I know the album sold poorly but I'm still quite surprised by this! |

I'm not a massive fan of Louis, but maybe this could be for the best and he'll get a second wind? Wishful thinking but he'd be on the right track with more songs like Back to You, etc.

I know the album sold poorly but I'm still quite surprised by this! It's not just the album though - none of his last four singles even charted and his last top 40 hit was Miss You. Maybe they could've overlooked the album doing poorly if at least his singles had done well, but neither happened. I also doubt if there's a One Direction reunion that they dropping him will affect it. |

I'm well aware of all of that! That said, his tour is sold out and quite honestly he probably could've done even bigger shows than that, and we know that's where the money really is.
It does seem that Louis and Syco have actually parted ways amicably rather than Louis being dropped, anyway. The fans are very happy he's no longer associated with Syco |

Probably a good move for him to move on from Syco. I wonder how mutual this decision was though. He has been quite the flop and Syco aren't known for being particularly loyal...

Is Lewis the first of One Direction to be dropped (or part ways from his record label)? Has Zayn also been dropped or Liam? To be fair Harry's album is the only one that is achieving success even Niall's second album has bombed.

There's not been any news on Zayn or Liam's record contracts!

The only thing that surprises me is that it took this long.

It will be interesting to see who he signs with next or if he will, I can see him going the tv route, musically just hold on was his best and I would have preferred more like that from him.

I'd be ultra suprised if any other label shows any interest tbh... i thought he was lucky to have Syco.

Yeh I can’t really see him getting much better than Syco tbh
Does SYCO even have artists now? |

Syco just mess artists around.
They often handle an artist's first album very well but lose their way thereafter. They allow no time for artist development which has become their downfall. |

I hate the way syco drop people so quickly and this irritated me alot with many artists who won or came from x factor and i think that was part of the drop in interest for the show.

Louis could do some features to keep his name in the charts.

Interestingly, Simon Cowell has left Syco Music - and now has full ownership in Syco Entertainment (BGT, The X Factor etc).
It will be interesting to see if a different label teams up with The X Factor if there any future series, perhaps they'll be able to turn the show around! |

I would hope a new label could in no way treat the winners any worse.
