The rumour mill is in COMPLETE OVERDRIVE regarding Taylor Swift and her next album, I'm going to copy and paste various rumours from ATRL and see what we have!
I doubt she'll get another top 40 hit
Even if she stays away from Spotify, I'm pretty sure a Taylor lead single would shift 15k sales on iTunes to go top 40
Looking forward to the Hiddleston inspired lead single.
*Marvel and EDM fandoms quake in fear*
Really excited for her collabs!
Seen lots of rumours about this and rly hope it's true and comes this year!
Kanye West collab plz.
Time for her to convince me 1989 wasn't just a fluke.
I would be really intrigued to see Taylor do a surprise album release! I can't really see her matching the first-week sales of 1989 even with her traditional hyped-up release strategy, so a surprise release would be a little less predictable sales-wise. She has a lot to live up to in terms of the music too, of course, and I'm curious to see if all the media attention over the past two years will have an effect on her career.
E! News: "Next week we've got a Taylor Swift surprise that will blow your mind."
Omg please be a new single/album!!
1989 was so trite and atrocious except for the singles that I hope this will be a return to Red but with less ropey vocals.
Yes she is! I'm not sure it's really going to offer much more than an extra 1 or 2k in the UK as I'm not sure it's a big deal at all here even now, but in the US I imagine Apple Music is knocking on Spotify's door to be most popular.
I KNEW IT
Lol this guy who I hated in high school has his birthday next week too and Taylor Swift always releases something around that time
Drake collab. Not sure who's album it is for / what it's for but wow they are not messing.
Most people like Drake and aren't low key racist like yourself though.
All of Taylor's music is returning to Spotify and other streaming services today!!!!! So so happy cause I use predominantly Spotify and it was only Taylor that was never on there on songs I cared about!
Also rumours going around that the single will come soon (I'm guessing mid August again!) and supposedly the album is done and she played it to her record label!
Not ready for this era omg I can't wait for it to start *.*
I'm listening to all 5 albums today and I am re-ranking them! (watch me about quadruple post in this thread in a row now if no one else posts!! )
Taylor Swift Ranking:
1) Our Song
2) Should've Said No

11) The Outside
12) Tied Together With A Smile
13) A Place In This World
14) Mary's Song (Oh My My My)
15) Invisible
The top 7 are Taylor classics, love #8-#9, 10 is great, 11-14 are good but in all honesty I don't ever listen to them much as well and Invisible is quite weak

Nothing like chucking your entire back catalogue onto Spotify the day your biggest rival releases her new album.
yasss more rankings *.* 1989 rly is fab About to start listening to Red! <3
Fearless Ranking:
1) You Belong With Me
2) Love Story
3) You're Not Sorry
4) Forever & Always
5) Forever & Always (Piano Version)
6) White Horse
7) Fearless

13) Jump Then Fall
14) Change
15) The Way I Loved You
16) Fifteen
17) Untouchable
18) Come In With The Rain
19) SuperStar
I find it so hard between deciding whether I prefer this or selftitled! The highs on this are so much stronger but TS has stronger songs overall! The first 5 songs here are up there with Taylor's best and are better on anything on her first album, I pretty much really like half the other songs and the other half I find good but below average for Taylor. There is also a reason why most of those deluxe tracks were not on the main album x
Speak Now Ranking:
1) Enchanted
2) Mine (UK or US version)
3) Haunted
4) Mean
5) Better Than Revenge
6) Sparks Fly
7) The Story Of Us
8) Speak Now
9) Never Give Up
10) Superman
11) Back To December
12) Last Kiss
13) Dear John
14) Long Live
15) If This Was A Movie
16) Ours
17) Innocent
One of my favourite albums of all time! Enchanted has actually overtaken Mine for me now, it is just so stunning! Both songs are beyond incredible though. Literally my top 10 are all 10/10 tracks and above and I love 11-14, the other two bonus tracks are pretty good and Innocent is vile and remains the worst song Taylor has ever done Enchanted/Mine/Haunted/Mean/BTR/SF/TSOU are definitely up there with my favourite Taylor tracks! <3
And another double post
Listening to 1989 now and then I've listened to every Taylor album today *.*
Red Ranking:
1) All Too Well
2) I Knew You Were Trouble
3) We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
4) Red
5) State Of Grace
6) 22
7) The Moment I Knew
8) Starlight
9) Girl At Home
10) Stay Stay Stay
11) Holy Ground
12) Everything Has Changed
13) Begin Again
14) Treacherous
15) Come Back... Be Here
16) Sad Beautiful Tragic
17) The Lucky One
18) I Almost Do
19) The Last Time
This album is still beyond incredible <3 All Too Well is a masterpiece. My top 14 are all 9+/10's <3 The last few tracks are quite fillery tbh (TLT verging on bad)! Though I really wish a couple of the deluxe tracks made the main album!
1989 Ranking:
1) Shake It Off
2) Wildest Dreams
3) I Know Places
4) Out of the Woods
5) New Romantics
6) Blank Space
7) Bad Blood (Remix)
8) Style
9) Welcome to New York
10) All You Had to Do Was Stay
11) Bad Blood (Original)
12) Wonderland
13) How You Get the Girl
14) This Love
15) You Are in Love
16) Clean
17) I Wish You Would
Still a perfect pop album. SIO is still Taylor's best, #2-#5 are all in her top 10 songs ever and BS/BB/S are all 11/10! This whole album slays so badly still *.* (bar I Wish You Would). Also NR should've been on the main album!
Will she do a Katy Perry and underperform this time around?
I wouldn't be surprised if she does underperform, she has a lot of hate since the last album and the public love to hate on any female pop star at the chance.
tbh I think as long as she sticks to something that isn't completely different 1989, she'll still be massive. She may lose a few people's interest here and there for 'events' over the last couple of years but her core fanbase is still as strong as ever and I don't think the backlash will affect this era. At worst I think it'll do a Prism (but with higher album sales)
All the negativity started before "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" and that managed to become a big hit. I think she'll be fine providing she doesn't put out something as awful as "Bon Appetit"
Red Ranking:
1) State Of Grace (Her best song imo )
2) All Too Well
3) Begin Again
4) I Knew You Were Trouble
5) Red
6) The Moment I Knew
7) 22
8) Stay Stay Stay
9) Sad Beautiful Tragic
10) We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
11) Starlight
12) Girl At Home
13) The Last Time
14) Come Back... Be Here
15) The Lucky One
16) Treacherous
17) Holy Ground
18) I Almost Do
19) Everything Has Changed (Ed )
1989 Ranking:
1) Wildest Dreams
2) Bad Blood (Remix)
3) Bad Blood (Original)
4) Blank Space
5) All You Had to Do Was Stay
6) Wonderland
7) This Love
8) Out of the Woods
9) New Romantics
10) I Wish You Would

13) Welcome to New York
14) You Are in Love
15) Style
16) I Know Places
17) Clean
1. Wildest Dreams
2. Bad Blood (Remix/Orginal)
3. Shake It Off
4. Out Of The Woods
5. I Wish You Would
6. How You Get The Girl
7. Blank Space
8. Style
9. I Know Places
10. Wonderland
11. New Romantic
12. Welcome To New York
13. All You Had To Do Was Stay
14. This Love
15. You Are In Love
16. Clean
Based on first listen YES I have never heard the album till now im that awful
I think Taylor will probably follow her usual pattern and drop the single mid August!
Ffs I meant to edit
Streams of '1989' songs since being added:
829,659 - Blank Space
679,899 - Style
668,675 - Bad Blood
659,715 - Wildest Dreams
502,382 - Out Of The Woods
472,609 - Welcome To New York
439,979 - All You Had To Do Was Stay
290,804 - How You Get The Girl
286,496 - I Wish You Would
250,818 - I Know Places
247,112 - New Romantics
240,000 - Clean
236,980 - This Love
173,883 - Wonderland
153,031 - You Are In Love
Shake It Off was on 69,882,151 before being removed, now on 70,674,929 = 792,778 increase.
Why is This Love so underappreciated
Presumably because the "total number of streams of a song" has updated at some point today, so it includes streams that have occurred since what counted towards the global chart.
(You get the figures by hovering over the popularity bar within the album!)
Ooh, thank you!
My album ranks:
Taylor Swift
01 Should've Said No
02 Picture To Burn
03 Our Song
04 Teardrops On My Guitar (Original)
05 I'm Only Me When I'm With You
06 Tim McGraw
07 Teardrops On My Guitar (Pop)
08 Cold As You
09 A Place In This World
10 Stay Beautiful
11 Invisible
12 Mary's Song
13 Tied Together With A Smile
14 A Perfectly Good Heart
15 The Outside
For being her weakest single, this does well as I do love the top 8 still! Nothing on it is awful it's just everything below Stay Beautiful is pretty forgettable, just nice at best really.
Fearless
01 Love Story
02 You're Not Sorry
03 White Horse
04 Fearless
05 You Belong With Me
06 Tell Me Why
07 Breathe
08 The Way I Loved You
09 Forever & Always
10 Fifteen
11 Change
12 Hey Stephen
13 Jump Then Fall
14 Forever & Always (Piano)
15 The Other Side Of The Door
16 Come In With The Rain
17 Untouchable
18 Superstar
19 The Best Day
An album of two halves really (well, just about more than half is fab), I love down to Fifteen but never really go back to anything below that. I thin the deluxe with the added songs is a bit bloated, the UK edition that I have from release is much better for me as it has the big few highlights from the self-titled apart from Picture To Burn.
Speak Now
01 Enchanted
02 Back To December
03 Haunted
04 Mean
05 Sparks Fly
06 Speak Now
07 Dear John
08 Mine
09 Better Than Revenge
10 The Story Of Us
11 Innocent
12 If This Was A Movie
13 Ours
14 Long Live
15 Last Kiss
16 Superman
17 Never Grow Up
It feels like hersey to put The Story Of Us as 10th, such a strong album I don't really go back to the bottom 5 but I think everything down to Mine is 10/10 and then TSOU and BTR are 9s! On balance, I think it's this and Red about tied for her best album but probably this slightly ahead as there are so many flawless songs. Shame it's bogged down by possibly her worst song, Never Grow Up.
Red
01 All Too Well
02 Red
03 State Of Grace
04 We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
05 I Knew You Were Trouble.
06 Everything Has Changed
07 22
08 Starlight
09 Begin Again
10 The Moment I Knew
11 Holy Ground
12 Stay Stay Stay
13 Treacherous
14 The Lucky One
15 I Almost Do
16 The Last Time
17 Girl At Home
18 Come Back... Be Here
19 Sad Beautiful Tragic
All Too Well is f***ing STUNNING and breaks me every single time, I think it has to be my fave Taylor song just pipping Love Story to the post. I adore my top 6 on this album especially but it's really consistent down to I Almost Do, the last 4 I hardly go back to and I think SBT might be my least fave of hers next to Never Grow Up.
1989
01 Shake It Off
02 Welcome To New York
03 Blank Space
04 Out Of The Woods
05 Wildest Dreams
06 All You Had To Do Was Stay
07 New Romantics
08 Bad Blood (Original)
09 Style
10 Wonderland
11 Bad Blood (Remix)
12 I Know Places
13 I Wish You Would
14 Clean
15 How You Get The Girl
16 This Love
17 You Are In Love
This isn't far off SN or Red for me, in fact it might beat Red actually! I found this really hard to order, had my definite top 6 but then between NR and I Wish You Would they could be in basically any order.
I think my overall top 10 of hers would be something like:
01 All Too Well
02 Love Story
03 Enchanted
04 Back To December
05 Should've Said No
06 Shake It Off
07 Mean
08 Red
09 State Of Grace
10 Haunted
I like Taylor but she has come across as bitter/catty a lot lately. She'll definitely wait for all that to wind down before she releases.
I was never even remotely a 'Swiftie' until '1989' arrived so I have not heard any of her previous albums in full, will get round to them eventually! I really liked 'You Belong With Me' at the time but nothing else of hers grabbed me again until 'I Knew You Were Trouble.' arrived which I was floored by! That is still my favourite song by her Then 'Shake It Off' and 'Blank Space' happened and I didn't really massively get either of them (have done a u-turn on the latter though!! that eventually clicked with me) but then I was introduced to '1989' and was shocked by how good it was! When I worked at HMV they would constantly play it and I fell in love with some of the songs that I would keep hearing. 'Bad Blood' was initially my least favourite but grew on me massively with the single treatment as the production was far more slick and the addition of Kendrick was brilliant. 'Out Of The Woods' was my instant highlight and is still the best song from the album I think my top 5 to come out of the era are: 01) Out Of The Woods 02) All You Had To Do Was Stay 03) Bad Blood (Remix) 04) Wildest Dreams 05) Style, with 'Blank Space' and the beautiful and underrated 'This Love' just outside. Such a good album, so off the back of it I am very hyped for the new era!
Overall T-Swizzle top 15 out of those I know:
01) I Knew You Were Trouble.
02) Out Of The Woods
03) All You Had To Do Was Stay
04) Bad Blood (Remix)
05) Wildest Dreams
06) Style
07) You Belong With Me
08) This Love
09) Blank Space
10) Safe & Sound
11) I Wish You Would
12) Red
13) New Romantics
14) The Story Of Us
15) Back To December
HDD confirmed that this is coming in Q4 *.*
YASSSSSSS. At last!! Need this so badly in my life rn <3
YAAAAAAAAAASSS
Taylor's Twitter banner and profile pic has gone blank and the most recent tweet is from 2011! Something is coming!!
TAYLORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Her Twitter now has just 999 tweets, meaningful?
OMFG ITS COMING!!!!!! I'm not ready 😭
I think we will get the announcement for single next week + live stream but imagine if it comes today!
HER WEBSITE IS COMPLETELY BLACK!!!
https://taylorswift.com
Her website is blackened. The same on her tumblr and instagram as well as twitter!
SHES COMING AT LAST
She's been so slayed by Shania that she's just given up.
OMGGGGGGG
So excited <3 Hopefully it comes v v v soon
Possibly an announcement in 5 mins?? I can't omfg
I'm currently in the car being a mess listening to back to December <3
Go on YouTube and search something like "Taylor Swift" or "blank space" or "shake it off"
Surely not a coincidence?
(oh it works again now :'))
I love it when artists really go the extra mile when they make a comeback *.*
Lmao it'd be just like Taylor to release on the same day as Little Mix and Justin Bieber :') rly rly hope we get something tonight!
Surely we will get sth today?
Like at least an announcement
I'm legit breaking down rn 😂😂 I'm not ready!!
Omg I think she'll announce it for like later this week tbh
READY
Omg she's om GMA tomorrow THE SINGLE IS COMING I KNOW IT
!!!! I CANT TAKE ANYMORE 😂😂😭
I have never seen so much hype for a return ever... Even the ATRL Forums has crashed!
Excited anyway. **Speaks as calm as possible**
@TaylorSwift13 hasn't Tweeted
Taylorswift has no posts yet on instagram
This wait is ending me (and everyone I'm talking to on instagram!)
I just wanna know what's happening!
Taylor supposedly tweeted
'midnight. They don't know'
And then deleted it!
EDIT; that might be fake, who tf knows at this point
omg the meltdowns *.*
I can't believe she's actually DELETED her Facebook page, 70+ million followers GONE! She now has 180k page likes
It's like she was "oh I can't be bothered to delete all these posts individually let's just start a brand new page". So daring so iconic.
(Yes, y'all need to go and like her new page!)
Only myself and two Facebook friends now like Taylor Swift, look at us supporting those unknown indie artists *.*
Bizarre move deleting her Facebook page, can't think why they would think thats a good idea
omg what if she's retiring.
Hyped af for this, I can't see her ever topping the1989 era but anything close to that is still sensational *.* (Also reply to my PM Sam ;o)
Don't think deleting her FB page amongst everything else was the best idea either tbh hopefully the part of me that thinks it's something else is wrong but it's very strange... maybe she's changing her whole persona and everything
From the Tumblr sphere:
turned into this
dunno if this means anything but hey it's taylurking it shouldn't make sense
It's called Reputation!!
Scared its fake is this official?
I like that if it's real!
The album date is also 24th September according to them which is a Sunday. I think the artwork/title might be real but I don't believe the date or the length of the lead 😂
The lead better not be 8.47mins
ITS REAL
Posted on Taylor's insta!! November 10th!!
!!!
IM FREAKING OUT OMFG!!!! Not ready!!
The album art and cover are fab
Absolutely stunning album cover I think it could be my fave so far actually. So glad it's real and not far away!!!
LOVE that album artwork - it's nice to see her owning her reputation now with the headlines/newspaper theme on the cover and of course, the title itself Getting properly excited for this now, it's surely going to be another massive era for her *-* !!
THE ARTWORK AND WE HAVE A RELEASE DATE I'M GOING CRAZY!!!!
Out the same week as Noel Gallagher Guess she won't be going #1 in the UK with this
I think even if she doesn't debut there, she'll get a week early next year or later in Q4!
All looks AMAZING
This is going to be her Jagged Little Pill. She is unleashed, raw emotion will pour. Nobody will be unscathed.
The album cover was shot by Mert and Marcus. I love it so much <3
wrong thread messT
Omfg not this bitch dropping a bomb on my birthday ...can't wait to hear what she has on store this time...judging by the fonts she is coming for that rap album lol
the album art is v microsoft publisher newsletter 2007 with a bit of edge inverted comas
the title is a bit too fame self aware for me...the personality and reputation coming before the songsmith and artist, we shall see tho...
iTunes preorder has 15 tracks
It's upsetting that the album title is all lowercase.
Yeah I can see that happening. They don't have to be BFFs but this just needs to end. It'd be THE talking point of the awards this year. For sure.
I'd love that to happen. Obviously I'm not expecting them to become besties but it would be nice to see them hug and move on
It definitely just needs to end because I'm fed up of the fact that if either one so much as breathes, the two fanbases and media will have a field day that it was shade It's getting so tiring as a huge Taylor stan and someone who really likes Katy by and large, some of our lot act like you're the devil incarnate for liking Katy and vice versa for Katy fans when you like Taylor, and I'm fed up of the pettiness of the fanbases. But most of all I'm fed up of the media stirring things, I'm sure it'll be a "publicity stunt" in the minds of some though if they did publicly move on
Amongst all the LWYMMD hype and seeing this have 15 songs, I completely missed LWYMMD is track #6 on the album! That's the same tracklist number as Shake It Off and I've seen some theories on Instagram that this could be part of a theme like the first 5 tracks are typical Taylor before the album changes style with the new Taylor or the opposite way round with it getting darker and darker until Taylor 'dies' on track 6!
November is too far away!!
Omg I would love that, christ knows what the rest of the album after it would be but that'd be so intriguing if true
There's a thread for that very song top of this forum under the pinned bit
Media have picked up that's Taylor is releasing on the same day that Kanye's mum passed away! I know it could all be accidental, but you really can't with Taylor!
Ed sheeran has said "it's a very diverse album, very diverse, so I think if people have t all wrked out now, they're wrong"
That's such an exciting description for it, I thought the overarching sound would be dark ish pop like the two we've heard. I'm still holding out hope for something like All Too Well or Dear John
That's good, as much as I love LWYMMD and Ready For It I don't want a whole album of them I really liked the idea of each song being a different Taylor, that would be amazing but probably weird af at the same time *.*
I was actually really hoping for a whole album of the two we've heard already.
there's a rumour that a snippet is premiering during How To Get Away With Murder tonight and its a techy-sparse beat & mega vocal song, sounds like a mid-tempo ballad.
Tbh I doubt this is true as idk the source & I just don't feel like its real but hopefully it turns out to be true!
Could be true, "Look What You Made Me Do" featured in the trailer for TGIT within hours of its premiere, Taylor and Shonda must be close!
Yeah ABC used it for a general drama teaser I think or something that so I could imagine this being true!
It was fake ffs
There's some distorted snippet on one of those UPS adverts going around. I hope it's fake cos it doesn't sound that good tbh!
Yeah I also hope its fake, sounds very basic!
Yeah that sounds kinda shite but maybe they distorted it beyond all recognition and it won't be anything like that, hopefully
Is it just me that feels like all the hype for this era has gone already? Ik this is her 'dark' era or whatever but LLYMMD is falling hard in the UK and to an extent the US, in the Netherlands it's already down to #39 behind old ass songs like Shape Of You and Attention
I do think they need to move on to single 2, Look What You Made Me Do did an excellent job but it was always going to be a short-term single. I think the fact they seem to have moved away from properly pushing Ready For It? means that they are going to launch a new single 2 shortly, I think they need to do so within the next 2 weeks.
They definitely need a second single, LWYMMD was one of t hose songs that made a huge impact for a bit but burnt out once the "omg this video is amazing" hype died out. RFI just hasn't been pushed enough to remedy that because it presumably isn't actually the second single.
EDI: or not it seems it is as it's A List on Radio 1 again? wtf, messT
One month to release so excited!
Eminem is supposedly releasing the week after so doubt this'll get consecutive weeks at #1 from its debut week
Her first week sales in US for all previous albums :
1. Taylor Swift : # 19 - 39.062
2. Fearless : # 1 - 592.304
3. Speak Now : # 1 - 1.046.718
4. Red : # 1 - 1.208.290
5. 1989 : # 1 - 1.286.544
Eminem is supposedly dropping his album the same week now according to amazon. Hopefully this is false
If that idiot beats her...
I have a feeling that album could be one of those unofficial ones (a la Leona - Best Kept Secret), it’s being released by “Havasu Records”. Even if not, I think Taylor would win in both US and UK!
It's like "Recovery" vs "Speak Now" part II.
You think Taylor would beat (a proper) Eminem release in the US, even after his current revival from the Trump freestyle and pretty much everyone saying that they've missed him/comments like that's why he's the greatest rapper alive etc..?
Aren’t some people expecting multi-million sales for Taylor thanks to tour packages and stuff? I’m not totally sure how it works but in a straight fight I’d still back Taylor, her US power continues to surprise!
Secret sessions happened yesterday in London (😭 At not being invited 😂) and I am SO hyped from the early reactions!
Apparently the album is a lot darker and has cursing etc So so hyped, really got into Ready For It again this week <3
I predict 750-800k for Taylor in pure sales on the first week.
Something might be coming tonight according to rumours going around promo track possibly?!
Also there is a song on the album that supposedly made everyone cry, not ready for this 😭❤️
Omg I try not to get into rumours with Taylor but i inevitably end up excited af at any mere prospect lmaooo
Same 😂 I'm gonna sleep soon cos I have to get up early as have so much work to do so knowing my luck something will drop whilst I'm asleep 😂
People are saying it's a behind the scenes video, nice and all but GIVE US THE NEXT PROMO OR ACTUAL SINGLE WOMAN
I actually don’t think Taylor is going to do as well as everyone predicts, I mean ‘Ready For It’ hasn’t really performed well and and look what you made Me Do had to get discounted to stop the free fall in America! I mean sure she’s going to get number one worldwide, just not with the sales I originally expected!
What did Red and 1989 open with in both UK and US? I can't decide whether it'll open bigger than 1989 or just about fall short..
Oh and I didn't realise about the tour bundles and stuff. So yeah, she'd probs still beat Eminem.
She's got 600k from Target and iTunes pre-orders alone apparently So she's got this yaaass.
Red opened with 1.21 million and 1989 opened with 1.28. I think it'll probably just fall short of those but still clear of a million.
How could it get any darker lmao
Taylor shot a video in London last night *.* I wonder if it's for single 2 or 3? (Iirc the style video was shot before 1989 was released but I may be remembering that wrong!)
Also according to secret sessions, there will supposedly be nearly no interviews this era which tbh I'm not surprised at at all.
Taylor: I'm doing another Secret Sessions for the album!
Also Taylor: soz I'm not doing any promo
Also Taylor: I'm gonna be at Jingle Ball!
this woman confuses me more and more every day
I think I’m gonna cry when this record comes out. ❤️
Omg there is a rumour that there is a track on the album featuring future AND ed Sheeran.
Innocent's weave is about to be snatchedT.
I really do not want another Taylor and Ed collaboration. I enjoyed "Everything Has Changed" when they were both less 'huge'/had smaller egos but now I think it would just be too much.
Here for another EHC tbh albums are best when the tracks vary in sound (or it could easily be a Sing type song who knows)
Why do I get the feeling this is going to be her Prism era...?
Of course we must listen all songs, but based on the first two singles my main association - it's her "Erotica".
Madonna did the same many years ago, after four classic pure pop albums she recorded the experimental LP.
Hey guys! Just to let you know HMV are selling the Reputation Magazines! They're available for preorder now on their website for £22.99 each and they'll also be sold in store when the album drops.
So £45 for two magazines :/// omg I feel that's a bit too much
Rumoured song titles on the album:
Dress
Getaway Car
Call It What You Want
This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
Dancing With Our Hands Tied
End Game ft. Ed Sheeran and Future
Don't Blame Me
King Of My Heart
Delicate
I Did Something Bad
Gorgeous
... Ready For It?
Look What You Made Me Do
So It Goes
New Year's Day
Apparently the album has over 400k preorders in the US!
http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory/pre-orders-swift-album-reach-400000-units-50909216
Just coming to post this!!! Double 1989's pre orders and target's biggest ever pre order supposedly
QUEEN.
Looks like another 1 million plus opening in America for her then, But good if she beats 1989 first week numbers there. Really cant wait for this album now! 6 more days.
Sam's second week shouldn't be a threat to Taylor as he is only on 35k. His opening sales are likely to be lower than 1989 nevermind the week after
And some HMV's have supposedly been playing the album today ffs! Hoping nothing leaks messT.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6_k6XPGksCo&feature=youtu.be
Target commercial is out! So the London shoots (the kebab stuff etc) weren't for this and the song in the video is RFI so it's a shame we didn't get a new song previewed (iirc 1989 one had a preview of style)
I hope there is another Target commercial, that one is crap
Under 4 days to go!!!!! This wait is killing me I'm so ready
Unless the tracks we haven't heard are all incredible this is going to get attacked by the critics.
I can't really wrap my head around the rollout, the material, their thinking with this era.
Taylor has been confirmed for Capital's Jingle Bell Ball on December 10th. I hope she does more UK promo while she is in the country, get those christmas sales!
https://twitter.com/BBCR1/status/927880553990369280
Radio 1 playing Rep tracks 5am Friday *.*
Also there is a secret sessions video on Taylor's YouTube that I'll post later when I'm not on my phone!
Why 5am? Some impact that will have
It's just something radio 1 do on Adele's show for new music.
That's probably the WW release as well like the singles, I can imagine her doing that
Tracklist is being leaked by someone on twitter it seems (not that we don't all know it already but the ordering of the songs!)
End Game ft. Ed & Future is track 2 according to this. There's pictures on twitter (it's 100% real) but I'm not gonna post it here or we'll probs get sued by Taylor Nation x
Track 3: I Did Something Bad
And Taylor Nation have already swooped in and all the tweets are deleted!!
Different source but full tracklist?
1. Ready For It?
2. End Game (feat. Ed Sheeran & Future)
3. I Did Something Bad
4. Don't Blame Me
5. Delicate
6. Look What You Made Me Do
7. So It Goes...
8. Gorgeous
9. Getaway Car
10. King of My Heart
11. Dancing With Our Hands Tied
12. Dress
13. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
14. Call It What You Want
15. New Year's Eve
#11 to #13 in possibly wrong order
https://www.instagram.com/p/BbM9cyyFPxf/ (tracks 5 to 11 here) (and that's now down as well!!)
So we are pretty much just waiting to see which way round Dress & TIWWCHNT are for track 12/13. The one posting on twitter is now suspended!
EDIT:
^Tracklist in post above confirmed in that order, another leak. Hoping the album doesn't leak soon </3
Omg #13! This bitch 😂😂
Main producers: Producers: Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, Shellback
(I presume they'll be more producers on the album as Ali Payami co-produced RFI with Max but isn't named)
Urgh at Track 2. There’s my least favourite song on the album confirmed.
Hoping Getaway Car can join Taylor's other iconic track 9's in being in the top 3 songs on the album! <3 (Should've Said No, You're Not Sorry, Enchanted & Wildest Dreams were all track 9's *.*)
I don't understand why her/her team are so bothered about a tracklist 'leaking' early. Like, the whole thing is out in three days, she should have announced it officially two weeks ago rather than giving us half-arsed promo singles/videos.
Tracklist confirmed by Taylor! Can't post pic as on phone and it's on instagram!
I love the back cover of the album *.*
It's not going to be on Spotify then for first week.. Hmm maybe it's going to soften the 2nd week decline.
Billboard are predicting $1.4m opening in America *.* that would be incredible if that happened! <3
Her albums sales have been consistently under-estimated by Billboard before release, why do I get the impression they're over-estimating this time
Given that there are fewer and fewer places to buy albums, that sounds very high. I know it has huge preorder numbers from Target but it must still move 500k units elsewhere too
I’m pretty sure she has a lot of Starbucks lovers
Well... I can see 1.1M in the US and 60K in the UK.
Under 24 hours to go and still no leak!
Why does iTunes now say “Expected November 12th”
Sooo this isn't out in Australia on Friday morning? Confused
It’ll be out in shops but the iTunes release will be a worldwide release at midnight ET, so 5/6am in Europe and afternoon in Aus/NZ.
Explains partly why estimates have been so high.
Leaked!
Don't blame me is a MASTERPIECE I'M SHAKING
End game is slaying me so badly wtf!!!! I love Ed's part and even Future doesn't ruin it
Getaway Car is a mini OOTW omg <3
This is already surpassing my expectations!
I DID SOMETHIN BAD LORDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD OMG
I Did Something Bad and This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things are SO tone deaf and problematic
Jesus
New Years Day is beautiful but a lot more like begin again than the all too well/enchanted masterpiece it was being built up to be </3
King of my heart is fab, TIWWCHNT is a bop, dress is good but definitely the weakest so far
They're burning all the witches even if you aren't one
They got their pitchforks and proof, their receipts and reasons
They're burning all the witches, so light me up
Go ahead and light me up
Light me up
They say I did something bad, then why does it feel so good?
Most fun I’ve ever had, and I’d do it over and over and over again if I could
Not Taylor making an accidental white supremacist anthem on an album where she's using hip-hop production and attempting to rap~
I look forward to the reviews tomorrow.
First listen ranking:
12/10
1. Look What You Made me Do
2. Don't Blame Me - a masterpiece
3. End Game - so impressed, on trend and a modern smash
11/10
4. Getaway Car - mini OOTW, this goes off
5. Call It What You Want
6. Ready For It
7. I Did Something Bad - love the verses and chorus + prediction is killer
10/10
8. Dancing With Our Hands Tied - the verses are 13/10 and it goes off
9. King Of My Heart - just a fab pop song! The verses and chorus are highlights of the album but I need to get used to the pre-chorus and the chorus breakdown!
10. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things - love this, a bop
9/10
11. New Years Day - beautiful but missing that extra spark to make this a highlight
12. Delicate - fab song but doesn't stand out compared to the rest of the album, love the reputation lyric *.*
13. Gorgeous - lyrics that could cut glass
7.5/10
14. So It Goes - good but filler
6.5/10
15. Dress - average filler
I'm so impressed ❤️❤️
Which songs sounds like old Taylor and far enough from the current music trends ?
End Game is so good!
Doing my listening party now!
Can someone inbox me a link please? I would appreciate it
Delicate
Getaway Car
King of My Heart
Dancing With Our Hands Tied
Call It What You Want
New Year's Day
This sound is the kind of 1989 follow-up I would have been happy with. The production on this album is good but too homogeneous. End Game is going to be a big hit though, although it's v meh
You can tell Jack really produces what his artists want rather than him imposing his ideas on them.
Getaway Car is v Taylor on autopilot/Carly/Style/Supercut but I'm a fan
I'm starting to think I already prefer Don't Blame Me to LWYMMD I am utterly obsessed with it. <3
I'm intrigued to see what the growers will be! I Know Places was my least fave on 1989 during its release week but is now comfortably in my top 5 on the album!!
at first listen it's a bit disappointing.. only 2-3 songs made me want to listen to them again..
....
Really loving this album, I'll do ratings after I have give it a few listens.
I feel nothing listening to this album. It's all very much just there but nothing stands out in a good or bad way.
About to give this my first listen.
Kind of tentative as I haven't been impressed with the material so far this era and I am finding her more and more insufferable. '1989' was a fantastic pop album though and I am willing myself to like this.
Let's see how this goes.
A strong album! End Game will of course be a single, I can see I Did Something Bad being popular and having a great video. I really loved Delicate at first listen. Dancing With Our Hands Tied is SUCH a fantastic surprise! Could imagine a DJ Fresh remix. Dress is the most meh track for me, plus the lyrics are so used. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice things is also a surprise, definitely takes off from where Look What You Made Me Do left off. The singles of course are strong, I'd say I would like an era like this:
Single 3: End Game
Single 4: I Did Something Bad
Single 5: Delicate
Single 6: Dancing With Our Hands Tied
And this is just after 2 listens.
First listen rate:
01.5 ...Ready For It? (still think the verses are one of the most tragic things I have heard this year)
05.0 End Game (Future is actually the highlight on this - these kind of lyrics are exactly what I was hoping the album wouldn't be full of)
00.0 I Did Something Bad (what a f***ing mess, the production is awful and the lyrics again are tragic and show she just doesn't get it)
06.0 Don't Blame Me
08.0 Delicate (the first song to be at all likable, the chorus really is incredibly melodic and actually rather lovely)
03.0 Look At What You Made Me Do (still absolute shite)
05.0 So It Goes...
08.0 Gorgeous (I was hoping for more songs similar to this on here but the standard has been much worse so far)
07.0 Getaway Car
06.0 King Of My Heart (why is the production on this album so jarring and why does she insist on pretend rapping over potentially good songs - so much wasted potential)
06.0 Dancing With Our Hands Tied (again I was enjoying until that trashy production on the chorus, ffs)
05.0 Dress
-01.0 This Why We Can't Have Nice Things (possibly one of the worst songs of the year? on what planet was she on when she thought this was good)
06.5 Call It What You Want (trying to be this album's 'Wildest Moments' but it is lacking a chorus and ends up feeling pleasant but flat)
04.0 New Year's Day
NOPE. '1989' must have been a fluke because this is even worse than I was expecting. I was expecting it to be bad lyrically but was at least expecting some strong choruses and undeniably high production value and I got neither.
I'll keep 'Gorgeous', 'Delicate', 'Getaway Car' and at a push 'Call It What You Want' but even that is kinda disposable. What a massive comedown from '1989' where I genuinely enjoyed every song.
This is EVEN better than 1989 was on first listen! I remember 1989 took two or three listens for its amazingness to properly sink in whereas this one is an instant wow. Initial highlights from the album tracks are probably End Game, Don't Blame Me, Getaway Car and This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things. I think So It Goes..., King of My Heart and Dress are probably the only "filler"-type songs and they are still very very good fillers. 1989 had just as many "fillers" (the last three tracks) and that's a shorter album.
Once again Taylor has SMASHED it out of the park and this is the best album of the year for me. Will it become my favourite Taylor album, time will tell! It's currently a close fight between Speak Now and 1989 for that depending whether I'm on a country day or a pop day, maybe reputation will take over 1989?
how has she managed to make this album sound so contrived and void of any creativity i'll never know, surely has to be a contender for one of the worst of the year? 1989 was great but this is a massive step down.
It’s an album of two halves for me. Half is lovely, romantic, 80s synthy production. And half is bitter punches in the face with really clunky lyrics that show that Kim and Kanye got under her skin way too much and clouded her songwriting abilities.
First proper full listen rate (heard some of them more than once from the earlier leaks when just a couple of songs leaked):
10 ...Ready For It? (really hits as an opener, it hypes you up so much to hear the rest! Let the games begin indeed x)
10 End Game (ok this is HUGE, has to be the next single, if this isn't a multi week number 1 I'll be shocked! Ed sounds so much better on a song like this than the dreary Westlife cast off he's currently peddling)
11 I Did Something Bad (HUGE, LORD JESUS CHRIST the production!!!)
09.5 Don't Blame Me (this GOES OFF)
07.5 Delicate (this feels a bit off in the tracklist as it's more subdued coming after two bangers, but it's subtly lovely and I can see this being the grower that really creeps up on you on further listens as you pick out different bits)
10 Look What You Made Me Do (still as much a tune as first listen *.*)
08 So It Goes (I think some of the other songs on the album do this vibe better but I love the chorus!)
09.5 Gorgeous (the lyrics still make this for me, totally nails that unrequited crush feeling and the production is lovely)
09.5 Getaway Car (v 80s, not QUITE a highlight for me but this is deffo gonna be a fan fave)
09 King Of My Heart (again love the production and chorus *.*)
07.5 Dancing With Our Hands Tied (boppy enough but others on the album do this better)
07 Dress (nice vibe but I can't imagine me going back to it much outside of just listening to the whole album
09 This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things (gives me slight Royals teas in places, I love the melody but it's deffo gonna be one the "haters" can go for lyrically lmao)
08.5 Call It What You Want (definitely growing on me a lot)
07 New Years Eve (lovely at its core but it sounds like it should be a bonus track on Red or sth, it feels a bit off coming after the bangers and slickness on offer prior to it, I think it will grow as a standalone song as I go back to it)
Not loony at all x I get th comments about the production being quite homogeneous, but that works as a bod of work for me.
10.0 ...Ready For It?
08.5 End Game > Ed sounds so good on this! Would love to hear him on a grander pop track like this in the future. Future also sounds great. <
09.0 I Did Something Bad
08.0 Don't Blame Me
09.0 Delicate > The production elevates this massively for me! So lush. It reminds me a tiny bit of 'Just Luv Me' by Britney (except not as raw)! <
07.0 Look At What You Made Me Do
06.0 So It Goes...
07.5 Gorgeous
11.0 Getaway Car > So euphoric. Instant fave! Hardly surprising with it essentially being OOTW pt 2 <
08.0 King Of My Heart
07.5 Dancing With Our Hands Tied
07.0 Dress
08.0 This Why We Can't Have Nice Things > I really like this until it gets to that stupid middle 8 part where she's like "see, I can't even sing that with a straight face. Lolololol" it's really immature and everything that I hate about her... It's a bop though <
08.0 Call It What You Want
07.0 New Year's Day > Sweet, but it is definitely 'Red' album track. <
Ryan Adams released his version of '1989' and this album is pretty much what you would get if Lorde did the same thing
Overall, it's good, even if it's a bit too much like Lorde for my full enjoyment. Some of the lyrics are a bit grating/immature, but most of the time I can overlook them. Doesn't compare to 1989 for me but I don't think I ever expected it to, so I didn't have too high expectations.
'Getaway Car' is definitely my fave
Re-reading the 1989 thread. Found this interesting tidbit..
Fastest album to ever reach #1 on US iTunes supposedly!
Also every track seems to be album only atm?
Also has anyone else brought it from iTunes yet? Ive bought all songs released so far but the album is showing at full cost, is it just me?
“I Did Something Bad”
...no kidding.
Annoyed this will not be on apple music for a week. effort to listen to it elsewhere? Puhlease
Wow, this has sold 800k in its first HOUR on US iTunes alone!
lmaoooo the album only tactic did work in the end
She’s gonna debut with 2m+ in the us
82 on metacritic which I'm impressed af with, hope that holds as I was expecting about 20 lower!
Also are those US iTunes sales confirmed anywhere?!
Having my first official listen not from leaks rn *.*
Interestingly divisive reactions must say
aaaaaaand Don’t Blame Me is pretty much Flume - Never Be Like You mixed with Imagine Dragons
LWYMMD, Getaway Car and the final 4 tracks are Antonoff produced, everything else is Martin/Shellback with the occasional extra producer on 3 of the Martin/Shellback tracks!
Number 1 on UK iTunes as well now *.*
Listening now! On End Game atm, not a huge fan but its okay
I'm bopping my ass off to I Did Something Bad
Delicate
Undecided on getting the album what does everyone recommend?
Of her previous releases I’d classify Shake It Off & Style as annoying and unlistenable but really enjoyed Blank Space, Wildest Dreams, Out of the Woods & Bad Blood.
For what urs worth I’m not over keen on LWYMMD or Read For It.
Thanks
i need a rapless (and if it's possible Ed-less) version of End Game...
I'm loving this - even when her songwriting is a little tired it's always welcome in my eyes because she's so relatable. Dress is my immediate favourite.
There are such highs and lows on this album.
I love songs like Dress and Delicate. And then the pettiness of This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things is some of her worst ever songwriting.
I'm bit sad that this is not on Spotify... Wanted to write a blog post about the album and her image but probably will either get it illegally from somewhere or wait for a week until it's available for streaming. It is 2017 after all, these limitations are pointless.
Getting some brilliant reviews by the papers etc.
There two of my favs Joe along with Don't Blame Me, I have a few favs thought overall I love the album.
Some HMV’s haven’t received their shipments. I couldn’t even buy it today
Try Asda john, That's where I got mine.
I am so shocked at the positive critic reviews so far. Honestly was sure this was going to get a panning.
The Guardian even putting "superb songcraft" in the title of their review?? Alternative facts galore.
My local hmv has the album but not the magazines, I'll probs get a magazine off Amazon. I got my copy anyway, I'm lucky that uni is right by it so I just went after a lecture!
I found an Amazon card I hadn't used so I've preordered volume 1 of the magazine ❤️❤️
I also got my physical and iTunes copy today *.*
Omfg you get a double sided poster!!!! with the physical education how did I not know this! 😂
I heard Radio 1's listening party thing earlier and I loved Getaway Car, Delicate, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things (lyrics aside I like the song as a whole) and New Year's Eve.
I think End Game could grow and that King Of My Heart could too.
I'm so obsessed with this <3
I heard she paid for the positive reviews :/
I also heard that HMV are limited as to where they sell can sell Reputation as some shops have been banned as they played the album in their stores early.... why should she ban some HMV’s from selling it? It will only lower her opening sales.
Yikes, she's starting things all over the place
look what you made hmv do
Just been on Twitter, many HMV’s aren’t stocking it/haven’t received any Reputation
Regardless if these rumours are true or false it’s ridiculous. There is a demand for people to hear her music and invest in HER career so let them hear it. If they aren’t false people need to stop making fake news, it’s boring and detracts from what the focus should be - the music and the hype for fans on release day.
People need to stop writing this shite, it's so tiring when most of it is obv false, it's like an easy article for journalists to jump on a non-story like that, it's lazy journalism. I very much doubt that the stores will be withheld copies, she/her team are hardly going to harm their sales like that when they've done so ell to build up an event of a release and are maximizing "proper" sales by keeping it off streaming, having songs album only etc. Also did they not receive their stock earlier anyway lmao for them to have played it in the first place...
UK people who cannot be bothered downloading, the full songs played on Radio 1 this morning can be heard on the iPlayer http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05mmsbw ("End Game", "Delicate", "Getaway Car", "King of My Heart", "This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" and "New Year's Day" alongside the four pre-album singles).
I've just heard the first two so far and they are SO boring. I thought "Call it What You Want" was the dullest thing that she's done but she really has trumped that with "Delicate". I would say I'm disappointed after the excellence that is '1989' but after 3/4 of what she put out before 'reputation.' was trash, I'm really not surprised.
Awww. I love 'Delicate'! It's like the baby cousin to 'Just Luv Me' by Britney (except not as personal, as raw or as good) I think!
But 'Getaway Car' is my 2nd fave thing she's done (behind 'Out Of the Woods'). Just such a perfectly crafted pop song!
The chorus of 'Getaway Car' reminds me so much of 'Masterpiece' by Jessie J
I'm having a moment to Getaway Car rn <3
Also dress has really grown on me!!
Managed to grab a copy of the magazine this morning. They only had 1 copy each!
Around 46k which is just under 1989's first day sales! So so impressed and I'm rly happy Taylor is getting another #1 UK album <3
Great that shes on 46k already, Will be good see how her sales hold up. I'll guessing she will end up on around 80k-ish by the end of the week. Probably would of matched 1989 if she was on streaming.
Also Look is up to 38 on iTunes and CIWYW is down to 52, with the former also being higher on spotify as well I presume LWYMMD will re-enter the top 100 and CIWYW will become ineligible!
End Game sounds like it could have been written for Kesha. I think I Did Something Bad is my highlight other than the singles. I am not massive on the production. It is giving me Witness teas... I am actually kind of loving New Years Day too
I got numbers 9 and 10!
End Game is definitely a smash. I’m really impressed with this album, there are some very strong melodies, I was worried as I haven’t really been obsessed with any of the four songs we heard pre-release.
My other early favourite is Dancing With Our Hands Tied. Adore the production and the vibe reminded me of Carly Rae. Also seems pretty catchy so I’m surprised all of the reviews so far in here are passing it off as filler, it’s an easy 9.5/10 for me!
Queen of sales.
'HDD: rep up to 1.4-1.5m SPS; 1.37-1.47m sales'
When is this going on Spotify?
Given this a fair few listens now so I feel like it has all settled in. It's nowhere near as good as 1989 really but it has its big highs still despite having way more filler on the whole. "Ready For It" to "Look What You Made Me Do" (and Gorgeous too) on the tracklist are all fantastic songs but pretty much the whole of the second half just feels forgettable They're still decent pop songs and there are no actual bad songs on the album at all so I can't complain too much but it just feels a little disappointing after how much I enjoyed the singles that came before the album release.
"I Did Something Bad" is THAT song though, next single pleeeeaaase!!
Hard to do a proper rate so soon, but my highlights right now are End Game, I Did Something Bad and Getaway Car plus a few others! My album rank:
1. Speak Now (doubt she'll ever top this)
2. 1989
3. Red
4. reputation (not far behind Red)
(big gap)
5. Fearless
6. Taylor Swift
f*** it.
'This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things' is f***ing incredible.
(Ignoring that unnecesary horrendous laugh "SEE I CAN'T EVEN SING IT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE" or whatever)
omg I forgot to mention This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, I absolutely LOVE it!!!
Sam Smith isn't too happy about losing the #1 to Taylor
I Hate ha even more now 😂😂 like he's even wrote a beyegr song than all too well/enchanted 😂😂
Sold 700k first day in the US apparently.
Ofc that whiny creature gives me more reasons to hate him
omg he’s searched his name for all those tweets as well...
I really dislike Sam Smith but I still agree with that Tweet :') The Thrill Of It All >>> reputation. and that's saying something
For reference these were 1989's midweek sales
Wednesday: 58.8k (2 days of release, correlates with Sunday/sales we get today!)
Thursday: 70.3k
Friday: 77.2k
Final: 90.somethingk

6.5 from Pitchfork. It's a good review and praises the album a lot, whilst not ignoring some the problems it has lyrically etc. I was worried Pitchfork would give it a really low score to make a point (Like they did with Ed Sheeran) or give it a score higher than it deserves like a few other critics have done, but I think 6 - 7 out of ten is about right.
That's a good score for a mainstream pop album, Joanne got 6.9 and that too seemed "more favourable" than the rate suggested
05 ...Ready For It?
05 End Game
02 I Did Something Bad
06 Don’t Blame Me

I quite like this as a little post-1989 EP
01 Delicate
02 Getaway Car
03 King Of My Heart
04 Dancing With Our Hands Tied
05 Dress
06 Call It What You Want
07 New Year’s Day
An unpopular opinion but does anyone else really dislike the Don't Blame Me chorus? I can see the appeal but it's too similar to Imagine Dragons and just puts me off. I really like the production of the verses.
11 ...Ready For It? - Amazing, unique and fantastic production.
08 End Game - A bit ‘i hope this is a streaming hit’ but good nonetheless the ‘big reputation’ parts are huge.
06 I Did Something Bad - A somewhat jarring bop
09 Don’t Blame Me - Huge Chorus.
07 Delicate - Loved this at first but I prefer others now, it’s gotten a bit boring.
06 Look What You Made Me Do - It isn’t much more than a way to grab headlines. A petty bop that I’ll enjoy on a night out.
05 So It Goes... - Meh
03 Gorgeous - Meh
09 Getaway Car - That middle 8!
05 King Of My Heart
07 Dancing With Our Hands Tied
10 Dress - This one doesn’t seem to get enough praise. I love.
01 This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things - ‘Sorry but I’m not your friend anymore’ an annoying and petty album.
10 Call It What You Want
04 New Year’s Day - this feels pointless, they should have ended this on the last song.
08.5 ...Ready For It?
09.5 End Game
09.0 I Did Something Bad
09.0 Don’t Blame Me
07.0 Delicate
10.0 Look What You Made Me Do
06.0 So It Goes...
07.0 Gorgeous
10.0 Getaway Car
08.0 King Of My Heart
07.5 Dancing With Our Hands Tied
07.5 Dress
11.0 This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things - can't get enough, keep returning to it
10.0 Call It What You Want
08.5 New Year’s Day
Actually loving this album more with each play tbh Think I'd only rank it behind Speak Now and 1989 now, it's much more consistent and cohesive than Red.
3 listens and I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!
Wow never thought that Gorgeous and CIWYW would fit into the album context so perfectly. SHOOK!
Also wrote a blog post about her reputation and stuff (in Finnish) http://whispila.blogspot.fi/2017/11/onko-taylor-swiftin-maine-mennyt.html
Why do I feel like Taylor is having a bit of an identity crisis here? Part of the album is 1989 with fewer calories and another part of the album is her screaming “die bitch die” to everyone who “wronged” her.
I may just be a little obsessed with this
Total plays after four days: 357

14) So It Goes... - 15
Sold 1.05 million in the US in its first four days, already the biggest selling album of 2017 over there! Still set to surpass 1989's opening week!
Wow, she really is a force to be reckoned with! Only Adele has selling power greater than her at the moment.
OMGGG this album is insane!!
The singles and promo singles really do no justice at all.
End Game, Delicate, Getaway Car, King of my heart and I did something bad are all JAMS. New Years Day is just lovely.
Don’t Blame Me could possibly be my fave thing she’s ever done as well. Amazing best female album of 2017.
Fab sales, QUEEN *.*
Here's a performance of 'New Years Day' on Jimmy Fallon.
Edit: oops! Didnt see it was already posted in another thread sorryyyyy
Rumoured platinum edition coming on 10th January with six new songs + Gorgeous acoustic!!
Would love for this to be true <3
So It Goes... is so underrated. That and Delicate have been really growing for me <3
Ready For It isn’t even done in the US yet
Ready For It has really hit me even more this week listening to the album loads, song of the year contender
"New Year's Day" has been serviced to US country radio today.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At least we know Taylor can still get on country radio
So its likely this won't be on streaming services tomorrow
You can now buy the individual tracks on iTunes Australia.
End game & Getaway Car I shall download later today.
Yep it's not on spotify :/
The tracks are available individually in the UK as well now though I think!
I
JUST
WANT
END
GAME
Officially #1 in the UK
What do you guys think the sales number will be about?
84k, 50/50 split on physical/downloads!
So so happy with that, wasn't expecting Reputation to get as close to 1989 as it did *.*
Eminem has delayed his album! Taylor coming for those multiple weeks at #1 in America *.*
She needs to put at least End Game available for streaming PRONTO
Really liking this album. First listen I found it good, second I liked it a lot more and third listen.. i'm totally sold. A few dodgy/choice lyrics aside, it's a brilliant listen.
Dress (), Delicate, Ready For It and Endgame are my favourites <3
When will we know where it charted and what it sold in the USA?
For her it’s album six and it’s still happening which is the atonishing thing more than anything really.
Picture disc vinyl released on 15th December!
When the f*** is this going on Apple Music. Still haven't heard it. Only buy albums buy Britney & Lana, tbh.
Has there been/will there be a rate for this anytime soon?
On spotify tomorrow!!!!!! AT LAST.
YES!!
Finally!!
I was kind of expecting her to put on Spotify on December 13th, glad I was wrong, even December 1st is later than it should have been!
Wait is this premium only?
Cause if it is then it looks like Spotify are getting some of my coins
JESUS CHRIST FINALLY.
Did Team Swift see the drop in sales and decided to do this forthwith?
FINALLY.
Kind of past caring though by now 🤷🏼♂️ What a mess of an era this has been so far.
Ok so 'Delicate' is the best thing she’s done so far. Love it.
I finally heard the album in full and I love it the only weakling for me is So It Goes but omg could be her second best for me
I still don’t understand the purpose of releasing three singles at once?
Gorgeous - UK
New Year’s Day - Country Radio
End Game - everywhere else
'Delicate' is the centrepiece of the album for me. It's her lamenting her awful reputation but in a coy, likeable way. "My reputation's never been worse so.." makes my heart sort of bleed for her and given her catty attitude recently that's saying something. I absolutely adore her vocals on it, so silky smooth. The "isn't it" refrain is genius.. each listen leaves you questioning so much. A true gem in the middle of an already gem-filled album. A similar affect to 'Wildest Dreams' from 1989 so hopefully single treatment in the future. Makes me feel SO EMOTIONAL and whimsical.
The more I listen to the album, the more I disagree with reviews saying it's her least cohesive album. I am pretty much in love with it all and the story it tells. Yes I don't agree with a lot of what has happened in the creation of the project but I love her final word on the matter and its execution.
I really can't get Delicate, it's probably the worst for me It's just a bit dull.
Delicate is the best on the album. I hope its a single in the future so the public are given a chance to hear it
I love Delicate! It's in her top 5 definitely.

I've sat with this album for while now. And it really is a hot mess of an album with some really dodgy themes (which mostly come to light in 'Nice Things'). Some of the dubstepish production feels a little bit below her and the sound is sonically all over the place. BUT, the highlights on the album; Dress, Ready For It, Delicate, Getaway Car are true discography highlights.
End game has been added to today's top hits on spotify yasss at last *.* hot hits next hopefully!
Yeah, I heard 'Gorgeous' on the radio a few days ago amongst all the Christmas songs. Wonder why she didn't go with 'End Game'.
Probs coz Ed's label are after the xmas number 1 with 'Perfect' and I can see Taylor and Ed performing it at BRIT awards, so might wanna hold off pushing it until closer to then, maybe?
from the listen I gave of the album I found it quite a strong album. certainly feeling like I won't regret it if I got for Christmas now as I did have some doubts based off the singles (excluding RFI). 'getaway car' is my favourite along with RFI. It gives me those FEELS. I'd be surprised if it isn't a single tbh which I'm not sure will be the case and will be up there with best album tracks that were never made singles
'New years day' is also sweet.
End Game has been moved up to the first few songs on today's top hits and Delictae has also been added pretty high up on the same playlist *.*
Omg what!! Delicate!!
Ffs not Delicate
£6.99 for the album in HMV.
Album as returned to #1 on billboard in US 107.000 sales.
Delicate needs to be a single ❤️💞
Now Reputation has been out for a while, how does it compare to Taylor’s other albums for everyone else here?
Rep. is personally my favourite as I prefer the darker tones she explores, whilst she is still sticking to her poppy roots at times. I like the singles from Red & 1989 but didn’t go back to the albums too much (or at all ) but Reputation tracks I still listen to quite a lot
For me I'd say its 2nd or 3rd (Speak Now 1st & I'm still not sure if I prefer this or 1989!)
I think my album ranking is this:
Go back to daily:
1) Look What You Made Me Do
2) Don't Blame Me
Go back to very often: (These could all be in a different order on another day)
3. Getaway Car
4. ...Ready For It?
5. End Game
6. Call It What You Want
7. I Did Something Bad
Also go back to regularly:
8. Delicate
9. Gorgeous
10. New Years Eve
Still great but I don't play them that much unless I listen to the album in full:
11. King Of My Heart
12. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
13. Dancing With Our Hands Tied
14. Dress
15. So It Goes...
I'd rank it third myself, behind Speak Now and 1989 in that order!
1. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
2. Look What You Made Me Do
3. Call It What You Want
4. Getaway Car
5. End Game
6. Don't Blame Me
7. I Did Something Bad
8. ...Ready For It?
9. New Year's Eve
10. Delicate
11. Gorgeous
12. King of My Heart
13. Dancing With Our Hands Tied
14. Dress
15. So It Goes...
The top 8 are particularly great and I enjoy the next couple too. Don't return to the bottom 5 so much but they're not bad by any means.
This campaign has been a huge gigantic mess, this really was her Prism!
Radio don't seem to be pushing her as much but the fact that 'End Game' isn't a huge top 10 hit has really shocked me and it's even more shocking how much 'Gorgeous' and 'End Game' have bombed worldwide although the release strategy behind them is the main reason. 'Ready For It!' suffered dramatically too, it really could have been a bigger hit worldwide had it not been pushed aside then pushed again.
I don't think anything from 'Reputation' will do particularly well worldwide and it surprises me that the campaign could be over this quick!
If you have a HMV Pure Card, you can get the album on Vinyl for just £12.99! (£33.99 if you don't have one!)
Is that only in store, Jonjo? Or does this apply to online as well?
I think the Pure offers are in store only!
It went in to the offer today so it'll be on for at least a week!
Ooh ok! Thanks for mentioning this *.* I’ll have a look when I’m next out!
I snatched that deal! The picture discs are cute but I don't know why they were selling it for so expensive anyway? £12.99 is what it's worth for the 5/6 good songs on it anyway.
The album has crossed 1 billion plays on spotify <3
I really love the music that Taylor Swift produces because she embodies what a girl wants to say to every boy but now evolving in the more mature tone, Taylor outdone herself to be an extreme writer, singer and composer not only for that but a phenomenal queen of music, I'm rooting for more Taylor Swift music, I hope she gets awards this year and next year for this album. Goodluck
Certified platinum *.*
Not bad for a flop era with how album sales are atm
Update time from February *.*

This was released 2 years ago today!
I might listen in full later. I still stan I Did Something Bad, Don’t Blame Me and Delicate. The holy trinity!
Up to #38 on UK iTunes documentary effect.
I enjoyed this album for a very long time. IMO there were better album tracks on it than on Lover.
Just gave the album a listen for the first time all in one go! I have heard a few of the album tracks here and there but not enough to form much opinion of them, so here's some thoughts...
Look What You Made Me Do is still THAT song. *.* still one of the ultimate comeback songs in terms of initial impact and a song stands up and makes you pay attention. Obvs not a lasting hit due to its nature but couldn't have picked a better album lead.
End Game is probably my least favourite on the album :/ if you're going to have features on the track on an album that has no other features, they need to be worth it. However Ed and Future's verses feel a bit phoned in and don't add anything more to the track. I also feel that it's a pop song with pop production trying to be a rap crossover that makes it quite cringey and not very genuine? Like it needed someone other than Max Martin to produce as it feels lacklustre compared to its contemporaries.
Some album track highlights for me include: I Did Something Bad, New Year's Day, Getaway Car and Dancing With Our Hands Tied. My faves are probably the middle two of those.
Delicate is quite underrated and shame it didn't do better in the UK charts, quite a mature mid-tempo pop song and it stands out from the rest, reminded me of a couple moments from Lover. Reckon it would've been top 20 at least if it were single #2 or #3. Gorgeous wasn't as good as I remember it being and ...Ready For It felt a little awkward in places but there's a good song in there somewhere. I think having a underbaked chorus and then 'are you ready for it... boom boom boom' worked against each other rather than to elevate the song?
I think 'Dress' is the most underrated on the album. What a beaut.
1. Don't Blame Me
2. I Did Something Bad
3. Delicate
4-15. The Rest
1. Call It What You Want
2. Delicate
3. Look What You Made Me Do
4. Gorgeous
5. Ready For It
6. King of my Heart
7. Getaway Car
8. End Game
9. I Did Something Bad
10. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
11. Dancing with our Hands Tied
12. Dress
13. So It Goes
14. Don't Blame Me
15. New Year's Day
This was so hard, I adore literally every song from 12 up :') Even the next two are 8/10's, it's just NYD which is 50 shades of yawn that I'm not keen on.
omg me missing people posting rankings and thoughts on this album Yasss Andrew stan and I'm glad you checked out the album Klum and loved hearing your thoughts *.*
I think I'm at the place where I'd say Speak Now is the best Taylor album but Reputation is my favourite <3 I just love this album so much and I still go back to and listen to it in full SO regularly, more regularly in full than any other Taylor album. The tracklist flows so well and there's so many moments on this album <3 the production is fab and has aged great and there's something so special about this album
my ranking nowadays:
1. Look What You Made Me Do
2. Delicate
3. Don't Blame Me
4. Call It What You Want
5. Getaway Car
6. ...Ready For It?
7. I Did Something Bad
8. King Of My Heart
9. End Game
10. Dancing With Our Hands Tied
11. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
12. New Year's Day
13. Gorgeous
14. So It Goes
15. Dress
The top 3 are the holy trinity and untouchable, all 11/10's in my top 10 Taylor songs of all time. 4 to 8 are all pretty close to each other and are all easy 10/10's that I listen to regularly <3 EG and DWOHT not too far behind them at all, the latter has aged so well. On a great day, TIWWCHNT and NYD are 10/10's as well. Gorgeous hasn't aged great but is still an underrated fun bop (9/10) and So It Goes is FINALLY growing on me a lot the past couple of months!!!! I think it's the first time it's not been last in my rankings aha. Dress remains I Don't Wanna Live Forever's inferior sister.
I cba to look further back in the thread the forum as it's too hard but these are how the songs have ranked in my last 4 rankings of Reputation on the forum I can find! (Feb 2018, June 2018, Feb 2019 & April 2020)
Look What You Made Me Do 01-01-01-01
Don't Blame Me 02-03-03-03
Getaway Car 03-07-04-05
...Ready For It? 04-04-05-06
End Game 05-06-08-09
Call It What You Want 06-05-06-04
I Did Something Bad 07-08-09-07
Delicate 08-02-02-02
Gorgeous 09-10-11-13
New Year's Day 10-13-12-12
King Of My Heart 11-09-07-08
This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things 12-11-10-11
Dancing With Our Hands Tied 13-12-13-10
Dress 14-14-14-15
So It Goes... 15-15-15-14
Looking at this, the top 3 has been set in stone since Delicate's video release really clicked the song for me and most of 4 to 9 are pretty much the same in a different order each time round! King Of My Heart & DWOHT have gone up the most whilst End Game and Gorgeous have aged the poorest as both have fallen. few places since my initial reactions. 13 of the 15 tracks being in my top 10 at one point!!!! what an album <3
Inspired by my post in the AF Idol thread
1. Delicate
2. Look What You Made Me Do
3. Don't Blame Me
4. ...Ready For It?
...RFI was my #1 for a while but gradually the others have climbed back up, either because of single pushes (Delicate), because I stopped overplaying it (LWYMMD), or just because it was a clear album highlight from the beginning and cannot be flawed (Don't Blame Me). All of these are 10/10 songs
5. I Did Something Bad
6. Getaway Car
7. Call It What You Want
More great songs although not ones I admittedly go back to overly often. I Did Something Bad is ICONIC and Getaway Car should have been a (properly pushed) single!
8. End Game
9. Gorgeous
10. King Of My Heart
End Game was a fantastic collaboration... that could have been. I love it but it was absolutely not what I was expecting I really wanted another 'Everything Has Changed' as unlikely as that was.
11. So It Goes
12. New Year's Day
13. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
14. Dancing With Our Hands Tied
15. Dress
Getting lower and lower in my ranking there's kind of a steep drop after King Of My Heart tbh. I do enjoy these but at the same time this could be a 10 track album and I wouldn't have any issues.
Only over the last year around the point where I was excited for Lover to come out did some of the songs really click with me far more than before and I began to really see this album as a masterpiece, only slightly less than 1989 and Lover anyway.
01 // Call It What You Want
02 // ...Ready For It?
03 // Delicate
04 // Getaway Car
05 // I Did Something Bad
06 // Look What You Made Me Do
07 // This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
08 // Don't Blame Me
09 // End Game
10 // So It Goes
11 // King Of My Heart
12 // Dancing With Our Hands Tied
13 // New Year's Day
14 // Gorgeous
15 // Dress
01-06 are all 10/10s. CIWYW I always loved but hit me more than ever this year, it's such a stunning song. Gorgeous and Dress I don't dislike, I'd give them about a 6, but the former is a little cringey and Dress lacks what CIWYW and Delicate have in terms of the sort of song it is, it just feels empty.
on the topic of this album: I am listening to Dress rn and I can never UNHEAR carve your name into my nipples in the chorus ffs
yasss Dexton at having the holy trinity in your top 3 and I'm glad more of the album has clicked for you Doug <3
Don't Blame Me is no 94 in the UK this week. I read that the song is exploding on TikTok. What is the reason for that?
Top 40 for the first time since mid-2018 This has pretty much turned into a classic album atp
I played reputation recently.
I heard that Reputation will be the next TV album and it’s due for release in February 2024
It’s a prediction. In the karma video she has a coffee with a clock pattern. One hand with a blue nail by the 10 (as in 1989tv in October) and the other hand had a black nail by 2 (so February 2024 for rep)
Really hope they do Getaway Car justice and it ends up a massive no1!
Cannot believe it’s been 6 years since this album!!
