So far, it seems the move has been a success!

Murdered By My Father - 1m (as well as 1.1m on BBC One)
Sex In Strange Places (episode 1) - 1m
Life and Death Row (episode 1) - 1m

They probably have a dedicated stream counter - or they just look at traffic stats. The website people have a count on everything more than likely laugh.gif

I'm surprised by those numbers, but then I feel like my personal hatred of streaming/online viewing probably blinds me to the fact EVERYONE IS AT IT.

Those are very impressive figures indeed, didn't expect that! Especially not for Thirteen which got the same amount as the recent Sherlock episode!

I think we need to get used to this. I reckon one of the only reasons online TV isn't the norm now is because some parts of the country are so far behind in broadband speed etc. Even though satellite dishes can receive HD broadcasts it can't go out and request content like you do over broadband....if they fix this then there'd be no need to have channels as such with fixed broadcast times.

Yup, this is exactly why I don't stream anything online. My MAX speed is about 0.25mb/s which is nowhere near enough to stream in decent quality and that's before accounting for anyone else using the internet at the same time.

Oof, that's slow! We're stuck out in the country but are right next to a primary school which seems to give us a better connection than some. Still no more than about 3mb/s though.

Not aware of how Cuckoo used to do on BBC3 but those figures look great! Good news as I need it back for another series, one of my favourite shows these days.

At the end of the BBC1 showing they said it would be back for two more series.

Not surprised to be honest. It's target market is basically millennials who have been behind the drive towards illegal streaming/torrenting/consumption on demand so they would be the ones to take to it fully and embrace the BBC taking a massive stride into the 21st century.
