Great Britain's Lawrence Okolie delivered a punch-perfect display before landing a sixth-round knockout of Krzysztof Glowacki to become WBO world cruiserweight champion.

In just his 16th professional fight, Okolie used his height and reach to never allow Poland's Glowacki close.

He started unloading his right hand in the fourth and looked completely at ease against a former world champion.

Undefeated Welshman Joe Cordina made a winning return to the ring in his first fight since 2019 as he beat Faroukh Kourbanov on a majority decision.

Cordina, 29, looked a little ring rusty after a 17-month hiatus as he beat a lively opponent at Wembley Arena.

The undefeated super featherweight, a former standout amateur, was given a tough test by Kourbanov who landed some decent shots in a 10-round contest.

Cordina took a close decision 96-96, 98-93 and 96-95 on the judges' cards.

Former five-weight world champion Floyd Mayweather's exhibition bout with YouTuber and amateur fighter Logan Paul has been rescheduled for 6 June.

The bout will take place at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium four months after they were initially scheduled to meet.

Mayweather, 44, ended his career unbeaten in 50 bouts and last fought in 2017, defeating MMA star Conor McGregor in one of the richest bouts in history.

Paul, 26, lost his only previous professional fight in 2019.

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez says Billy Joe Saunders' pursuit of him has made Saturday's fight "more personal".

The Mexican, 30, has been called out in recent years by Britain's Saunders, who insists he can land a shock win.

Saunders did not turn up for the first face-to-face of the week and is angry about the size of Saturday's ring.

Joshua Buatsi extended his unbeaten record with a brutal knockout win against Daniel Blenda Dos Santos.

The light-heavyweight, a bronze medallist for Great Britain at the 2016 Olympics, was dominant in only his second outing since August 2019.

He floored Dos Santos with a flurry in round two, and a hard right knocked the Frenchman out in the fourth.

Anthony Joshua called Tyson Fury "a fraud" in a furious social media exchange after the news that their heavyweight showdown might be off.

The pair looked set for a highly-anticipated meeting in August, but an arbitration hearing ruled Fury must first face American Deontay Wilder.

"You've let boxing down. You lied to the fans and led them on. Used my name for clout not a fight," tweeted Joshua.

In response, Fury challenged Joshua to a bare-knuckle fight.

The teams behind the two British heavyweights have engaged in lengthy negotiations to get what has been billed as one of the biggest fights in heavyweight boxing for decades over the line.

Manny Pacquiao is set for his first fight in two years when he faces WBC and IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr in August.

The 42-year-old has not fought since he beat Keith Thurman for the WBA welterweight title in July 2019.

He announced on Twitter that he will meet 31-year-old Spence Jr in Las Vegas on 21 August in what would be his 72nd professional fight.

Former world heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin says he is retiring from boxing because he needs time to fully recover from coronavirus.

"I'm no longer young. I have decided to end my career," said the Russian, 41.

Povetkin was WBC interim heavyweight champion until he was stopped by Briton Dillian Whyte in a rematch in March.

It was the third defeat of a career which yielded 36 wins, with the other losses to Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko.

Undisputed world champion Josh Taylor says he has "big-money fights" in the "sexy" welterweight division in his sights as he plots his next moves.

The Scot's unanimous points win over Jose Ramirez in Las Vegas last month made him the first British fighter to hold all four belts in any division.

Taylor, 30, says he has "lots of options" at both light-welterweight and the higher weight grade.

Former heavyweight and cruiserweight champion David Haye is set to return to the ring in September to face Joe Fournier at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles - three years after he retired.

AJ was well beaten. Thought Usyk boxed really well - AJ looks like he's lost loads of power since he first came on the scene. He's over coached now, not sure he is that good technically. He's better when he just uses raw power. Hearn must be rubbing his hands with the rematch!

Joshua was too negative, he needed the KO. He was never going to outbox a great technical boxer like Usyk. Joshua seems more cautious now since he got hurt against Ruiz in New York.
