THE COI TOP 40 - 30 August 2019


This week marks exactly one year since this chart was first published! The number one was Darkside by Alan Walker, Au/Ra and Tomine Harket, which interestingly remains the most successful song in the chart during these 12 months. Ariana Grande & Social House have spent the last two weeks at number two but will they climb to the top, or will Post Malone and Young Thug stay at number one for a fifth non-consecutive week?

Arcodesia's BJSC 117 entry from Tall Ships comes into the chart this week, and there are four more new entries lower down. One of them is a track from Friendly Fires that has been in the top 100 for a while but finally reaches the top 40 this week, and the same can be said for You Little Beauty which becomes Fisher's second chart hit. This week's other new entries come from Active Child and a collaboration between Tkay Maidza and JPEGMAFIA.

still not keen on the new Fisher track sadly. Losing It seems to be very much be a one-off so far..
great to see XTC climbing still though too slowly! it's a serious challenger for my #1 this week.
Orange Heart is a nice top 10 addition and your BJSC entry is alright too.

Congrats on a year coi!

Meditations on Loss is an interesting one, I really like the song but the lyrics are... definitely not me Struggling on where to place it in terms of points really!

Giving Awake a listen now, yeah not my thing Sounds like something I'd expect to hear on Bré's chart!

Giving Silhouettes a listen as well - this is more like it! Very typical of the new Friendly Fires songs, sounding good!

I thought the same at first but I like it now, still agree that Losing It was definitely better.

Thanks! Wow, I'm surprised you like Meditations On Loss really! Awake is indeed something you can find on Bré's chart, and Silhouettes is probably my favourite of the new Friendly Fires songs.
