So Coldplay's eighth studio album 'everyday Life' is out this Friday (22nd November). It's a double album and is more experimental according to the band.

What do you think the first week sales will be? Their last album 'A Head Full Of Dreams' had a first week tally of 235,975 in December 2015, meanwhile 'Ghost Stories opened with 168,048 in May 2014.

I don't think there's been as much hype for this album. 'Orphans' hasn't exactly set the charts on fire, but they do have a big following and a good fanbase so I'm going to say 125-150k.

It's up against Robbie's Christmas album and a Rod Stewart philharmonic GH collection also out Friday.

50-75k. Won't be as big as Westlife's sales.

i think 45k sounds more reasonable, sales are down 75% from 2015 and besides the lead single was a flop, so i dont think it will sell more than 50k...

Around 80K.

I agree on the no hype compared to their other albums but I feel they should still manage #1. I think streaming will be higher for them than it will be for Robbie. I don’t think Robbies album will peak sales wise this week too with it being a Christmas album.

I'd say minimum 100K, even Liam Gallagher managed that, sure Coldplay are still the biggest band in the world right now

Cant see Robbie doing more than 40-50k for an Xmas album but you never know.

he starts his promo on Radio 2 with Zoe Ball on Friday

I think it will be

1 Coldplay
2 Robbie
3 Rod

14 Kylie? She has promo on G Norton but this 3 CD special edition may not sell that much this time around. Would love her to get higher!

I'd be pretty disappointed if they didn't manage to do 100k like the majority of people seem to be predicting, I know they don't have a really big hit single but a new Coldplay album is still a pretty big deal.

As Coldplay fan, I’m predicting 100-125k

Disappointed lead single success

But it’s first Coldplay album in 4 years. So we have chance, Everyday Life is most anticipated album of 2019

I think it'll do similarly to the album with Charlie Brown, the one that flopped and was beaten by Florence and The Machine's Ceremonials.

It debuted at #1, Ceremonials was released a week later.

Oh. Well the same as that then, slightly lower sales than it, with 1 week at the top.

And yet two people have still voted for >250k. Are they having a laugh?

I went for 75-100k.
