That is the show you went to Laura , what a beautiful setting, I would love to have been there No it's not. I went to The Troxy in November when he got the Brits Icon award. This St john's, Hackney gig was in December just before Christmas. You could only get tickets by winning something. A competition I think it was. But I remember Robbie saying on Upfront that the church gig was one of his favourites of the whole promo. |

Awful, depressing , where has our lovely boy gone Not to your taste Tess? He's just not being put in one genre/ in one box as always. I'm loving that it's 11 years to the day since Rudebox and he's still making music that he loves. UTR2 will be a mixed bag. There'll be something in there for all for us. Don't worry. |

I am looking forward to the album but I call that video a sludge-mudge |

BBC Radio 2Verified account
@BBCRadio2 "It got me paranoid - am I too honest?" @robbiewilliams tells @achrisevans his second biography is full of revelations about his career. http://bbc.in/2kEdR2Q I listened into this today and heard Paloma Faith and very funny Jack Black. So I need to listen again tomorrow for the RW bit. |

Thought I would play this to celebrate NYE & cover some of the reviews from 2006 ( hard to believe it's nearly twelve years ago )
Unfortunately the fans hated it NME 23/10/16 ‘Rudebox’ is not ‘Robbie Williams the serious artiste’, but it is an amazing pop album. It remains to be seen if it will be his undoing with the mainstream and those tabloid hacks. But it seems, musically at least, he’s just getting started. And, if you leave your preconceptions at the door, you might just love it. HOTPRESS 27/10/16 Rudebox Robbie Williams' seventh album is everything a pop record should not be. BBC Review Confused It's a confusing album. Julie Broadfoot 2006 http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/reviews/5w8c/ ( interesting review .better than the title indicates & unravels some of the confusion ) Rudebox Sputnik Music ( https://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/43396/R...lliams-Rudebox/ ) , really interesting review The root is bitter but the fruit is sweet. NOT FOR EVERYDAY LISTENING! Rudebox - Gaytimes http://stevepafford.com/gay-times-robbie-w...rudebox-review/ Elsewhere there’s an intriguing ragbag of ideas, from solid covers of 80s Pop faves Louise and Kiss Me (Human League and current writing foil Stephen ’TinTin’ Duffy respectively), Hunky Dory-era Bowie tributes (Viva Life On Mars and The Actor) and a Streets-lite two-part autobiographical suite The 80s and The 90s, where lyrics such as ’It’s nice that you’ve got a mansion/While I’m treated like the drummer from Hanson,” prove that the ex-boybander’s post-Take That trauma is still as evident and as brilliantly twisted as ever. Strange fascination indeed. 12 DEC 2006 Robbiams.com https://www.robbiewilliams.com/news/rudebox-how-rude “I’ve always been scared to try out different things and I think on this album I’ve lost the fear of where I should be in my head as a populist artist. It means I can just go and make wonky pop , which is all I wanted to do anyway.” Robbie Williams in Music Week, September 2006 |

Always here for the Rudebox love.

It's a shame that his own lack of confidence has stopped there being another. Although UTR 1and 2 are pretty close. I love him for his eclectic taste. |

Yes, UTR1 & 2 are in the same genre . There were rumours earlier in 2017 that a new album would be released in the Autumn of 2018 I think that came from the book. It said in there that there would be a new RW album in 2018. Someone asked him about that in chat and he said he thought that had changed but there might be an UTR3 instead. I'm still wondering if there will be more touring of HES although no sign of anything else getting announced so it looks like South America have missed out again. |
