I was wondering earlier which singles got to number one thanks to being 59p?

An obvious one is Shawn Mendes' 'Stitches' which got put back to £0.99 once it reached the top spot.

Can anyone remember anymore?

Titanium was 59p when it made #1, I remember it clearly cause it beat Alyssa Reid to the top laugh.gif

Counting Stars definitely got into contention for #1 with 59p I think although I can't remember if it was 59p when it hit #1.

That was never #1 though was it? On iTunes it was though.


Counting Stars was helped by 59p for sure!

A bit off topic but 59p songs seem to be becoming more and more important in stabilising certain songs or helping combat lack of streaming, I think it's something we will see more and more of as artists that don't have a 'streaming' savvy fanbase struggle to get hits
