So this is on like 95% on RT AND the reviews have put J Lo (!!!) in Oscar contention!! She's supposed to be THAT good.

I wasn't interested but 5 stars from Empire and the good reviews all around have me intrigued! The trailer is supposed to be a lie and the movie is supposedly so much better than that would suggest!

I thought the trailer looked good in itself anyway!! So excited, I love a good J.Lo film and I adore Keke Palmer - really looking forward to this wub.gif

The best film of the year so far! Amazing, Constance and J.Lo are stars but I love Keke too.

So so funny with tense drama too and a good overall message. The soundtrack is on POINT too, I screamed when Gimme More came on.

It was good. Over hyped, but good. A 3 and a half out of 5 kinda film for me (maybe that'll change on a repeated watch - which is what I will do - I don't know). But I feel like it's just a normal hustling film with strong and solid performances and I feel majority (not all, I know y'all love it genuinely etc.. laugh.gif) of the hype surrounding it is that it's "a lot better than expected" and it's just taken people (critics) by surprise etc..

SO much better than Oceans 8 though.

I really enjoyed this but I think it’s a shame they went with Cardi B, she was dreadful and really cheapened the film. Constance and JLo were brilliant and omg Keke Palmer of ‘My Jeans’ fame is amazing!!

I feel like Pitbull could’ve had the Usher cameo role and it still would’ve worked the same, but been a lot more iconic in the process sad.gif

So I went to see this with my grandma laugh.gif Not necessarily a picture of the year but I was certainly impressed, the story was good and all of the acting was great. I absolutely loved the soundtrack as well!!

I don't think so, that scene was set in 2008 iirc and he wasn't hugely popular yet...unless you're saying just change that scene to 2010, in which case yes *.*

Who would’ve been focusing on the year, it would’ve been Pitbull and J-Lo living it up together!!!
