Biography
Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe, or simply Tinashe, is known for her recurring role on the sitcom Two and a Half Men, in which she appeared during the sixth and seventh seasons. She has also worked as a voice actor and as a model, and is a contemporary R&B singer and songwriter. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, she moved to Los Angeles during the early 2000s. During the tail end of the 2000s, after she had established her acting career, she joined the Stunners, a short-lived teen pop group that recorded for Columbia and Republic and opened for Justin Bieber during the My World tour. After the group's 2011 split, Tinashe went solo with a low-key contemporary R&B direction, released mixtapes, and ultimately signed with RCA. In 2013, she collaborated with Jacques Greene on the one-off track "Painted Faces" and released her third mixtape, Black Water, near the end of the year. In January 2014, she made her RCA debut with "2 On," a rattle-and-snap track on which she was joined by ScHoolboy Q. Biography
At just 20 years old, KStewart (real name Kate) has made a name for herself as a sought after featured vocalist and fast rising artist in her own right. She appeared on Oliver Helden’s #5 UK single ‘Last Night (Koala)’ and Manchester DJ and producer TCTS gospel flavored house track ‘Games’. Biography
A seasoned performer on the Irish music scene, acoustic singer/songwriter Jamie Lawson eventually found fame when one of his tracks became an overnight YouTube sensation. Born and raised in Plymouth, England, Lawson picked up the guitar at age eight and, influenced by Crowded House, R.E.M., and Leonard Cohen, began his musical career in a covers band while still at school. Poor brave Duke Dumont, this really was his last chance. At least 'Ocean Drive' should probably have outsold 'The Giver (Reprise)' by now, but a real shame it's missed its chance to be a top 40 hit.

Yeah same! It's a decent song, one of their best for me for sure.

'Lay It All On Me' actually sounded a lot better on second listen, too quick to judge it last week. This new Natalie La Rose song remains very average though. Disappointing after 'Somebody', even Sir Wap can't really save it.

Actually not too bad a result, all things considered I think. It basically fluked the Monday midweek #1, the entire top 5 was very close! Plus it's done way better than the likes of Little Mix and Rita Ora did when releasing OA/OS. I'll take #12 even if I wanted and hoped for higher.

It's disappointing for sure, I think this just goes to show that OA/OS doesn't work for particular artists If everything was still using the conventional held-back methods, I think this would've ended up as a top 5 hit.

On My Mind is hitting me so badly right now, absolutely loving it
I'm off now as can't face listening to any of that horrific top 4! Phillip George's new song is horrendous but an improvement on his first single which was one of the worst songs this year, Sam Screech can bore off, Locked Away is possibly the most painful song this week and Bieber's one is ok but nothing great and so doesn't deserve to spend this long at #1 (though at least it has held off those other 3 songs!)

Very true actually! Little Mix may have benefited a bit but Rita definitely wouldn't have. Top 15 with an OA/OS release is impressive for anyone I think, and I guess as Ryan said not too long ago, we should be adjusting our views and should see top 40 as a success in the OA/OS market now, rather than saying something's a flop if it misses the top 10!

I find this more interesting than Wish You Were Mine actually, only just. That one really did just plod with the same vocal repeated throughout. This at least varies the vocal element throughout

Samuel Frederick "Sam" Smith (born 19 May 1992) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in October 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure's breakthrough single "Latch", which peaked at number eleven on the UK Singles Chart. His subsequent feature—on Naughty Boy's "La La La"—earned him his first number one single in May 2013.

Biography
Rock City, also known as R. City and Planet VI, is an American musical duo formed in 2003, from Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The duo, composed of brothers Theron and Timothy Thomas, who use the stage names, A.I. and Uptown AP respectively, are also a songwriting and record production team. The Thomas brothers are perhaps best known for writing and producing hit singles for several prominent artists, including Sean Kingston ("Take You There"), Miley Cyrus ("We Can't Stop"), Nicki Minaj ("Only") and Rihanna ("Pour It Up"), among others.

The duo has also contributed to numerous Grammy-nominated albums including Rihanna's Unapologetic (which won Best Urban Contemporary Album), Jennifer Hudson's self-titled album (which won Best R&B Album), and Ariana Grande's My Everything (which was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album).

Rock City also releases original music, having released several mixtapes since 2008. Justin Drew Bieber (/ˈbiːbər/; born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Bieber's current manager, Scooter Braun, first discovered him through his YouTube videos in 2007. With a "cheeky chappy" persona to match Robbie Williams and vocals reminiscent of original Pop Idol Will Young, former call-center worker Olly Murs was one of the success stories of the 2009 season of The X Factor, finishing runner-up to Joe McElderry in the hotly contested final. Born in Essex in 1984, Murs showed little interest in singing while at school, focusing his attention on football, where he played for the school team and later semi-professionally for local non-league team Witham Town. In 2007, he appeared on Deal or No Deal, where he won a lowly £10, but it was his performance of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" on the sixth series of The X Factor that enabled him to show off his talents. Mentored by Simon Cowell in the live stages, he wowed judges with renditions of songs by the Beatles, Queen, and George Michael and soon became the favorite to win the show. However, despite a duet with musical hero Robbie Williams in the final, Murs finished a respectable second. In 2010, he signed a six-figure record deal with Epic/Syco Music and embarked on the sold-out X Factor arena tour. After being personally invited by Williams to play at the televised charity football event Soccer Aid, Murs released his first single, the Jason Mraz-inspired "Please Don't Let Me Go," in August. Murs took a short break from his musical career in late 2011 to present the eighth season of The Xtra Factor — a spinoff behind-the-scenes look at The X Factor — returning to the program that shot him to fame. His experience with the dynamics involved in the show and his upbeat character made him a firm favorite with the audience — as well as flirty co-presenter Caroline Flack. During the recording of each show, Murs was working on songs for his second album with writers Steve Robson (Lily Allen, James Morrison) and Claude Kelly (Kelly Clarkson, Backstreet Boys). The first single from his second record, "Heart Skips a Beat," featuring U.K. hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks, was released in summer 2011 and swiftly became a hit. The full release, In Case You Didn't Know, followed in November and secured his first U.K. number one album. The following year, Murs opened for sprightly boy band One Direction on their North American tour and re-released the "Heart Skips a Beat" single, replacing Rizzle Kicks with Philadelphia rap duo Chiddy Bang, to coincide with the shows. Biography
Australian rock band 5 Seconds to Summer make ebullient, high-energy music that straddles the line between '90s punk-pop and 1000s boy-band pop. Formed in 2011, the band features fellow Norwest Christian College grads Luke Hemmings (lead vocals/guitar), Michael Clifford (guitar/vocals), Calum Hood (bass/vocals), and Ashton Irwin (drums/vocals). The band uploaded several videos to Youtube and quickly caught the attention of Sony, who signed the band to a publishing deal. In 2012, 5 Seconds to Summer released two EPs including Unplugged and Somewhere New. The following year, the band received a further boost after they were asked to open for Britain's One Direction on tour. Enya (born Eithne Ní Bhraonáin; Irish pronunciation: [ˈɛnʲə nʲiː ˈvˠɾˠiːn̪ˠaːnʲ], anglicised as Enya Brennan; 17 May 1961) is an Irish singer, instrumentalist, and songwriter.
