Eh, there's a lot of blah songs that'll obviously get through in here. I say let's start a REVOLUTION. Against... well, you know my targets.
Gimme your votes gimme ALL OF YOUR VOTES!
Just did!
J'ai voté.

Last minute call for votes!
Results will be later tonight - after I redo the spreadsheet that I forgot to save!
Ya know what, y’all can have an extra day due to...persisting technical issues!
Thanks for the three extra sets of votes I got overnight - voting is now OFFICIALLY closed - results imminent!
QUALIFIER #1
Malta 2019
Michela - Chameleon
So your current reigning Buzzvision champion makes it over the hurdle of the Semi Finals. Who knows what could have been had this not been sacrificed in the opening slot, but hopefully this is something Malta can build on for Rotterdam 2020, surely it's their........Destiny!
Not absolutely essential, but a decent start! Let's see if things hold up
QUALIFIER #2
Cyprus 2012
Ivi Adamou - La La Love
One pop banger that wasn't deterred by the opening slot in this contest is everyone's second favourite song from ESC 2012 "La La Love". I like to think that La La Love walked so that F***o could run...but more on that either next week or the week after that.
QUALIFIER #3
Ukraine 2013
Zlata Ognevich - Gravity
Next through is the very subtle and understated power ballad from Ukraine in 2013 that definitely isn't reminiscent of the Lion King. But if Malmo had Tel Aviv level of graphics then just imagine how much more https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1tqLRx-F6A it could have been!
La La Love > Fuego
QUALIFIER #4
Australia 2016
Dami Im - Sound Of Silence
Another well regarded qualifier makes it through in "Sound of Silence" that could've gone all the way if it weren't for that damn stupid better and more dramatic voting system!
QUALIFIER #5
Spain 2012
Pastora Soler - Quédate Conmigo
Well this is turning into quite a power ballad love-in isn't it? Queen of the hearts of those annoying Spanish eurogays pleading ballad and glass shattering high notes makes it in to the final.
Quédate Conmigo > Sound Of Silence
I can take the hate!
I made a quick prediction of the 10 to make it through when voting earlier, and I'm 5/5 so far. 3/5 in terms of songs I voted for, I find Chameleon quite overrated here.
GRAVITY on the other hand, for something that should sound dated, somehow sounds just as incredible if not more so listening to it now. Along with Shady Lady, one of my favourite Ukranian entries ever.
QUALIFIER #6
Austria 2016
ZOE - Loin D'ici
Speaking of gays, the little OGAE fave that could, could! After this surprise smash, she then went on to bankroll the San Marino selection in 2017 so she also, in effect, gave us "it's me Jenny B, what you get is what you see!" - make this woman a dame!
Oh YAY, hadn't quite predicted that, a pleasant surprise
QUALIFIER #7
France 2016
Amir - J'ai Cherché
Oh yeah...and that OTHER French song from 2016 also makes it through. Amir kicked off the mini semi-revival that France are still in the midst of by achieving the best French result since 2002. Also our first Male soloist to qualify from Semi 2!
FINALLY something that I *really* care about is through The last qualifiers better all hit the mark because this hasn't gone as smoothly as last week where my top 4 all progressed
QUALIFIER #8
Israel 2018
Netta - Toy
Not a big surprise here! We knew the first time we saw her mash up Tik Tok and Gangnam Style that Netta was a firecracker just ready to explode on the Eurovision stage and boy did she deliver in a victory that will surely be one of the winners that stands the test of time.
Is Molly about to become the most robbed UK entry of all time once again
Surely Blanche and Eric Saade are both in
QUALIFIER #9
Sweden 2011
Eric Saade - Popular
HE WAS POPULAR! But not quite enough to get the victory in 2011, allegations of vote buying and "please stay with us" jury directives notwithstanding (lets go with "moral victor" or 2011) but we've still seen fit to send Eric through to the final 40.
So, one spot left...who's our lucky number 10?
QUALIFIER #10
Belgium 2017
Blanche - City Lights
And our final spot goes to the complete polar opposite of Netta in 2018, the quiet, unassuming vulnerability that many feared would crumble under pressure of the 2017 contest but BOOM fourth place! I never doubted you for a second Blance! (apart from the thirty seconds between the ninth and tenth qualifiers in that semi were announced).
10 38
11 37 Sweden 2015 - Heroes
12 34 Lithuania 2016 - I've Been Waiting For This Night
13 30 Turkey 2010 - We Could Be The Same
14 30 Montenegro 2013 - Igranka
15 29 Azerbaijan 2011 - Running Scared
16 26 Norway 2014 - Silent Storm
17 24 United Kingdom 2014 - Children Of The Universe
18 22 Belarus 2017 - Story Of My Life
19 20 Israel 2014 - Same Heart
20 19 Greece 2014 - Rise Up
21 14 Denmark 2011 - New Tomorrow
22 13 Denmark 2010 - In A Moment Like This
23 7 Belarus 2013 - Solayoh
24 6 Bulgaria 2011 - Na inat
25 6 Italy 2012 - L'amore e femmina (Out Of Love)
On the whole a very solid set of qualifiers, sad for Molly and Chanee and N'evergreen but I didn't lose any of my big hitters from this semi.
Phew, that's half of my top 10 through in total by the end. And I never realistically expected Donny to survive.
Wait.....Running Scared came higher than Molly?!?!?
AND I OOP. I swapped Donny to 5pts and Mans to 4pts at the last minute cos I thought Donny needed the help more.
05.Lithuania 2016: Donny Montell - I've Been Waiting For This Night
04. Sweden 2015: Mans Zelmerlow - Heroes
01.Greece 2014: Freaky Fortune feat. Riskykidd - Rise Up
were my misses~
So I just lost my entire top six.
At least the rest went pretty well.
