Romania are going for the tried and tested format (erm, Finland calling...it doesn't necessarily work) of selecting one artist, and having them perform five entries. The final is set for March 1st and apparently the public will be back to having a 50% say rather than just 10% tongue.gif

Well, at least you aren't going to get one artist/record label bribing the juries I guess

The five candidates have dropped and it would be conservative of me to say that Romania are not messing about this year. They are all strong but my particular favourite is Alcohol You.

I've only heard the clips so will have to check them out but I'm not particularly taken, all of them sound straight out of songwriting camps in the most meh and generic way possible without a lot of heart or spark to them.

^ Those were my same thoughts when I listened to them all in full! I don't really get the fuss, but after a few listens it turns out that "Cherry Red" is a moderate bop so that or withdraw

I just don't get this really, she's got a great voice but you kind of feel the song building and it never really comes to anything, I'm left wanting more.

Why couldn't she have done this on MelFest? Ugh. AMAZING.

It's SO nice hearing the tracks as they are originally, compared to how she usually switches them up!

EDIT: I also LOVE that she got more time than the actual Romanian entrant did with all of her songs :')
