Here we go... the #1 single looks likely to change yet again, R. City are looking to claim their first #1 with their debut hit 'Locked Away' collaborating with Adam Levine unless Sam Smith manages another week at the top. New entries from Phillip George & Anton Rogers on 'Alone No More', Natalie La Rose on 'Around the World' collaborating with Fetty Wap, The Vamps on 'Wake Up', Tinashe on 'Player' collaborating with Chris Brown, Olly Murs on 'Kiss Me', Miley Cyrus on 'Hands On Love' and probably Jamie Lawson with 'Wasn't Expecting That'.
Rudimental are looking to oust Disclosure from the #1 spot with their brand new studio album 'We The Generation', other new album releases this week from Avicii 'Stories', Janet Jackson 'Unbreakable', Clutch 'Psychic Warfare', Trivium 'Silence in the Snow', Editors 'IN DREAM' and Squeeze 'Cradle to the Grave' all vying for a place inside the top 40 chart.

@MintRoyale: Have The Vamps had a number 1 single before? They look like they could this week.
@MintRoyale: Rudimental look like they'll have a number 1 album at least as big as Disclosure last week. Then it's Editors and Janet.
@MintRoyale: Disclosure down to 10 - honestly think that'll just sink without trace now.
Avicii and Phillip to slay please
Judging by the MASSIVE increases Sam is getting at the moment, my money's on him. The Vamps are only 5k ahead so that lead will be gone in no time.
I don't think the Vamps will get there to be honest, they seem to be 5k clear as it seems, reading between the lines, considering its only 1 day of sales that will soon drop off a fair bit. Sam Smith could still get a second week, just depends on his streaming sales.
Rudimental's album will probably do the same as Disclosure did.
The Vamps don't have a prayer considering they're #12 on iTunes and going down. They just had decent pre-orders.
Wow at Janet at #3! Will likely drop throughout the week but will certainly be a damn sight better than the #63 peaks of her last two studio albums. I believe she is currently touring and, despite flopping, 'No Sleeep' seems to have caught a fair few people's attention which will have no doubt helped.
Yes! That's encouraging for Rudimental then, it would be appalling for Disclosure to get #1 & Rudimental not to. I haven't even listened to either album in full but judging by what's been released so far Rudimental's is leagues better...
Wonder where The Squeeze will enter, looks like Avicci isn't going to be number 2 as I predicted he would bw
I only heard the Sam Smith song today. What an unbearable wailing mess.
Yeah The Vamps definitely won't make #1 but top 10 is looking good, physicals really are a huuuuge help for them.
So happy for Janet's position! Especially since the UK usually ignores her. The album is great!
nick brewer was #2 in last saturday's sales flash, streaming will squeeze the vamps out of the top10 by friday
So happy for Janet! Any position in top ten would be a huge victory
Come on Janet Hope it can stay top 10 (and get the #1 in the US). What an album <3
Mint Royale tweeted a mathematical equation which basically states that the Vamps have sold ~20K so far this week.
Good enough for a Top 10 berth I'd have thought.
Janet down to the late teens with her album
Any chance of Nick Jonas entering the top 40 singles this week?
I'd say it's a two-way fight between Biebs and R City - given the others are doing pretty terrible on streaming. Hope it's Biebs just for the lols of returning to #1 twice.
Looks like Philip George will be the next sales #1 to not make it officially
Has New Order fallen out of the Top 10 also?
How are the Vamps leading the race? They'll lose top 10 on Friday, let alone #1

The Vamps will not miss the top 10 on Friday if they're #1 in the update, what a ridiculous suggestion
So delighted it's looking to give them a sixth consecutive top 10 hit at the very least I hope Radio 1 playlist it soon and it can hang around well!
Great to see Jessie Ware already at #78. Hope she can rise into the top 75 and stay there until friday.
yayy at Stories comfortably top 10 really hope it stays there by the end of the week.
good to see Duke Dumont and MNEK/Zara top 40 in the singles too, both deserve top 40 peaks and Philip George #2 as well! which means it should definitely be another top 10 for him, possibly even top 5?
I wish Phillip George overtaking The Vamps would mean him getting #1 but sadly this probably won't be the case. It has, however, outdone what I initially predicted, low top 10
at Sam Smith finally flopping, but ouch at Nick Brewer and Little Mix's big fall
Hopefully The Duke is in for a top 40 point this week and maybe ZaraNEK; and I'd have that measleyable Watch Me Whip as distant from it as possible. And please tell me Magnets is stream only or something because it's destined to be at least a top 30 hit
Why can't Avicii be #1 on albums this week
Both Little Mix and Nick Brewer have fallen 4 places since Friday's chart, hardly a 'big fall'.
I would imagine there are sales missing as usual from Apple & Spotify, taken them into consideration, it could be anyone within that top 5. The sales gap has to be very close, between the top 5 tracks.
I expected Avicii's album to be #2 with ease this week, very surprised it's not even top 5... though I guess the complete non-happening of 'For A Better Day' hasn't helped it. Great going for Editors so far getting the second highest new entry!
And I spy Sir Joe BonaSMASHa aka Sir Joe BonaMASSIVE at #39 in the album mids *.*
That top 5 could end up in the complete opposite order by Friday! What a notion...
I can't wait to see the total #1 sales for the week, probably looking less than 50k, I really don't want Justin Bieber crawling back to #1, horrific chart run.
Oh my god that Avicii album is bombing spectacularly compared to True... And it's not going to open with 20k in the US
First Nero, now Avicii.. Glad Rudimental are still doing well.
can we not compare Avicii to Nero though? they completely missed the top 20 whereas Avicii will probably have another top 10
of course Stories wasn't going to do as well as True, there's no denying he's not as popular in 2015, but he's still doing very well for himself.
Not comparing really, just stating that both are struggling compared to previous era.
I had David Guetta and Avicii mixed up in my head the whole way through this thread.
Avicii How on earth is it behind an ancient Ed Sheeran album? So it probably won't even shift 10k on its opening week - absolutely dire.
Interesting battle on the singles chart, any of 2-5 in the update could end up at #1, although possibly more likely the songs at 3-5 as Alone No More's streaming is weak.
I was thinking more about how is a well stocked brand new album by a major artist languishing behind an album that's been selling less than 10k a week consistently for the past few months. I thought Avicii would manage a 15k opening at least, even that would have been majorly down on his last opening sale.
lol at Miley Cyrus flopping at #86. She won't be top 100 on Friday.
whoooosssh
lmaooooo Hadji
on topic; Editors doing very well so far! didn't think they had enough hype around them to perhaps reach the Top 5
Big falls for Chvrches and Shane Filan, strange to see Garbage back in at 74, it is the google offer? Had hoped Avicii would go top 5 but ill settle for top 10 as while im still enjoying his material there is no denying his popularity has waned, but he is still doing well.
I really hope Janet Jackson can stay top 10 but its unlikely but at the worst her position is far better than her previous releases. Sales were so much better when she last released so im thinking, will she gain much of an increase?, anyone know opening sales of her previous albums??
Was shocked to see the Vamps number 1 but i dont mind them at all and i hope they hold on in the top 10 which i think they will manage comfortably.
How is "Around the World" #7 in the chart update?! It's #6 on iTunes and not even in the Top 100 on Spotify. How is it that high?!
Pre-orders and probably some missing streaming data!
Its a shame Garbage haven't done better with the 20th anniversary edition, as so many albums have done so much better when re-released like that.
Surely Nick Jonas is close to the top 40 this week ... Still climbing iTunes!
I wouldn't be surprised if The Vamps have slipped to #5 in today's midweeks (not that we're guaranteed to get them), the OCC revealed that only 2k copies were separating the top 5 yesterday I'm definitely thinking Justin Bieber will make it by Friday, to get that third stint at #1 *.*
C'mon Bieber, get that joint record (3 terms @ #1)

Oh I was right about Wake Up falling to #5 Interested to see its sales ~
I guess Phillp George falling to #3 is not too shabby.
Would like to know the position of STORIES by Avicii in the album chart if/when the info is available
Ah you've edited it, #6 hope it falls no further than #8 if possible.
Eek, I can see Natalie peaking at 12/11 then :'( But it's done rather well and hopefully will stick around for a few weeks.
Runnin' is gonna climb this week!
Shame for Philip, although not surprising. Weird to have another song looking to go to No.1 three times, it doesn't really seem like as much as an achievement as Happy seeing as it almost certainly won't be No.1 on sales and is just taking advantage of no major releases being around to stop it raking in the streams.
Its all about the top 4 now, love to see R. City on top, but it seems Justin Bieber is selling 4k more than R. City for yesterday, not forgetting there is a load of stream sales still missing.
The Vamps are looking in danger of possibly missing the top 10... they might just about hang on but only at #9/10 at best I think. Will be far higher on sales of course.
Avicii's album looking on course to finish at #9.
The Vamps have such a horrible track record on iTunes. If we were still in the days of physical only charts like how it was in the 1990's then probably all of their singles would be #1's.
At the risk of this being asked before, why is 'Firestone' back? Pretty amusing that it's above the two singles that succeeded it.
are duran duran still in top 100 ?thanks
Do you know Naughty Boy's position?
A remix (I think) of 'Firestone' is used on an advert.
If it ain't X Factor, it's an advert.
Can I know what is at #6 on the singles please? I think Mr Smith will overtake Phillip but obviously not the Vamps.
Actually, just done some calculations, if everything sold the same for the rest of the week, The Vamps would be #11. Oops. So gonna expect around #14 with missing streaming data added in. Could be worse considering it's OA/OS I guess. (Natalie would be #12)
It looks like Apple Music is now worse than Spotify, they are now always 2 days behind while Spotify only 1 day
I don't really get why it's so difficult to provide data in time
Is it more complex for streaming?
May I ask where Jessie Ware's "Say You Love Me" is? Hopefully climbed a bit.
Philip George doing really well in the singles, I prefer it to the tracks above it but I won't moan too much. I really hope 'Ocean Drive' can hold onto the Top 40, it's too good to miss the Top 40 entirely! Glad it's doing better than 'The Giver', regardless, though!
I also have everything crossed that Editors cling onto #2 in the albums, 'Life Is a Fear' is my second favourite single by them now (after the glorious 'Papillon')!
good to see Justin Bieber holding off R. City from the top, would be great to see another song have 3 separate runs at #1! Also the song is a lot better than Locked Away, I hope that doesn't peak at #1 but I imagine it will climb there next week as I can't see Ben Haenow or Olly Murs debuting at #1.
Also loving seeing Philip George comfortably top 5 and ahead of The Vamps
I wish people would stop giving that idiot JB the attention he craves
Phillip George is the sales #1 on ~23.2K so far, selling approx 4K/day.
Looks like he may not get that ICONIC lowest sales #1* of the 2010s. : (
*FTR - It is currently 28,408 for the fourth week (second at sales #1) for Justin Bieber's “What Do You Mean?”.
Good grief.
(not at you Doctor Blind)
Where's Drag Me Down, Joseph? Infinity is out of the top 100 already? #scared
Could someone tell me where's "How Deep Is Your Love"? Thanks!
Well “Happy” also had 3 runs at #1, and also knocked Sam Smith off the #1 to get there for a 3rd time so the parallels are there..
The others to spend 3 runs at #1 in the same chart run: Guy Mitchell “Singing The Blues” (1956) and Frankie Laine “I Believe” (1953)
^Probably in some kind of nirvana where number 1s were allowed to stay at number 1 for more than 1 week and stupid comments were banned.
Is the new track by Editors being played on any radio stations?
Where are Black Magic and Love Me Like You?
I'm so happy to see Duke Dumont sneaking into the top 40, just hope he can hold on and grab a week on Friday...
And loving the fact that Philip George is at 3 ahead of Sam and The Vamps
Shame Bieber's back at number one...awful top 2 this week
thanks! looks like love me like you won't reach top 20 until an x factor performance!

Is HDIYL still in the Top 10?
It's #9 now, Natalie's fallen behind!
If everything sells the same tomorrow, The Vamps will be down to #8, they're only ~4k ahead of #10 right now. #12 on Friday although a bit lower with missing streaming added in.
Hope Drake breaks the top 10 and Duke Dumont hangs on!
where are little mix in this update please?
@ Steve - Drake will almost certainly be top 10, both Natalie and The Vamps will fall out! Could be touch and go for Duke though.
Prob last week Duke has a chance as radio 1 playlist has stopped this week.
So Drake slowly climbing up the chart and will replace a held back Natalie song most likely in the top 10 on Friday, says it all about release strategies.
JB increasing his lead when he's falling on iTunes
not to bad for Little Mix then. I'm annoyed Justin will be back at #1 this week although its much better than Locked Away
Jamie Lawson's position please?
Drake for top 10 please this Friday!!!
We have an update, but I can't be arsed as I got million things to do for tomorrow's new chart if the site doesn't go tits up tomorrow, anyho, swinging the mids to another chart mods.

Philip George should end up at #4 then, that's an amazing result!!
really, really hoping that Avicii holds on to the top 10 tomorrow.
I think Avicii will hold on but just about - the albums just outside the top 10 aren't selling enough to overtake him. I think he'll be overtaken by James Bay and end up at #10!
Jamie Lawson MAY just about make the top 40, hard to call. Won't be too far off if not though.
Let's hope Jamie Lawson can scrape the top 40 tomorrow. JB still increasing his lead when he's falling on iTunes (now down to #6)
The Smithmeister looks set to overtake Phillip to #4 then looking at those sales which is still not too shabby.
Good to see Avicii is still in for a chance of top 10 this week.
Philip George will definitely be a sales #1 and it's a shame Natalie La Rose is out of the top 10
Hope Duke Dumont holds on!
Or maybe because Ocean Drive is a fab title
