Sunday Chart Predictions
Predicting the 16/11 to 22/11 chart

Pink Floyd are going out on a sonic high(way)
Last week saw it break the record for most streams in a week, now Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' looks to be returning to #1. However it may not necessarily be an easy ride for him, as this year's John Lewis advert song 'Real Love' by Tom Odell is continuing to grow in popularity and the official Children in Need song - an all star choir version of Avicii's 'Wake Me Up!, put together by Gareth Malone - should experience a boost from both physicals and the show itself on Friday. New entries this week will include The Veronicas' 'You Ruin Me', Kendrick Lamar's 'i' and Sam Smith's 'Like I Can' - the latter following his performance on X Factor yesterday. One Direction also performed 'Steal My Girl' so expect a climb for that, plus for any of the acts performing on, as mentioned, this Friday's Children in Need.

This week's album chart could quite possibly be the biggest of the year, as two massive album sellers go head to head. Pink Floyd return with their first studio album, The Endless River, in over 20 years (and it's rumoured to be Amazon's most pre-ordered album ever, with pre-sales of over 100k!) whilst Foo Fighters release their eighth album Sonic Highways. Other artists that are looking to be big new entries to the Top 10 include Queen's Queen Forever (a greatest hits that is the first to include unreleased material since their last studio album in 1995), Rumer's Into Colour, Cheryl's Only Human and Gareth Brooks' Man Against Machine. Further entries may come from Bryan Adams, Donny Osmond, Hookworms, Machine Head, Royksopp, Whitesnake and Whitney Houston. Also, Paloma Faith re-releases her album A Perfect Contradiction so a return to the Top 10 is possible.

In the compilations, BBC Radio 2's Sound of the 80s and Christmas at Downton Abbey will battle for #1.

Yep I seriously doubt the CIN single will trouble Ed at all now. Going to be a horrific top 10 regardless...

Album chart on paper should be very exciting but I can't see anything other than a nailed on Pink Floyd walkover. Though it'll be great to see hopefully high sales for all the top 5!

Edit: Maybe spoke too soon about CIN?? heehee.gif

I really hope next week will shake up the top 10 with at least 4/5 new entries

This prospect of this weeks singles chart depresses me, I really hope the CIN single at least goes top 10 but other than that...

The album chart looks exciting this week with Foos, Pink Flloyd and Cheryl all looking for a top 10 placing

James Blunt's album Moon Landing also got a special edition release today so that's going probably re-enter the charts as well

Are those wand directions tracks officially released? I didn't see them mentioned on the new releases thread.

Nothing for today then?

Buggeration. It always happens on the rare week I'm REALLY eager for them.

They are official instant grats (so not single releases), preview songs from the upcoming album. If you pre-order the album, you get immediately that track.

It's annoying because The Veronica might have actually been 2 or 3 in today's midweeks and it would have been worth celebrating for a short while. They'll be #4 at the very lowest tomorrow. sad.gif
