It could be argued that it being an “Amazon Original” exclusive new release meant that it ultimately stood to receive more attention than it might have done if it’d been an ordinary release across all platforms. Amazon went all out with promoting it to ensure that many people would become aware of its existence (certainly Amazon’s users, but also beyond that - for instance there were billboards that cross-promoted Cozy Little Christmas and Alexa).
I don’t think it’s worth entertaining the idea of it becoming widely available tbh. It belongs to Amazon and I’d be surprised if the exclusivity deal was solely for one year, but I suppose time will tell. |

Even if it is widely available Spotify won't be putting it in their playlists because they're salty about songs that are initially exclusive to other platforms (see Katy's own 'Rise') so it ultimately won't affect her chart position much.
Don't like the song though so hopefully it is forgotten next year.
