Thank you to the 96 of you who voted in Round 8!

This round is the play-off and it's a girl group showdown - Girls Aloud vs Spice Girls!! ohmy.gif

Please vote for your favourite song out of the two remaining. The song with the highest votes here will go through to the next round. You have until 23:59 TODAY to vote, so make sure you get your votes in quickly! The songs are posted below, should you need to listen to them again before casting your vote!

Although at various points in the voting it looked like Zara Larsson would scrape through into the play offs, in the end she fell at the last hurdle with her Clean Bandit collaboration Symphony. Nevertheless it's still a fantastic result for Zara to finish in the Top 10 out of 24 artist forums, fending off competition from Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift & P!nk along the way! At the top end of the results it is once again all about our favourite Albanian queens Rita Ora and Dua Lipa, with their hugely successful & popular hits Anywhere & New Rules. Rita triumphed, but only by one vote!

Girls Aloud for me. Goodbye is one of the Spice Girls weakest songs imo.


I really cannot believe that Zara went out automatically with Symphony, I thought that song was adored on here. ohmy.gif Delighted that Kylie was safe though, In Your Eyes is one of my absolute faves of hers.

Yeah. Zara being auto eliminated is a complete shock. I thought she'd be a safe top 3 with Rita and Dua! Really don't know what happened there! ohmy.gif

I suppose it could be the case that Symphony was a 6th or 7th fave for a lot of people. It's tough when you can only select 5 out of 10 songs!

'Sexy No No No' is brash and fun. But I've voted for Spice Girls because it's a meaningful, lovingly-crafted swan song.

Was so glad to open Buzzjack this morning and see 'Sexy! No No No...' had survived by 1 vote!

It's easily my vote here. And yes, I'm shocked how (relatively) poorly 'Symphony' did, as I thought it was one of the most loved songs of 2017 on this site. I just checked and it was #22 on the last Record Of The Decade, in fact. I'm assuming it's due to this game attracting a lot more voters than anything in the chart forum.

Congrats to Zara for making it this far while only scraping the top half of the results once:

Goodbye is one of the few good Spice singles so voting for that
Sexy no no no is terrible, GA at their worst

so really no competition

shocked at Symphony leaving, it got super high in that voting thing of the best #1s ever...

Shame Zara went out on her best song but she wasn't gonna get any higher. Good job from the mods in her finishing in the top 10.

As for the playoff I'm going for spice girls. Goodbye is a pretty average ballad but the GA song is just annoying, really don't get the mass love for it.
