So I just finished reading the book and I found out there's no thread for this yet
I'm so excited for this movie, as I loved the previous 2. I did not read any of the books but I really loved the first two movies. I've heard that Mockingjay diverts significantly from the Hunger Games structure and that there aren't any "games" this time around, which I am not sure if I am going to enjoy that.

I think I was in the minority for the last film as I was disappointed that they did the whole Hunger Games thing again. It just felt a bit like a repetition of the first film and I was more interested in what was going on regarding the rebellions/revolution and how the Capitol were trying to stop them. This was without reading the books btw.

Reading the book has for me really made the movie more enjoyable as there were certain parts I for some reason didn't get or didn't see.
Don't get me wrong it's a great movie but the romance of Katniss and Peeta in the 2nd book isn't portrayed as good as it should've been in the movie, hopefully the 3rd and 4th will not disappoint as I loved the book This post has been edited by BarbaricSissyTIM: Apr 23 2014, 07:48 PM |

Really looking forward to this, I'm glad they are steering away from the games this time, it wouldn't have worked them being in it for a 3rd time and I think the 3rd book is really great, not too sure if it needed to be split in two but I'm sure both will still be great.

I made the mistake of watching the first 2 films first. I then read the books and re-watched the films
 then I read Mockingjay and I am so excited!

I'm really interested in how and where they're going to split it. I think there is loads to put in the second movie but I'm not so sure about the first. (Not that I care about them dragging it out, I enjoy getting to savor it for longer)
I finished the book at the end of last year and it's heartbreaking but I was glad that Peeta & Katniss ended up together eventually.

Can't wait for this! I actually loved it as an end to the trilogy, despite it moving away from the games, there's so much action that there's no surprise
I'd definitely recommend reading the books first though, I watched both films with at least one person who hadn't and they were constantly asking stuff, one of my friends is a major Hunger Games fangirl even more than me though

Oh me too! My friend and I actually had a bet on it, I went for Peeta and she for Gale. Thank god Peeta gets the girl, I can't stand Gale SPOILER I felt so bad when Prim died, I really did not want that to happen...
