Nick Jonas said in February last year that a new Jonas Brothers album will be revealed in "a couple of weeks" - that... never happened laugh.gif Presumably it's been delayed due to COVID, but I'm sure they're still together!

Yeah, I haven't checked recently, but they've had the album pre-order up on their store throughout the whole of 2020 too laugh.gif hopefully we do get another album from them and this is just Nick branching out!

He'll probably just be releasing this whilst he waits for the JB to be able to go on tour and stuff again.

Please be a Babylon Zoo cover.

base on deuxmoi he has an album out this year

Posted by: tommie 22nd February 2021, 08:42 AM

He looks like Popeye.

Posted by: dannjohn 22nd February 2021, 11:14 AM

what happened to the jb album?

Posted by: Alberto! 22nd February 2021, 03:00 PM

I've read somewhere it's on hold as Nick does his solo thing and Joe does a bit of acting (I can see their plans changing due to the pandemic and having less opportunities to be together/launch a tour). At least that's the angle UK press is going with (not me posting links to shitty tabloids smile.gif but easy to find x).

"Spaceman" is available now. The track is the lead single off his upcoming fourth album of the same name out March 12.

Posted by: Juan Carlos 25th February 2021, 05:39 PM

4 themes. 11 tracks (based on the second picture).

The Spaceman era has begun.

So excited to be starting this journey with all of you. I made this album while doing what most of us have been doing during this past year, sitting at home getting used to the new normal and hoping for better days ahead. There are four central themes we will explore on this album... Distance. Indulgence. Euphoria. Commitment.

Music has always connected the world and helped us to heal. I hope this music helps you on your journey through space and time... Thank you.

Spaceman (the song) is officially out now and the album is available for pre-order before it lands on March 12th 🚀👨‍🚀

Posted by: Lomadz 25th February 2021, 06:47 PM

So disappointed, always loved his music but how on earth did his label allow him to release this as a single.

Posted by: Tombo 26th February 2021, 01:17 PM

I’m not keen based on a first listen, perhaps it will grow

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 26th February 2021, 01:30 PM

Yeah it's a bit dull :/

Posted by: lewistgreen 26th February 2021, 02:31 PM

An album so soon!!
Spaceman as a track isn't very gripping initially, it's probably going to take a few listens

Posted by: JosephStyles 26th February 2021, 02:38 PM

Surprised at the negative reaction to the single in here, I think it's really good! Most of his solo music hasn't hugely gripped me but Spaceman has made a great first impression.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 26th February 2021, 02:50 PM

I don't quite get what he's going for with this?

Posted by: Alberto! 26th February 2021, 03:12 PM

Quite like this from the get go.

Posted by: Calum 26th February 2021, 06:40 PM

I'm really liking the song! Obviously not his best single by any means, but still decent! Very much ready for the album - we're getting treated in March ladies cheeseblock.png

Posted by: Lee_J11 26th February 2021, 08:38 PM

So disappointed. Utter nothingness and boring AF sad.gif

Posted by: Juan Carlos 28th February 2021, 05:01 PM

As previously mentioned, he did the double duty on SNL, performing "Spaceman" and "This Is Heaven". The latter will be out this Thursday, although it would have been better to pull an OA/OS release instead. drama.gif

Posted by: Calum 28th February 2021, 05:45 PM

Oh my, This is Heaven sounds amazing wub.gif

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 28th February 2021, 06:05 PM

"This is Heaven" is sounding so much better!

Posted by: dannjohn 1st March 2021, 08:38 AM

i like 'spaceman'

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 4th March 2021, 02:07 PM

"This is Heaven" is out now, so good! Love the sax solo wub.gif

Posted by: ClaudiaKinkleman 4th March 2021, 06:32 PM

I really like both of these songs. Nick is one of the only male artists out there that never lets me down with his output, I literally enjoy everything he tags his name to

Posted by: JosephStyles 4th March 2021, 06:43 PM

This Is Heaven is even BETTER, really liking on first play!

Posted by: Among Haus 5th March 2021, 08:24 AM

'This is Heaven' is INCREDIBLE cheeseblock.png instant love.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 5th March 2021, 08:54 AM

This is MUCH more like it!

Posted by: Mangø 5th March 2021, 09:54 AM

'Spaceman' is pretty boring but 'This Is Heaven' is more what we want - agreed about that sax solo wub.gif

Posted by: Rossco 5th March 2021, 07:12 PM

Yes Nick! This is Heaven is exactly what we want and need!

Posted by: Lukuzz 5th March 2021, 07:26 PM

This is Heaven is absolutely perfect. Could be my favourite ever song of his

Posted by: MrAndrewMan 5th March 2021, 07:40 PM

Love 'This is Heaven' - so much better than Spaceman! wub.gif

Posted by: Jay❄ 6th March 2021, 01:41 AM

This actually is heaven cheeseblock.png Instantly one of his career best songs heart.gif

I really like Spaceman too, so consider me perched to hear the album!

Posted by: George.keh 6th March 2021, 01:51 AM

He’s on The Graham Norton show next week!

Posted by: Liam.k. 6th March 2021, 09:59 AM

^ Just to clarify, he's not performing on the show.

Posted by: Jay❄ 6th March 2021, 04:23 PM

That's a shame! I feel like a performance of This Is Heaven could have had a really great effect for him here!

Posted by: JackTheeStallion 7th March 2021, 08:15 PM

This and 'Spaceman' are SO good!!! I'm surprised how much of a low key release it seems to be getting though.

Posted by: Calum 8th March 2021, 04:06 PM

We’re getting shirtless action in the music video cheeseblock.png

Also echoing the love for This is Heaven, incredible wub.gif

'This is Heaven' actually sounds like it should be a hit!

Posted by: dannjohn 10th March 2021, 05:15 PM

what does 'this is heaven' sound like? Is it a Years & Years song...

Posted by: Ultra's Version 13th March 2021, 08:01 PM

Spaceman did nothing for me but I'm obsessed with This Is Heaven, it's SO good <3 might actually check out the album now!

shame there seems to be like zero hype around this era sad.gif

Posted by: Calum 13th March 2021, 08:06 PM

Honestly this seems like such a Wonder era, even if there was no hype for Spaceman (the single) to begin with x

By far the best output of the artist to date, but with very little recognition to go along with it ~

Posted by: Tafty 13th March 2021, 08:45 PM

It's OK. It's quite forgettable (but I think once I become more familiar with the tracks that'll be sorted, so it's not a big deal) but 'This Is Heaven' is incredible. Agreed that it's one of his best songs to date. Since 'Jealous' for me (which is my favourite song of his...) I love 'If I Fall' too! The 80's synth sound is so subtle but absolutely wonderful in it.

Posted by: Jay❄ 14th March 2021, 10:13 AM

I love the album, agreed with Calum that it’s definitely his best body of work to date! I’m a sucker for 80s synths vibes, so a lot of these songs hit the spot for me. I enjoy the transitions between the tracks, a nice touch. My early faves are This Is Heaven (I feel like if Jonas Brothers had released this it would be a big hit?), 2Drunk, Deeper Love, If I Fall and Nervous. music.gif

Posted by: Rossco 14th March 2021, 10:21 AM

I absolutely love this album. Ironically spaceman is one of the weakest on there despite it being the lead single. So many brilliant tunes on there but none beat This is Heaven for me.

Posted by: Tafty 14th March 2021, 04:12 PM

The one thing I got from listening to this album is that it most certainly is a "passion project" for him and I completely love that he's managing to get the record that he clearly wanted out there, even when they know it's not going to do much. There's some excellent production flourishes throughout this album and the mixing is fantastic. It's an album that is gonna keep growing I think.

And now it’s even more like Wonder with a deluxe dropping like 2 days after the album came out 🤭😂

Posted by: Slick 14th March 2021, 06:06 PM

I'm not loving what I've heard from this era so far. 'Spaceman' is okay at best, although from what I've heard from the album there are some better songs on there.

On the other hand, Nick is serving looks, arms, face and all the rest and I am so glad he is back.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 14th March 2021, 06:20 PM

Deluxe out tonight:

1. Selfish (feat. Jonas Brothers)
2. Dangerous
3. Don’t Give Up On Us (Chill)
4. 2Drunk (Chill)
5. This Is Heaven (Chill)

Posted by: Tafty 15th March 2021, 07:07 PM

Both 'Selfish' and 'Dangerous' are good additions to the album! I'm confused as to why he just didn't make it a 13 track album? laugh.gif

Solid album all round. Very happy with it.

Posted by: ClaudiaKinkleman 19th March 2021, 10:37 AM

This is a really good album. I’m not sure if I’d say it’s better than NJ, but it’s catching up to LYWC quite quickly tbh. Either way, 3 solid bodies of work from Nick so far.

Posted by: Tafty 19th March 2021, 05:05 PM

Hoping it's stayed top 50 this week! It fell out of the top 50 at some point during the week, but climbed to 43-ish the last couple of days!

Posted by: Calum 19th March 2021, 05:07 PM

It’s frustrating that online orders aren’t even going to help because he only has a US store, or am I missing something? unsure.gif

Posted by: ClaudiaKinkleman 19th March 2021, 06:28 PM

Eek a #69 debut for this. It deserves so much better sad.gif

#69 is so disappointing. sad.gif His streaming sales for this are shockingly low!

Posted by: Slick 21st March 2021, 04:10 PM

This album deserves so much more. 'This Is Heaven' is one of his best singles ever (if not his best) and should be Top 40 at the very least.

Posted by: Jay❄ 13th May 2021, 12:49 AM

I hate how much his album flopped, but some of you will be very pleased to know that Nick is still serving us some cheeseblock.png-worthy photoshoots!

The underperformance of this is one of the most upsetting things to happen in terms of recent chart drama. The album is such a strong listen and it always surprises me how solid and superb the vibe is whenever I listen to it. There are so many standout moments, I am shocked it didn't go on to become a huge pop era with singles all over the radio. What happened!?

Did they even try and promote it outside of SNL? It just seems like Nick made the album but had more important things to do this year so chucked it out and moved on.

'This Is Heaven' could have done something as a lead with a normal rollout.

Jonas Brothers have announced a tour for this late summer-autumn: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/jonas-brothers-tour-dates-2021-1171450/

Posted by: dannjohn 20th May 2021, 09:30 AM

I'm really not surprised this underperformed... it's like they thought it would sell based on his Voice profile and name? Like no... he's had very limited solo success. Bizarre really.
