, and goes around singing sound of music songs in the countryside, with a guitar she doesn't know how to play... A sad joke for most, but Geri doesn't care; she just WANTS the APPEARANCE of what she thinks OTHERS want to see. It's not necessarily about the husband, but more about EVERYONE seeing this new persona. The persona is, of course, TOTALLY FAKE, and it becomes extremely performative. Geri has never been a good actor though, quite talentlsss at everything, and so it comes across as being what it is - totally fake. The performance has more to do with the media and her new posh friends than the husband. She sees the media reflect an inage of herself, and takes it as truth. She would have changed into this nightmare uncanny valley image of burgoise no matter who the husband was; and, in fact, if she became landed gèntry, or was accepted by them without a rich toff husband, she would have put on the same persona anyway. She's done this many times before. It's nothing new for Geri. |

Please be kind. Whatever your opinion on Geri's impact on the Spice Girls, she is going through some very sad personal problems. Let's keep it respectful please. |

Horner is battling to rescue his career despite being urged to resign by ex-F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone after a female staffer accused him of "inappropriate behaviour".
Horner has reportedly referred to the allegations as “nuts” and said publicly: “I completely deny these claims.” The Red Bull boss, who has led the Austrian team since its formation in 2005, was quizzed by an independent barrister in a secret location on Friday. F1 insiders do not "expect him to survive in his role" at the team, as they believe the investigation could potentially drag into the new F1 season.
