Philip George finally releasing a follow-up to 'Wish You Were Mine' then, although whether it'll do good or flop completely remains to be seen. Reminds me of 'Won't Look Back' in the sense that it's rather 'Ride On Time' - although a little research tells me that Philip George has sampled Loleatta Holloway's 'Love Sensation' which was sampled in 'Ride On Time'.

Cooking fantastic playlist!!

Still annoys me how on this playlist they can add songs straight into the upper reaches but refuse to most of the time on radio 1 restricting OAOS releases!

Thanks for the 6Music playlist Harry. I often try to get it switched on at work so looks like some new Chemical Brothers and Mercury Rev (wub.gif) I have to look forward to.

R1 used to A-list stuff immediately quite often in the 1990s. I remember “Crying Lightning” by the Arctic Monkeys going straight there in 2009!

YES THATS IT the song I was on about laugh.gif Also wasn't a Skrillex song a-listed straight away?? Could be wrong.

Yeh I remember that too they tiptoed around the notion of adding songs higher up the playlist during that early download period but gave it up. I also am old enough to remember new tracks by Madge and Eminem entering the A List in the late 90s/early noughties. I think they did it then because they were A list artists making a big return! Band Aid 20 also did the same I'm sure?

Yep, Band Aid 20 went straight to A-list: https://web.archive.org/web/20041125054241/...ist/alist.shtml

Recorded 14/11/2004 and A-listed 4 days later. Not bad! biggrin.gif

Thanks for these - I was unable to wrestle control of the radio at work and so we had THE HITS on today, but I look forward to hearing the new John Grant track!

Everything he touches seems to turn to gold over here though (Somebody #2, Don't Tell Em #5, Freak of the Week #9) and even if it is awful, Tori needs to get some hype over here, desperate for her album to do well and not do a Charli XCX/Marina/Tove Lo type run
