Yay I guessed right, 'Thor: The Dark World' isn't a bad movie, it is pretty decent and lands about the right place here, I'd say. It's hard to say which is gonna drop out next, considering how strong the remaining ones left are. Maybe the first Captain America film or the first Thor movie, I'd predict might drop next.

I honestly see Thor 2 as an improvement on the first.

----Film Rate----

#9 Iron Man // 7.64
Highest: SamJudd, DJHazey, Ultraviolence1989 (10)
Lowest: Regina (3)

Here's the one that started it all! When it first came out, I think it was a bit of a surprise hit critically as well as commercially. I think most people were buying into RDJ's charisma as Tony Stark, rather than the actual film though, which I always found somewhat overrated.

----Character Rank----

#23 // Pepper Potts // Score 14
(14 points from DJHazey)

Here we have the famous Pepper, Iron Man's main love interest portrayed by Gwyneth Paltrow. She's been in all three Iron Man films and also made an appearance in the original Avengers film, which I really appreciated, as I feel like it grounded the films somewhat and helped us believe the characters weren't just tacked together and fell seamlessly into "The Avengers".

#21 // Peggy Carter // Score 17
(8 points from Iz)

Star of her own TV spin off Agent Carter, Peggy first appeared as Steve Rogers (AKA Captain America)'s love interest in the first Captain America film. Though very popular her TV show has now been cancelled, and lives on only in ours and Steve's memories.

#21 // Maria Hill // Score 17
(12 points from Regina)

Hugely underrated, Maria is an integral role to the Avengers, she's smart, funny and kick ass. She's appeared in The Avengers, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Age of Ultron and has her stand out scenes in The Winter Soldier, where she comes to the rescue of Black Widow and Cap.

#20 // Nebula // Score 20
(10 points from DJHazey)

Taking us into the top 20 and completing the set of 4 ladies, is Nebula, who picked up quite a few trickle points along the way. I, personally don't really remember her at all, which goes to show that I really need a re-watch of Guardians of the Galaxy.

'Iron Man' is amazing. But I have a soft spot for it mainly down to that being the first movie to make me a believer of Superhero films. It really started a movement! I rewatched it before 'Age Of Ultron' and it's aged magnificently, imo.

Also, I definitely didn't give Pepper Potts 14 points (or any points for that matter kink.gif). Aww. Maria <3 Forgot to add her actually!

Can't believe I forgot about Maria as well! Hopeless.

Surprised Age of Ultron has outlasted Iron Man, and Dark World.

Now this is quite a surprise, thought that 'Iron Man' would have ranked much higher, just goes to show how strong these movies are. 'IM' perfectly kicked off this amazing universe and Jon Favreau's insistence on casting Robert Downey Jr as the title character was a stroke of genius, and honestly can't imagine anyone else in this part. I really enjoyed this at the time and still do. With a lesser actor then this wouldn't have worked at all. I mean imagine if Tom Cruise was Iron Man, which could have happened as he had the rights to it for years, I just don't think he would have captured the character very well and just made it another generic action movie.

----Film Rate----

#8 Captain America: The First Avenger // 7.69
Highest: Regina (10), DJHazey (10)
Lowest: Ultraviolence1989 (5)

I'd say this is quite easily the most forgettable of the Captain America films, but as an origin story it did a decent job of setting up the characters and story arches for Steve, Bucky & Peggy. I do think the most exciting part of the film is the end when he wakes up in the future and is being called to help the Avengers by Nick Fury.

----Character Rank----

#18 // Kilgrave // Score 25
(13 points from Froot)

#18 // Sam Wilson / Falcon // Score 25
(8 points from DJHazey)

#17 // Jessica Jones // Score 35
(14 points from Severin)

#16 // Nick Fury // Score 42
(14 points from Iz)

I really like the first Captain Am. Definitely my favourite origin story, movie. I really don't understand the general disdain that it gets.

The Cap films have been the most consistanly brilliant set of Marvel movies tbh. Not only keep true to the comics but brining it to the modern day and tieing it into
the MCU.

Let's hope they don't go down the current comic route though kink.gif

Jessica Jones is far too low.

Easily the most complex and nuanced character in the MCU.

No kink.gif but it'll obviously be amazing because of Sebby.

I guess a lot less people have seen Jessica Jones as they have the films, I know that is the reason for me.

The Netflix show characters were all absent from my list, because I completely didn't think about them due to the "Cinematic" part of the title haha. Not your fault though Joe, as you did clearly state in the opening post! Haha. sad.gif

Jessica, Daredevil, Kilgrave and Fisk would all have featured in my top 15, for sure!

----Film Rate----

#7 Ant-Man // 7.88
Highest: Joe (9.5), Froot (9.5)
Lowest:

Here we have, for me, the biggest surprise of all the Avengers films. I was not in the slightest bit excited about Ant-Man, but it's charm and wit got to me immediately. I think what a lot of people appreciated was that it was the antithesis of Age of Ultron which people criticised for being too over the top and souless. Ant-Man is personable, with a tight storyline and a small cast of brilliantly developed and written characters. It doesn't take itself too seriously, but is just serious enough to fit in with the rest of the franchise and still feels very much a part of the MCU, with plenty of tie-ins with the Avengers. I'm really glad this is as high as #7 here. I'd say it was in about the right place though (I'd personally put Thor 2 above it and Age of Ultron below it).

(genuinely excited for Ant-Man and the Wasp! Slay me Wasp!

----Character Rank----

#15 // Bruce Banner / Hulk // Score 44
(11 points from Jonjo)

We're in the big leagues now, starting with the Hulk, who has been played in his human form by Mark Ruffalo and Ed Norton and is voiced in the Hulk form by Lou Ferrigno in every film that features the character from the franchise.

#14 // Gamora // Score 45
(11 points from Ultraviolence1989)

Next we have the only female Guardian of the Galaxy, Gamora. I really think she should have been a big higher and am hoping she can make her mark a bit more in the next GoTG film.

#14 // Clint Barton / Hawkeye// Score 59
(11 points from Iz)

And bringing the scores up by quite a bit is Hawkeye, who's outdone my expectations, due to being commonly known as the most beige Avenger. Sure, his subplot in Age of Ultron was unneeded, I agree with that, but his return in Civil War was epic and he's always been one to give the goods in the action sequences.

Predictions as to which two heroes (or villains?) missed the top 10?
