Racing Point team owner Lawrence Stroll wants his outfit to use Formula 1's planned 2021 overhaul to become "one of the greatest teams in the paddock". I want he's having to drink.

Sam Bird: “I didn’t know Max Verstappen was here. Formula E shouldn’t be a punishment to attend."

I’d quite like it to be Haas or Racing Point. Or a Red Bull team.

It will be Williams though. I don’t see anything over the winter or from the end of last season that would suggest that they’ll turn things around.

I don’t think it’ll necessarily be Williams - I just think they got the 2018 car so wrong. It really could be any of them from 5th downwards last season. It also depends which engine is strongest and weakest this year. Last year Ferrari took a huge step up which meant Force India and Williams were worse off for that too.

Sauber will be rebranded as Alfa Romeo Racing from the start of the 2019 season.

Alfa Romeo was last on the Formula 1 grid as a constructor in 1985 but returned to the sport last season as Sauber's title sponsor.

It's like a shite, half-arsed version of the Lotus-Renault colour scheme. Which is fitting for Haas given their half-arsed approach to being a constructor in F1 and their half-arsed approach to the truth "close battle for 4th" = actually 30pts behind 4th and they were only 5th because Force India (true holders of 5th) had their points wiped mid-season.

Every time I think i can't stand Force India, up pop Haas with some bullshit to remind me that they're worse in every way.
