The whole thing was IKONEK - the Liam call-out, the performance, the costumes

An iconic night in their history! wub.gif I never get tired of that performance! I know a lot of the credit is aimed at Geri's look when it comes to its iconic status, but personally I think it goes beyond that. It's such an electrifying performance. heart.gif

It's a shame in a way that Geri's dress gets so much attention because the performance itself is just WOW! The only thing that could make it better would be if it were live!

Monday 24th February 2003 - Melanie C - 'Here It Comes Again'

15 years ago, Melanie C released 'Here It Comes Again', the first single to be taken from her second album 'Reason'. The single entered the UK charts at #7, making it her sixth Top 10 hit as a soloist. Supposedly Virgin were disappointed with that position, having projected it to enter at #2 behind Christina Aguilera's 'Beautiful' - but Melanie was only the fifth highest new entry of the week! As of 2009, 'Here It Comes Again' had sold just under 40,000 copies in total - 19,000 of which had been shifted in its first week on sale.

P.S. This single was released the day after my 15th birthday, so it came out half of my life ago... drama.gif I wouldn't mind being 15 again! cry.gif :')

One of my least favourite Mel C singles. It's so boring it just plods along, for a lead single it was so bad nothing to excite people for the album.

Can't believe she went from Northern Star to that

Very plodding song, 'nice enough', but more Forever fodder than Robbie Williams

She needed to stick to the pop bops

Here It Comes Again is one of my favorites!

I remember the first time I heard it, it was in a Sunday morning and it started playing on the radio (the song had some decent airplay in Brazil).
I had no idea she had a new song out -- oh, those days with limited internet connection -- , I was just so happy when I recognized her voice. wub.gif

I loved HICA at the time however it hasn't aged as well as some of her others for me, I find it a bit too long nowerdays. At the time I adored it though, her voice is magnificent!

Here It Comes Again was the perfect first single but the album tracks were a mess and the b-sides were much better tracks .

Here it comes again is the biggest solo Spice girls flop when you think where she was and solo Spice girls were at that time.

9th March -

20 years since the single release of 'Stop'!

Stop is well known for being their first single to miss out on the top spot in the UK - entering and peaking at #2 behind 'It's Like That' by Jason Nevins & Run DMC.

As of March 2017 it had sold 420,200 copies, which means it is Gold certified.

This would be the final single released while Geri was still a member of the band during their heyday, however their next single Viva Forever still counts as being a 5 piece release.

The dance routine during the chorus surely has to be their most recognised dance routines? Iconic!

One of their worst songs, but also one of their most iconic.
