Hello
As you know, we announce Buzzjack Community Awards when we feel we have some occasion to do so. It is a sad occasion for the first award. As you are all no doubt aware, long time Buzzjack poster Luciano passed away tragically last month. To offer a token of thanks for his contribution to the site for 10 years, it seems fitting to offer a Buzzjack Community award. RIP Luc, thanks for your hard work about the forum. You will be sorely missed by us all. On a different note, Cal has stepped down from years of slave labour in the the BJSC forum. To commemorate this the second award today goes to him. Thanks Cal, hope you still stick around! Finally, Bre has been given a Community Award for his time as a Chart Mod (and significantly his time and contribution before becoming a chart mod in the UK Chart Chat forum). Of course, Bre continues to contribute to the forum as Lounge Mod, but thanks is overdue for his time as a Chart Mod. |

Congratulations to Cal and Bre, thank you both very much for your hard work.
And to the memory of Luciano, rest in peace; this award can only be a small token but we hope it can be a fitting form of recognition for a poster who spent so much time here and left a mark on so many people. |

Very sad to hear about Luciano! I don't think I ever crossed paths with him but he had a very large presence on this site so it's a huge loss.
Wasn't expecting anything when I clicked on this, so I'm very surprised! Huge thanks to management for allowing me to help out with BJSC - it was a great experience (sometimes harrowing!!!) and also extremely enjoyable so I'm glad I could contribute! Congrats to Bré as well - always a stellar contributor whichever forum he visits!

A bit late, but I've just read the post regarding Luciano's passing in the Lounge.
I remember him from when I first joined the forum, especially his posts in The Killers forum where we shared a keen interest in the band. I remember him being, amongst other things, extremely helpful, courteous and kind. I'm shocked and saddened to hear of what happened. I think the tribute is a fine way to pay respect to someone who was such a big part of the community for such a long time. May he rest in peace. |
