DISCO will have racked up 3 and a half months of pre-orders by the time of its release on November 6th and presumably BMG have a healthy promo schedule lined up - at this early stage, what are your predictions for its first week sales?
It's too early to predict, but I am going for 60k-69k.
30-39k is what i voted i think 30k will be its lowest but it could go as high as 50k.
I am predicting 45,000.
I am going 48,500 dependent on what the 2nd single sounds like. And also Covid-19 situation, shops open in cold November etc. Also will she release any more versions? Another cassette maybe?
It is November so if people put on their Xmas list....
Supermarket sales should be strong at release time.
I would think online with all the different formats is where a large chunk of first week sales will come from and the supermarkets will really help the casual sales.
40k on the nose.
Im also predicting a number 1 debut or the least really hoping it will.
Hoping for number 1 but literally anything and anyone could release same week still or even a week before if it's a big artist. Let's hope they don't want to ruin Kylie chances
ya im hoping nothing comes along and blocks her,
It would be so disappointing if she doesn't achieve Number 1 in the scenario where her sales would easily have achieved the Number 1 the previous week or the week that directly follows.
i would so hate that happening, fingers crossed it wont be the case and kylie sails all the way to the top where she belongs.
33k - 36k
38k
Do we have a list of all her opening week sales for albums?
060,000 Kylie: The Album (#2)

007,234 Golden: Live in Concert (#23)
Golden delivered a great first week turnaround from both Kylie Christmas and Kiss Me Once.
I think it depends on covid situation. If we get another lockdown, sales may suffer significantly or the album could be even delayed. It could sell upto 50k first week.
If the market is in full swing 50k is highly possible.
She has it on pre order to get everyone's furlough money before they get made redundant. Haha.
I'm going to be optimistic and say it'll beat Golden - 50k-59k.
If covid 19 second wave doesn't hit I think she could outsell golden on week 1, hopefully disco can hold up and match golden overall sales or better still, beat it.
If high unemployment no one will have money to buy big bundles though lol
If I where her team I would have everything made and boxed ready to send out and no refunds given lol
That wouldn't be nice, i think some fans will prob start saving now so they can buy as many different formats as they can afford.
60,000 is reachable but055,000 would be likely its very highest.
I'd be really happy if it hit 40k, anything more is a big bonus.
Any artists relying on signing gatherings will lose out this year.
Its not something Kylie does but it would be worthwhile to do.
70k would be wow but Il happy if it can match golden.
If Kylie can conduct various promotional activities in the weeks following the release it is possible sales outside debut week will outperform Golden.
as a huge megafan , if the rest of the album sounds like Say something, which i like, but dont see as lead single material, and with lack of TV performances due to covid 19, i dont see it selling a lot more than 20k... perhaps 22-23 k...
29K as an early guess.
I think it's equally likely that she'll sell 60K with only 238 different purchasers though
From the Golden opening sales a breakdown of purchasers would have been interesting.
Of the 40,000 sales, it was likely purchased in only 25,000 individual homes.
I went for 48,500 first time
Going to reduce my target and hope for 38,500
Just not sure what promo she has lined up and other variants .
40K is prob the most it will do but il take more if it happens.
It is becoming hard to predict with confidence but I feel figures close to 40,000 either side looks the likely outcome.
I think she’ll clear 40K.
Can see it maybe just crossing 50k potentially but my guess is between 40k and 50k. That’s literally what I just predicted for Little Mix too I really can’t call this chart battle.
if the chart battle is hyped up in the press it will give both a sales boost and prob help kylie nearer to the 50k.
In the 40-49k region I think (I hope for more!)
The pre orders are a big help for kylie.
Maybe I’m just trying to not get my hopes up, but I’m predicting around a 38k debut for this. I have a bad feeling LM will probs so around 45-50k and take the #1
I just feel like there isn’t quite as much hype this time around but her steady fanbase will still be there, and we can hopefully have it hit 80k+ by Christmas as more casual fans will pick it up later as presents.
I hope it exceeds my expectations though.
I changed from 48.5 to 37.5 lol
I like to be surprised
The lockdown through off many of our predictions.
Disco should have a minimum first week worldwide total of 100000.
I missed voting in this - maybe I should add my vote now
