This was sooooooooooo good. Siobhan is so genuinely funny and humble.

Great to hear her talk about Ghosts and how if she wasn’t preggo we’d have had a 10th anniversary press!

Also nice to hear her acknowledge that our least favourite word is soon!! laugh.gif

So the gist of it is they’re still recording and writing. Like literally as we listen to this they’re still in sessions. The legal stuff f***s them off as much as it f***s us off but has made them more determined to actually release a damn album. Not every song from the early sessions are dead as some might get a new life and they’re chill about the leaks. I think I’m terms of MKS news this was probably one of the most positive things we’ve had since Keisha started the process of trademark cancellation for the 4.0 lot

I absolutely adore Siobhan. Frustrating as it is, that interview is enough for me. If something happens, it happens. If not, then at least we know they're trying their hardest.

OCC have covered the interview. Continuing their love for the girls:

Someone at the OCC is a sugaloon for sure!

Great that they covered it and they pulled out the best quotes. I’m so happy she did this interview, it was a great birthday gift

From the main page the titles sometimes get cut off. So did this one.

My first thought reading "Siobhan Donaghy appears on Bot..." was "...ched?"

:')

Yooo

I showed a friend Siobhan Dogherty, Medevac and Ghosts the song, when introducing him to excellent singer songwriters. Well! He said it was awful and overproduced with fake instrumentation that cannot be separated :// Well I love it! Does anyone know aboot the instrumentation- is it digital sounds or was it real instruments? If it's real I can throw that in his fyiace

I don’t have the liner notes to hand so cannot say definitively, they did use a lot of digital techniques in the mastering and production of the record. The title track for example.

Anyone tho who calls Ghosts awful and overproduced can get in the sea. Cut that person out of your life Michael you don’t need that toxic negativity

He said it was all image, but I completely disagree. The lyrics are metaphoric, the vocals are Kate Bush like, and it has excellent production. Not all music needs to be a piano and guitar to be good.

I completely agree with you. It's a magnificent triumph of a record. The irony of your friends comment is that's it's very authentically Siobhan. The imagery, the videos, all of this is her vibe. You can see it in Revolutions and then in the MKS comeback as well.

*Update*

I'd like to use this topic for a more general place where we can post and discuss podcast episodes in which the Sugababes themselves appear and/or are being talked about. I'll update the first post and feel free to share ones, so I can add them as well!

Clara Amfo's This City (Interview)

Right Back At Ya! discussing Sugababes Part 1
Right Back At Ya! discussing Sugababes Part 2

Pod of the Pops discussing Sugababes

Track by Track discussing Angels With Dirty Faces
Track by Track discussing One Touch

The ones I have added so far.
The one with Clara Amfo is an interview with the girls about their love of London and was uploaded in March 2020, so one of the very few more recents interviews we got. I assume it was recorded around the time of Flowers promo.

Right Back at Ya! is probably my favourite pop podcast, these guys are SO much fun and they clearly love the 'Babes. They have done two parts now and will release the third one soon.

Pod of the Pods dedicated their whole second season to the Sugababes and have in depth episodes of all the era's + all the individual girls as well.

Track by Track is another fantastic music podcast in which the hosts discuss an album track-by-track (yes, surprise) every week. So far they have done two Sugababes releases.

It's annoying because it's obvious at that point that they were gearing up for the One Touch release and then of course co-vid happned dry.gif
