Dexton's Top 20 (24/10/2017) (Week 24)

Let You Down at #1, but which one?

A different #1 for a fifth week in a row now, with NF's Let You Down debuting at the top spot in the chart. Let You Down is an amazing song wub.gif that is currently rising up Spotify, coming for future UK chart success. It's success here has only just begun. DJ Snake's A Different Way featuring Lauv holds on tight to #2 for a second week whilst Lauv's solo single I Like Me Better drops from the top (1-3). Zayn is also sticking where he is for another week whilst Portugal. The Man's Feel It Still climbs back into the top 5 (6-5).

Feel It Still is my 14th most played track of 2017 and is truly a favourite of mine. In terms of most played, my top 15 songs of this year also contains the likes of Camila Cabello's Havana, Disciples' On My Mind, The Killers' The Man, and Dua Lipa's New Rules as well as some non-charting songs like Blossoms' Blown Rose and Major Lazer's Know No Better.

Surprisingly, a second Let You Down enters my chart this week, Peking Duk featuring Icona Pop at #7. Peking Duk previously made it to #1 with their collaboration with AlunaGeorge, Fake Magic. Will Let You Down be able to reach #1 in the future? Possibly becoming both Peking Duk's second #1 single, and becoming the second #1 song on my chart to be called Let You Down laugh.gif

Further down the chart, Camelphat & Elderbrook's house hit Cola enters at #17 after entering the official UK Top 25 last Friday as the third new entry this week. With Let You Down x2 and Cola entering, we see two long-runners drop out of the Top 20. Dua Lipa's New Rules spent a whopping 13 weeks in the chart, 11 of which were in the Top 10! The Killer's Run For Cover (20-xx) and Lorde's Homemade Dynamite featuring Khalid, SZA, & Post Malone (17-xx) are also out.

There are no new entries to the album chart this week, resulting in both JP Cooper's Raised Under Grey Skies (1-1) and The Killers' Wonderful Wonderful (2-2) holding the Top 2 on lock. There is a shuffle further down, with Avicii's AVICI falling to #5.

Thanks for reading! smile.gif

Hey Dexton!

That's quite strange for two identically titled songs to enter your chart on the same week! I haven't heard either of them but I've heard good things about the NF one so I need to check that out.

'Cola' is a decent new entry, I hated it at first but I don't mind it now, the production is good and it's very catchy!

Good to see 'Dusk Til Dawn' still doing well on your chart.

Can't believe Portgual The Man is finally going to go Top 40 on Friday!

Great stuff smile.gif

Hey Mango!

I wasn't expecting both Let You Down's to enter but last weekend NF just showed up out of nowhere and instantly became a favourite wub.gif Peking Duk are building up quite a catalog of hits for me now, with Fake Magic a former #1 and Stranger (which would have been a #1 if the chart was active in December) and now Let You Down smile.gif

Yes! Me neither, at first I didn't see the appeal in Cola. My first impressions were that it sounded a bit boring and didn't go anywhere, but then the second time I heard it began growing on me and now I know the lyrics laugh.gif

I'm SO happy that Feel It Still went Top 40! dance.gif It's such an amazing song and hopefully goes at least Top 20 in the future. With some radio support I can see it shooting up the charts. It's recently just gone Top 5 both in the US and in Australia so maybe the UK will follow suit?

It's great to see "Cola" debut in your chart, but I'm shocked that "Let You Down" is at #1 in your chart, the track is on every countrys chart (USA, UK, even in Germany).
As for your album chart, it's good, sad that nothing changed, but oh well.
Also I recently updated my own chart, check it out if you haven't!
Hope you have a great week Dexton!

Hi!

Amazing number 1 wub.gif really enjoying it rn and it looks like it's gonna be huge!
In fact, all 3 of the new entries are really great here, especially Cola, hope that can climb!
Feel It Still being your only climber this week! ohmy.gif was so happy to see it make top 40 on friday!
