Ermal Meta & Fabrizio Moro - Non mi avente fatto niente

Posted by: Liаm 25th January 2018, 12:54 AM

The following artists will be competing across the 5 nights, from Feb 6th to Feb 10th - of course the winner isn't guaranteed to be the representative but they are given the opportunity to represen Italy:

Annalisa - Il mondo prma di te
Decibel - Fuori dal tempo
Diodato & Roy Paci - Adesso
Elio e le Storie Tese - Arrivedorci
Enzo Avitabile ft. Peppe Servillo - Il coraggio di ogni giorno
Ermal Meta & Fabrizio Moro - Non mi avete fatto niente
Giovanni Caccamo - Eterno
Le Vibrazioni - Cosi sbagliato
Lo Stato Sociale - Una vita in vacanza
Luca Barbarossa - Passame er sale
Mario Biondi - Rivedert
Max Gazze - La leggenda di Cristalda e Pizzomunno
Nina Zilli - Senza appartenere
Noemi - Non smettere mai di cercarmi
Ornella Vanoni ft. Bungaro& Pacifico - Imparare ad amarsi
Red Canzian - Ognuno ha il suo racconto
Renzo Rubino - Custodire
Roby Facchinetti & Riccardo Fogli - Il segreto del tempo
Ron - Almeno pensami
The Kolors - Frida

Annalisa is my dream Italian ESC act so I'm praying for her to do it - insiders have said it is her best track to date and that it is a ballad with contemporary electronic production. That sounds potentially epic and I can't wait to hear it <3 Ermal and Fabrizio are the faves to win but they sound decidedly less exciting - a deceptively catchy folky song that will be the token preaching about war and terrorism song.

That's weird - I was thinking about Annalisa only a couple of days ago ("Diamante Lei E Luce Lui" popped into my head) - and was thinking she'd be a great choice for Italy with a song of that quality. Giorgia is another I'd like to see for Italy, but she's obviously not in there this year...

VOX

Sadly Non mi avete fatto niente is troncing all on YT views sad.gif AWFUL song, but I only listened to the few names I knew and that bc it was a fave. Nina Zilli's song is a total non event :/

Posted by: Liаm 7th February 2018, 12:18 AM

JUST FOUND ODDS AND SHE IS 4TH WTF

Having skim listened to them all Annalisa is the only one doing anything for me, such a dull crop laugh.gif

Posted by: LexC 7th February 2018, 12:59 AM

All of the seven in the "blue zone" were kinda crap ngl but this one was mildly entertaining and had a good stage gimmick.

Posted by: Liаm 7th February 2018, 01:18 AM

Perhaps that will pull it like Occidentali's Karma did, I remember Fiorelli Mannoia last year was like 1/4 to win and didn't so hopefully it's not Non mi avete doesn't win. Lo stato sociale was probably my second fave almost by defaultbut Christ what a dull crop laugh.gif

Posted by: Umi 7th February 2018, 08:15 PM

I really like a lot of these actually. I was somewhat in love with Ornella's song and I really liked Max Gazzé's too, though I suspect I should feel slightly embarrassed to say that. Really supporting Annalisa to win in any case, and sad about Nina Zilli's song being so mediocre sad.gif

Voting
The voting will be done by 50% televoting, 30% press jury voting and 20% expert jury voting. The top 3 songs will go on to a superfinal where it is expected the winner will be decided by the same percentages of public/jury votes.

*It is important to note however, that the winner of Sanremo has the right to refuse the offer of Eurovision. If they do, RAI will decide another act of their own accord and not necessarily the act who finished 2nd*

The Favourites
Ermal Meta & Fabrizio Moro are the clear favourites despite nearly having their song disqualified earlier this week for plagarism. If there were to be an upset, Lo Stato Sociale or Ron are the most likely contenders.

Are people coming here after Melfest? Also why would the winner turn down Eurovision?

Posted by: Liаm 10th February 2018, 08:13 PM

It's like a huge Italian thing in a similar way to how Melfest is in Sweden, it estbalished itself as "more" than Eurovision so it's like a load of big Italian stars competing and it's not necessarily for Eurovision so they don't always want to.

I'm hoping whoever wins turns it down and Annalisa magically comes 2nd but I'm resigned to her not even making the superfinal laugh.gif

So I am finally here after watching Denmark make a "choice"

I am annoyed that unlike Denmark Italy does not allow us to Chrome Cast.

Posted by: Midge 10th February 2018, 09:07 PM

Okay I'm watching. What's going on? I love the Italian language wub.gif

There's a lot of "grazi" going on.

They seem to have been banging on about a junior version of the show.

He looks a bit old for the junior version ohmy.gif

Posted by: Midge 10th February 2018, 09:11 PM

I don't like this song by man with big hair and earrings.

Posted by: AdamAloud 10th February 2018, 09:15 PM

Good luck to you who are following this live - they're on song 6 of 20 after the show started 90 minutes ago.

Seriously?

No wonder they say it could last 4 hours?

Although maybe it will be like Malta and be on for what feels like forever?

Posted by: Midge 10th February 2018, 09:18 PM

Okay think I might skip watching the rest if it's THAT slow haha! Annalisa was nice but not right for Eurovision. Much prefer the other track I've heard from her too.

Posted by: Martyn 10th February 2018, 09:31 PM

There are a lot of adverts in Italy

Posted by: Liаm 10th February 2018, 09:35 PM

Yeah I was NOT gonna sit through that laugh.gif

Posted by: Martyn 10th February 2018, 09:42 PM

So we are now on Song 10 which is terrible.

Isn't the show supposed to be over in half an hour. What kind of mess? I need more wine.

Italian television has its reputation for a reason!

Posted by: Martyn 10th February 2018, 09:46 PM

Some gay on twitter has just said to me don't expect this to be over for another 2 and half hours.

Posted by: Ryan. 10th February 2018, 09:46 PM

Sanremo usually finishes around 1am our time based on past experience!

I knew not off this reputation. This is my fist venture into Sanremo.

Apparently everything needs to be presented correctly and properly.

Posted by: LexC 10th February 2018, 09:55 PM

I mean if you’re used to the meticulously drilled and efficient presentation style of Melfest and MGP then Sanremo is quite a big leap to the other end of the scale. Should only really be attempted if you have a deep love of Italian Music.

Posted by: Liаm 10th February 2018, 11:24 PM

I love Italian music but I could not sit through this laugh.gif Tried to in Francesca's year, it's just far too long and a bit bland and soulless to watch compared to the fun and big spectacle of say Melfest. This is I think the third time as they've sung, rather than having semis I think it was like all 20 sang, then 10 the next day, 10 the next, and now the final bit.

Posted by: Ryan. 10th February 2018, 11:36 PM

Superfinalists are Annalisa, Ermal & Fabrizio and Lo Stato Sociale. Great top 3!

Posted by: Liаm 10th February 2018, 11:42 PM

Omg Come on Annalisa!!!! QUEEN

Either way her best Sanremo placing but I've really fallen in love with Il mondo prima di te!

Posted by: Liаm 11th February 2018, 12:20 AM

Ermal & Fabrizio won puke.gif

Posted by: Ryan. 11th February 2018, 12:21 AM

Ermal & Fabrizio win after a televoting landslide! Lo Stato Sociale just beat Annalisa to second.

Now we await news whether Ermal & Fabrizio's song will be allowed to compete in Eurovision (there were issues earlier this week regarding their song being released a couple of years ago in another form or something) which could be an issue in Eurovision. They've said earlier this week they'll go to Eurovision if they can.

Posted by: Liаm 11th February 2018, 12:25 AM

Them to be disqualified and Lo stato sociale to refuse so Annalisa goes to Eurovision x

Eurovision seems less stringent on rules recently so I doubt anything will come of it laugh.gif

Posted by: Ryan. 11th February 2018, 12:27 AM

Yeah I think it'll be fine, the EBU usually just trot out the line "the song has no competitive advantage from its previous form of release" whenever this issue arises these days. The fact it is one of their pets Italy should be in their favour too kink.gif

Posted by: Ryan. 11th February 2018, 12:29 AM

The music video + song package for this is really strong, although I'm guessing this probably strays quite close to the political speech rule too? It'll still be fine, it'll be no more of a "rule-break" than France's "Mercy" I imagine.

Posted by: Ryan. 11th February 2018, 12:32 AM

I've just read a rough translation of the lyrics, powerful stuff!

Posted by: AdamAloud 11th February 2018, 08:44 AM

Eurovision.tv confirming they will go to Lisbon.

Posted by: Midge 11th February 2018, 10:12 AM

Couldn't get much different to "Occidentali's Karma" could it? laugh.gif
