Pink's 15 best songs ranked: which pop-rock hit is our No.1?

Since her 2000 debut single 'There You Go', Pink has released an impressive 35 singles across her 16-year career so far.

It has seen the singer-songwriter - real name Alecia Moore - become one of the most successful female stars in the world, selling out arenas the globe over.

But with so many hit singles to choose from, which of Pink's greatest anthems have we declared our favourite? Check out our Top 15 ranking below.

15. 'STUPID GIRLS'

Released: February 7, 2006 • UK chart peak: No.4

2006 marked the height of Hollywood's plastic obsession. Paris Hilton was queen of the socialite scene, strutting around with her minute chihuahua, while Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan were not far behind. Although Pink would never admit who this song is about, it's clear from the lyrics and music video that it's her reaction to their clique. Think of her as the Janis Ian of pop, squaring off against Regina George's Plastics.

14. 'SOBER'

Released: November 3, 2008 • UK chart peak: No.9

Following the carefree attitude of 'So What', Funhouse's second cut 'Sober' heard Pink clean up her act entirely. Inspired by Pink feeling great about not having drunk a drop of booze at her own house party, the power-pop anthem didn't impress critics at the time, but its soaring chorus ultimately proved popular.

13. 'WHO KNEW'

Released: May 18, 2006 • UK chart peak: No.5

Out of all of Pink's tear-jerkers, this one is up there amongst the most emotional. The track is about her childhood friend who died of a heroin overdose aged 14, but the star has said herself that as time has gone on it's taken on new meanings. It's a testament to her smart songwriting ability.

12. 'TROUBLE'

Released: September 8, 2003 • UK chart peak: No.7

This Grammy-winning song amped up Pink's switch to pop-rock, hardening her already bad-ass persona even further. Not mention that's a young Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) smashing her over the head with a glass bottle in the music video, as well as the Pussycat Dolls (minus Scherzy) can-can-ing on the bar before they became a pop force themselves.

11. 'TRY'

Released: October 19, 2012 • UK chart peak: No.8

This is about as power ballad as you get with Pink, but her raspy rock voice really shines over the airy guitars and driving beat. But it's the music video which really makes this song. Easily one of the demanding Pink has ever done, it's also the most beautiful.

10. 'MOST GIRLS'

Released: September 19, 2000 • UK chart peak: No. 5

Pink's R&B beginnings are often overlooked, but 2000's 'Most Girls' heard her basically be a one-woman TLC. The Babyface production is pure turn-of-millennium brilliance with its jumpy beats, operatic coos and Pink's light ad-libs. Oh and as for those fierce dance moves, we kind of wish Pink would bring them back again at some point.

9. 'FEEL GOOD TIME'

Released: June 20, 2003 • UK chart peak: No.3

One of her most underrated hits, 'Feel Good Time' saw Pink's brand of pop-punk lightened up with some '60s-inspired beach-pop produced by William Orbit. The track was co-written by Beck for his own album, but he eventually let Pink have it after she asked to record it.

8. 'GET THE PARTY STARTED'

Released: October 9, 2001 • UK chart peak: No.2

Widely considered as one of Pink's signature songs, 'Get The Party Started' bridged the gap between the star's more R&B-focussed breakthrough to the heavier, guitar-infused anthems she'd later go on to do. It became her biggest hit at the time, setting up one her most successful albums, Missundaztood. What's more, you know you've got a timeless party-starter in your repertoire when Dame Shirley Bassey covers it.

7. 'DON'T LET ME GET ME'

Released: February 19, 2002 • UK chart peak: No.6

This was the moment Pink declared herself apart from the business of becoming a pop princess, turning up the guitar amps and letting her soulful husk soar. "Tired of being compared / To damn Britney Spears," she bemoans on the track – and do you know what? It never ever happened again.

6. 'SO WHAT'

Released: August 11, 2008 • UK chart peak: No.1

What initially started off as a joke in the studio with Max Martin went on to become one of Pink's most famous hits. It's biggest charm is her self-awareness, poking fun at her own rocky relationship with her husband Carey Hart. Instead of going in and creating a big 'poor me' ballad, she instead opted for the "f**k it" route and embraced her rock-star lifestyle. Driving a lawnmower down Sunset Boulevard is still up there with one of her finest moments.

5. 'JUST GIVE ME A REASON'

Released: February 26, 2013 • UK chart peak: No.2

By stripping away the drama that is usually wrapped up within her most emotional songs, Pink reduced 'Just Give Me A Reason' to its lullaby-like refrain that made a much grander impact. Fun. frontman Nate Reuss is on hand to give the track its conversational quality, as they deal with holding on to a relationship that is quickly falling apart.

4. 'RAISE YOUR GLASS'

Released: October 6, 2010 • UK chart peak: No.13

Everyone likes an underdog, but when paired with a bursting chorus for all the "dirty little freaks", Pink created the ultimate anthem for anyone who feels like an outcast. Considering it came out as the Glee generation learned to embrace all their differences, it naturally (and rightfully) struck a chord with the public and climbed to No.1 in the US.

3. 'F**KIN PERFECT'

Released: December 14, 2010 • UK chart peak: No.10

While 'F**kin Perfect' is some of the lightest music production Pink has ever put out (borderline fringing upon country in some parts), its sentiment is quite clearly some of her most serious. If the lyrics didn't spell it out the the accompanying music video certainly did with scenes tackling depression, self-harm and suicide. Powerful stuff.

2. 'FAMILY PORTRAIT'

Released: December 17, 2002 • UK chart peak: No.11

It doesn't get much more raw than 'Family Portrait'. Pink has a reputation for being starkly honest in her songwriting, and so re-living the affects her parents divorce had on her as a child resonated with millions of other families who have been through the same suffering. However, it took Pink's mother a while to be able to listen to the song. "She went to the National Enquirer." Pink recalled. "We laugh about it now but it wasn't the best way to address family problems."

1. 'JUST LIKE A PILL'

Released: June 10, 2002 • UK chart peak: No.1

It's crazy to think this was released over 14 years ago now, helping Pink climb to the top of the UK singles chart for the second time in her career. Doubling as a soft-rock ode to escaping a painful relationship as well as Pink's documented issues with drug abuse, it's wrapped up in a pop hook that bites with its "bitch" snarl and addictive refrain.
