Top 40 Chart Commentary

• As if it was in any doubt, Avicii gets a 10th week at #1 with 'Heaven', making it his third song to reach 10 weeks following 'Waiting For Love' (12) and 'Lonely Together' (13), although LT did not manage 10 consecutive weeks (all of WFL's weeks were consecutive).
• Gareth Emery meanwhile gets a 2nd week at #2 with 'Mezzanine'.

• It has been a year and a half since Duke Dumont's last commercial single, and hit in this chart. This was 'Inhale' which went straight in at #1 (after charting lowly the week before from one day's sales) giving him a second chart topper. He can't replicate it this time but debuts at a still impressive #3 with 'The Power', his 10th hit (and 8th to go top ten). The song is also the highest charting hit for guest vocalist Zak Abel, who previously appeared on Avicii album track 'Ten More Days' (#29, 2015).

• Ashley Wallbridge follows Gareth Emery in releasing a solo single following their collab album, and is rewarded with an instant top ten. 'Diamonds' enters at #8 to give him a 16th hit, however it is just his 2nd excluding his Emery collabs. It is also his 8th top ten hit (again, his 2nd without Emery).
• One place above, Solardo & Eli Brown continue their quick ascent up the chart with 'XTC'.

• The Emery connections continue as Nash has the next new entry, at #15 with 'I Know You'. The trance producer previously featured on two album tracks by Emery & Wallbridge.
• Big Ibiza club hit 'Joys' gives Roberto Surace his first hit at #27.
• At #28, trance producer Claudia Cazacu gets her first hit with 'Freefallin' thanks to a new remix by Futurecode. The song previously scraped the top 100 following the BJSC appearance of the original mix. It gives Futurecode their 4th hit.
• Following a lengthy climb in the bubblin' under section, CLiQ get their 4th hit with 'Dance on the Table' at #39. It has 3 guest vocalists, all who have never seen the chart before.
