Mel C's two best. She neeever came close to them again. It was an absolute 2000s MOMENT. If she kept up the quality, she woulfa been the female Robbie.

I've gone for I Turn To You, as it is THAT BOP.

I agree that the quality of her outputs, plus her being so late to release Reason, where her main issues after Norther Star. Reason killed her career, unfortunately, for good.

The long gap between northern star and reason didnt help at all as the momentum was lost which is a shame as I loved reason and thought it was a brilliant follow up.

Reason was definitely a lacklustre album to follow with however Yeh Yeh Yeh had potential as the lead single. Here It Comes Again is a good song but too middle of the road.

I woulda released YYY as lead, but even the lyrics are still a massive step down.

"Yeh yeh yeh I'm on a mission. Yeh yeh yeh, if you with me raise a hand" :/

I voted for 'I Turn To You'.
'I Turn To You' has great remixs, there is so many of them. The music video is awesome. And the Acoustic/electric version during the Live Hits DVD was amazing.

I think it was the gap which ultimately killed Melanie's solo career, she should have had Reason ready to release in 2001.

It didn't help that she went from such a diverse album to a very soft album afterwards either to be fair. If she had followed up with The Sea in 2001 I'm convinced we would have seen a very different career path for Melanie in the UK.
