Take Me To Church is finally top 10 on its 16th week in the top 40 so does this mean he's now broken the record for the longest ascent to the top 10?

It matches the same amount of weeks to go top 10 as well as Thinking out Loud. Which was obviously very recently. very impressive.

Thinking Out Loud went to #10 on its 16th week top 40 so Take Me To Church has matched the record (and beaten it in terms of weeks top 75/100)

Take Me To Church is finally top 10 on it's 16th week in the top 40 so does this mean he's now broken the record for the longest ascent to the top 10? As mentioned below, equalled the record for a single chart run, but "Dancing In The Moonlight" by Toploader spent 16 weeks (in 2 runs) in the Top 40 before reaching Number 8. |
