Troye has announced that he has new music coming to Spotify in just 6 Days!!
Whether it's a single or whether he's gonna drop the whole album, I don't know. I imagine it's the single. But either way... SO EXCITED!!
I am so f***ing excited, next Thursday can't come soon enough!!!!!
I loved some of his past stuff (and I'd actually marry him, to be fair).
Youth should have been a big hit!!
The male artist I am most excited about hearing music from. Not just the single, he's much more an album artist but here for ANYTHING.
I'm so excited!! I'm in NYC next Saturday so I hope he is out promoting
It's called My My My.
Obviously it's just the title, but that title is awful
oh MY MY MY god I am so excited help me
I have this stuck in my head now I've seen that title:
Watch the song be much better than the title makes it out to be. Remember Ciao Adios?
New collaborators then other than Leland... doesn't look like OzGo has had any hits with anyone else although has written with/for a lot of artists in the past decade, looks like Ghaleb has worked with DNCE and Maroon 5, but Leland did work with Troye on "Talk Me Down" ( ), "Youth" and a few other tracks from "Blue Neighbourhood" so that should help some continuity... worried about the Maroon 5 "Red Pill Blues" links though with OzGo and Ghaleb :/
For a minute I was worryingly reminded of the Duffy song Well Well Well...
Out at 5am UK time on Thursday
I am so ready for the single of the year.
I'm really hoping he doesn't do a Halsey and sell out completely.
Not huge on the artwork but STILL HERE FOR THIS ALL !!!!
kinda really like that artwork tbh
The font placement mucks up the artwork for me but I love the photo!!
Really willing him to have his first proper BIG hit!
Excited for this!
A teaser of the music video was uploaded on his social media.
From https://www.instagram.com/p/BdvSCoFBuSt/:
The teaser sounds like this song is gonna be a BANGER. Can't wait to hear it tomorrow!
Isn't that teaser the music being played backwards?
IT'S EVERYTHING I WANTED IT TO BE.
SENSATIONAL.
Oh my!
Oh my my my we have a bop!
My baby is back. xo
The chorus is so effortlessly massive. And we're all here for a middle-8 that builds and explodes into a final chorus MOMENT. I love everything about the song.
My My My weave is gone
Perfect, everything I wanted and more, he can do no wrong 💙💙💙
Very instant
Tune!
great! very troye-esque but different at the same time
that's a good comeback (unlike justin t)
Love it! King!!
Bopping
Quite like this on first listen, can tell it's gonna grow to be a song I love. I like how it feels like an evolution from "Blue Neighbourhood" and not something completely different.
Wowww this is a bop
It's fabulous!
Already on Hot Hits UK! HIT INCOMING.
Like with the JT single but in a different way, I do feel this is another great example of EXACTLY what we need right now. 2018 is going to be the year that music reignited I think.
That is great. So instant and it feels very Troye, with progression. He's really special.
This goes OFF
Only need one play of that chorus to be completely sold
Oh my oh my oh my
Ain’t my fault this song is bad x
Not massive on the verses yet but liking the chorus. Why is this reminding me of Sledgehammer by Fifth Harmony?
I quite like this and I'll be really happy if this is what gives Troye his first UK hit (not including There For You) but it is inferior to most of Blue Neighbourhood still I know it's hard to top the likes of Wild or Youth, but this is kind of just more of the same from Troye. I've love another Happy Little Pill (a personal favourite, even if it's not his actual best)
Dull as ever from him :/ I will never get the fuss around him.

I think my criticism of the song is that (from what I infer on my first few listens), it doesn't have the subtext or multiple meanings that songs off BN had (LOST BOY, Heaven, TALK ME DOWN etc). It's nice lyrically, but they don't have the beautiful explorations of identity that flew through the last album. I hope wherever this album goes, it does bring some of that back into it but until then I cannot get enough of this. So exciting and fast paced and energetic. Give me this over the MOR of the charts and even the Urban stuff that is everywhere right now. It's REFRESHING.
it's a celebration song, not all songs have to be about finding his identity
My My My! is a song of liberation, freedom and love. Throw all inhibition to the wind, be present in your body, love wholeheartedly, move the way you’ve always wanted to, and dance the way you feel- hopefully to this song!
I am a Troye fan but I find this a bit repetitive. Maybe it’ll grow on me.
I loved 'Happy Little Pill' and the 'Blue Neighbourhood' album so I had high expectations for this... it has not disappointed! It's very instant as a lot of you have touched upon. The production on his songs always slays me so much. Looking forward to more *.*
(the low-pitched "oh my my my" parts instantly reminded me of the similarly low-pitched "my, my, my, my" part of Ed Sheeran's 'Give Me Love', my favourite Ed song!)
((buzzcut? teeth? in the same line?! how very Lorde of him lyrically ))
i mean it's well put together... but i just feel like it has been SO done already (and with a lot more charm) on the likes of st. lucia's 'elevate' etc. it's not bad by any means but it's not much different than a lot of stuff we've had.
i really cannot go this thing of monotonous soft-spoken singing / rapping etc. as a sonic trend, it comes across more lazy than endearing to me and i think it actually strips the song of the necessary power / variation it would need to stay afloat.
i do have to commend him tho as an artist because you DO completely forget his roots lie as a YouTuber.
iTunes Top 20:
#2 Australia
#3 USA
#6 New Zealand
#9 Canada
#15 Ireland
#17 UK
Also doing pretty well streaming-wise too
oooooh this is pretty good!! LOVE the video
This is decent, he had better songs before. Struggling to comprehend what is exciting people so much about this?? Lol
Basically agree with what Leww said. x
i actually love this, tho i do love st lucia so no surprise :’)
I was listening now to some of his old songs and it's crazy he's neevr had a hit before
Youth, Wild, Talk me Down are all a 10/10, with Youth being an 11/10 I blame lack of airplay
I’ve been pretty vocally non plussed about Troye in the past, I’ve often found his songs to lack much “oomph” and a bit one note (or monotonous as Leww described it and I’m glad to finally see I’m not alone in this feeling) but then dark pop has never been my ~thing.
THIS HOWEVER. THIS. Can’t get enough of it, absolutely everything I would have wanted Years & Years to return with. It has all the oomph and excitement I’ve found him lacking into a real euphoric pop track. The video definitely helped to elevate it aswell, ever since watching it, I’ve been gayly mincing to and from work with a spring in my step because of it.
More of THIS pls x
I can't help but feel that re-entries from the Cranberries are going to deny Troye going top 40
Love at first listen! The chorus is such a huge moment, really euphoric. Yaaas! More of these bops please, Troye. *.*
Really pleased that it's shaping up to be a hit.
Oh and the video!! He's really feeling himself, love how much more confident he seems this time around. It's a real turning point in his artistry, he comes across as a star.
Saturday Night Live performance:
The more I listen to this, the more I start to feel like he's a male Kylie
new at #80 in the US
his 4th top 100 I believe
R1 playlisted
