Wait so he’ll be disqualified because of this?? Or is that just that those purchases won’t count towards the charts? He only started the competition today so I don't think that these purchases (for the competition) will count. He'll still chart though. The Chemical Brothers were ineligible to chart because all of their copies gave buyers a chance to win an iPad - this isn't the case for KSI since the competition only started a couple of hours ago. He'll get 2nd. |

So's cheating Mariah out of Xmas #1 so the OCC themselves set the precedent!

If they disqualified those sales, they would have had to have disqualified all of Dua Lipa's 1st week sales from her store too as all those purchases also gave you entry into a competition.
And a competition on Twitter is how Stormzy got his first top 40. If I remember correctly you could win trainers if you downloaded WickedSkengMan 4. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples too. |

Actions which will be considered a breach of these rules include:
f) procuring the sale and/or consumption of an album in conjunction with a non-related or excessive gift, i.e. which gives the consumer a product, voucher or benefit or anything else which is either unrelated to the album concerned or of a value in excess of the normal retail price of the album without that gift, and where it is not an album and merchandise package as outlined in section 8.0. 8.0. Album & Merchandise Packages Boxed packages are subject to an increased minimum dealer price against the standard version of an album. For low value items such as wristbands, badges, patches, key ring, or similar the boxed package will be subject to a minimum 20% uplift above the dealer price of the full price standard album format. For high value items such as t-shirts or similar the boxed package will be subject to a minimum 80% uplift above the dealer price of the full price standard album format. Added value items must be packaged with the album and must be clearly related to the artist or artist brand. In the case of non-artist albums merchandise may be label or brand related. The album and merchandise package must carry a unique barcode to that of the standard (or any other) version of the album. Tickets for live events and access ‘experiences’ e.g. meet and greet are not eligible to be packaged within Album & Merchandise packages. |

> quoting OCC rules as if they mean anything
I'd be shocked if the OCC cared enough to bother excluding these sales. I know they have in the past but yeah, the more recent examples Lewis gave they didn't do so. |

See Dua's was relevant to the album whereas KSI is offering excessive gifts!
I really hope they do something. |

I will HOWL if KSI gets excluded from the chart.
Rain On Me all but guaranteed the #1 though. IT'S COMING DOWN ON ME. Best non-Shallow GAGA single since The Edge Of Glory. |

It's a Japanese bonus track from Glory that's getting a streaming release here.

I'd say 99% chance the OCC don't DSQ KSI, they even interviewed him not so long ago and I'm sure they don't want a barrage of negative tweets from him and his fans.
